The German couple who’s running the Khao Tao Beach Lodge is very pet friendly. They have two dogs on their own and you’re allowed to bring your pet. The German cuisine is very tasty and rich in variety. If you’re really hungry, try the eggs-bacon-sausage breakfast. The bacon is thin and crispy, delicious!

745 baht for a ham and cheese sandwich and 3 large Chang and more than one hr waiting for the sandwich is a bit much won't be going there again

I had an excellent stay. It was very peaceful, relaxing, and homey. It was exactly what I was looking for - to be away from the city for a bit. The view of the beach and especially the sunrise from the balcony was just amazing. The sound of the waves was very relaxing. Too bad I was there when the kitchen was closed (Mondays and Tuesdays) but still 5 stars!! Their dogs Magnus and Sally were also great company!

Very messy place. Nothing nice. Owners friendly. No quality food. Potato Gratin was first served cold and after then out of the microwave. No cheese, just too thinly cut potato with warm milk. They have to do a lot of work to get it nice there. Ps. Because of the wrong reply on this review I changed the two stars to one star.

This place is one of the best kept secrets close to Hua Hin. Next to a beach which hardly gets any people compared to the busy beaches. Decided to try some of the food, the food was great, they are mainly focused on German style, so if you like quality German good, this is a great place. There was a small mix up with the food with them bringing one item first without the other. They brought everything else soon afterwards. And what I liked was they owned their mistake and made me feel valued. You know people are focused on you when they do this They also apologized for it even though there was no need And they finished with a free shot of home made snaptz Very homely feel and they really care about their customers. My go to place to relax!!!

I visited this place twice. The first time we had The Great Schnitzel and spaetzle and we very much enjoyed it. The second time, we came by around lunch time and it wasn’t clear if the restaurant was open or closed. So I walked in and asked and the owner very aggressively barked “we’re closed, can’t you read the sign on the gate?” The gate was open so the sign was 75% covered. Long story short, tasty and filling food but an owner who’s apparently full of it himself. I won’t support nor recommend a place that seemingly lacks basic kindness, not when there are so many other restaurants in Hua Hin with tasty food AND friendly staff.

I absolutely loved this place! The rooms were fully booked, so I decided to dine at the restaurant, and I'm so glad I did. The staff and owners were incredibly accommodating and made me feel very welcome. They patiently explained the German dishes on the menu. Although I'm not a steak expert, I enjoyed the German steak I ordered, and loved it so much that I came back the next day to have it again. Unfortunately, I arrived too early, as the restaurant opens at 11am, but the owners were gracious enough to offer me coffee instead. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Food excellent. Atmosphere excellent. Always well looked after by our friends here. They cater for parties and accommodation is nice on beach front location that is pet friendly.

I love the chill and cozy vibes at this hotel😃It’s located right next to the beach, the owners and their dogs were really friendly, and they serve delicious german sausages. The live music band on Sunday evening is pretty great as well. However, the blanket was to thin, it could be kinda cold at night😖 They charge THB200 when we check in with our dog, and if the room is not messy when we check out, they won’t charge extra😀 Overall its a pet friendly and chilling hotel, my dog had a great time there as well😃😃

💐 Comfortable and delicious. The menu here is chockablock with European and Thai dishes. We had schnitzel and spatzle all round and they were great. Pro tip, order the mushroom sauce. The mushrooms fell in love with white wine and cognac, who knew😍.Our service here was impeccable. Looking forward to many more visits.

Went there for the long awaited seafood Paella, all 4 of us enjoyed the food, ambiance & especially the owners & chef's personal touch in ensuring that we were comfortable. Definitely a 'must visit' place. They also have rooms to rent with an ocean view.

It is certainly located on a very lovely spot on Khao-tao beach. However, we didn't stay here, only dined. The food was great and came in a pretty big portion. Kids can just run around the beach, entertaining themselves, while the adults are chatting. It seems a bit understaff though. When we were there, the service was very slow because there was only one waitress to both taking orders, serving food, and tidying up tables. Nonetheless, it is a very convenient and worth-your-money restaurant while you are strolling southward on Khao-tao beach.

We had the schnitzel and some meatballs. The schnitzel was okay but not really tasty. Meatballs were laughably small and very salty The place could use some maintenance as it looks a bit untidy inside and out Good place to have a drink.

We only came to have a dinner with a party of 8. I loved the place as soon as i get there, and saw the menu. The location is great as been discribed it is all thruth. Nice music, and a good beer, and wine. It is a pleasure to choose food as a Dutch guy, i liked everything. Nam lai lai as Thai sometimes say. We eat al great dishes. I been many times to Germany, and eat schnitzel, but this was farway the best. Antrecote on a Hot plate, fantastic. So i Come back. Over two years i will live in Hua hin, and this is the place when i missing Dutch food. Thanks

Expensive and slow service but very nice atmosphere/view. Try to visit early morning or late afternoon so you can walk the short beach. Good photo opportunities.

Lovely and very relaxing place like a private beach no one was there,some restaurants along the beach and coffee shop,good water for swimming. It’s look like there’s some nice beach front hotels that look very authentic and relax

Awesome place to eat, tasty and big portions. Price are good for what you get. Shnitzel is huge, service is good.

Went there to eat lunch. Plenty of parking on the back. Restaurant with direct access to the beach. Menu is impressive. We tried the famous schnitzel, very good and very very large super xl :)) excellent coffees and espressos. The owner is a very nice person and manage very well his place! We ll come back for sure!
