BEWARE

VIOLENT
AND
DANGEROUS
SCAMMERS.
My
girlfriend
and
I
went
out
for
the
night,
after
most
things
closed,
a
tuk-tuk
driver
approached
us
to
take
us
"dancing."
My
girlfriend
and
I
were
happy
to
prolong
out
evening
out,
and
we
were
taken
to
Together
Karaoke,
whisked
inside,
and
sat
down
in
a
room...
which
wasn't
what
we
were
expecting.
We
both
like
Karaoke
though,
so
decided
to
go
along.
I've
traveled
enough
to
know
to
get
verification
of
prices,
and
verified
with
the
manager
that
our
bill
should
be
~1200
baht
before
we
agreed
to
stay.
After
30
minutes
(we
were
supposed
to
get
an
hour)
a
group
of
folks
came
in
with
the
bill,
which
was
FAR
above
the
price
agreed
on.
We
literally
didn't
have
that
sort
of
money
on
us.
We
refused
to
pay
the
price
they
were
asking,
and
soon
the
room
went
from
us
and
6
others,
to
them
bringing
around
15
people
in.
They
threatened
us
with
violence,
wouldn't
allow
us
to
call
the
police
(I
tried,
and
they
tried
to
break
my
phone),
and
physically
assaulted
us.
Yes,
they
were
even
punching
my
girlfriend.
This
went
on
for
almost
an
hour,
and
they
had
us
locked
in
a
room
and
would
not
allow
us
to
leave.
Eventually
they
searched
us,
and
found
my
girlfriend
had
a
credit
card
on
her.
They
then
threatened
my
girlfriend
that
they
would
send
me
to
the
hospital
if
she
didn't
go
to
the
ATM
and
withdraw
money.
At
this
point,
being
tired
of
being
hit,
and
knowing
there
wasn't
a
good
way
out,
we
were
forced
to
comply.
They
followed
us,
as
a
group
of
~15
people,
to
the
ATM,
and
surrounded
us
while
money
was
being
withdrawn.
The
people
running
this
place
deserve
to
be
in
a
prison.
Another
note,
after
doing
some
sleuthing
on
the
individuals
involved
in
the
confrontation
(Facebook
is
amazing),
we
come
to
find
that
they
have
political
connections,
and
one
of
the
people
is
even
running
for
public
office.
This
must
be
why
they've
been
able
to
run
their
scam
for
so
long.
