I moved from New Jersey and decided to order their catering food for Easter. Unfortunately the whole experience was horrible. It’s hard to find good Italian food that like I’m used to back home so I expected this to taste similar but it was far from that. Everything was tasteless, the sauce was worse than something you would purchase in a food store. The chicken was so bland we couldn’t even finish eating it. On top of that the portions they give you for the price you pay is basically highway robbery. Very disappointed to say the least.

The quality of the sandwiches here are second to none. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Very friendly staff and great prices. I’ll be coming here regularly.

Fresh baked bread ✔ . Soft inside, crunchy outside. Italian meats, cheese, toppings ✔. Full of flavor. This was a great small business. Do not expect portions comparable to Jersey Mike's as you will be disappointed. The cannoli was exceptional.

One of my VERY favorite places in all of Atlanta… the homemade Italian sausage is amazing and I use it in my spaghetti sauce in addition to my homemade meatballs. I literally can’t make sauce without it!!! The cannoli are awesome too. I’m originally from upstate New York and markets like this are fairly common up there, but this is the ONLY one in Atlanta and fortunately it’s fabulous. Just wish it wasn’t an hour’s drive away… don’t you guys want to open a store in Acworth/Kennesaw?? 😂

The quality of the items was very good. Price points reflected the value received. Would have been 5 stars but out-of-stock on three items on my list. Service was very helpful; definitely felt like a family run operation.

Great selection of everything Italian, everything deli. Large selection of sandwiches and deli salads, etc. Nice covered/indoor dining space that has so many windows it feels like outdoor seating...nice and breezy this time of year.. August. They'll bring your food out to the table. Staff are quick and friendly. Lots of wines and specialty cheeses and other dishes.

Identity: something Dunwoody lacks, yet this place radiates with identity and community. The food is phenomenal, the goods they have on sale are lovely and fairly priced, I've passed by this place for years and have always been too busy, but I decided to stop by finally last week and go in and try a sandwich, I felt like for a brief moment while in that store there was a sense of good faith, community, and a complete lack of the ego you find in Dunwoody. I highly recommend this establishment, the staff are super warm and friendly, and it's clean and everything is set up where you actually feel like you're in a market and not in modern day suburbia. Well done to the hard-working staff and owners.

I just don't understand, why it took me so long to find this deli. I just ate the best hero I have had since leaving New York. Sat in the parking lot and waited for the market to open and it was well worth the wait. Greeted by the manager and when she asked , "what can I get for you".....I almost froze! There was so much that I wanted, and so much that they have in this market. She had to rein me in, and say "OK, let's start with the bread first". That slapped me back to reality, and was able to place a decent sized order that was made ready while I perused the store. This place is great! Everything was really good, but the Provolone cheese, the chocolate eclair, the pesto and the semolina rolls were exceptional!! Counting down until I work on that side of town again!

Lunch was delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed our food. We plan to return more often in the future. The grocery business has a lot of high quality Italian and Italian inspired items.

Such a great place for a planned, or even unplanned, meal. Charcuterie and pickled delicacies from E. 48th. Great food, great service, great people!

I was born and raised in northern NJ and one of the things I miss the most is a good deli. My fiancé and I decided to give this place a try and we were be very underwhelmed. We got 2 heroes, the bread was just ok, and they barely had anything on them. The fresh mozzarella is great and they had some beautiful loaves of semolina and ciabatta bread. That’s what they should put the sandwiches on. Cannoli was pretty bland but the Italian rum cake was good. Overall it had the look and feel of an italian deli and the service was excellent. The food just fell a little flat for us.

Wonderful family owned and operated Italian deli, bakery and grocer. Quaint atmosphere and front porch dining area. Pick up or take out. Cater options for pick up. Super kind and accommodating service. Delicious food. Worth a trip just for the variety of deserts and biscotti!

I received Impeccable and informative service during my first visit. I had the #7 and added turkey and onions; I also tried the chicken noodle soup which was homemade and with real white meat chicken, I also had the lasagna bolognese on rigatoni with a touch of Alfredo sauce and all of these dishes I’d definitely order again. My bf also had the meatball sub not pictured. While in the store we also picked up the bottle of almond flavored syrup pictured that was also delicious when mixed into our beverage. I have already made plans to return and share a meal with friends.

Good food but overpriced and staff less than pleasant I made a large phone order the gentleman taking order did not appear to have patience, less than friendly, made me feel rushed Sort of an implicit hurry up so I can get you off my phone. Went to pick up arrived early heard chatter in the back, saying he is too early young lady upfront was gracious I will not be back

Love this place ❤ Reminds me of home. The best semolina bread, cannolis, rainbow cookies, tiramisu, and pretty much everything else. They even have Chevalatta!! We drive an hour to go here... for the last 20 years.

Had lunch this week at one of my favorite places in Dunwoody-East 48th Street Market. It’s a fast casual restaurant AND Italian market that sells lots of items that you would not normally find in a Publix type store. My meatball sandwich is pictured-it was Excellent. The staff at this place knows their stuff! If you haven’t been, give it a shot.

Thank God for the E. 48th Street Market. We moved from NY a few months ago and were looking for a real Italian food place. This is it! The food is great and the Italian bread is just as good if not BETTER than Brooklyn!!! And the cannoli can compete with Brooklyn’s Villabate Alba. I can’t believe this masterpiece of a market. I unconditionally recommend it.

We have been coming to East 48 for years and it always feels like we are coming home. They have delicious food, a great wine selection and lots of goodies in their market. We always love seeing Charlie, Andrea and Walter!

I just found out about this place and was upset I didn't know about it sooner. Their sandwiches are delicious and affordable plus the fresh Italian ingredients make this the go to spot for any Italian dish.

I love this place for everything in general. Great staff and wonderful food. The #7 sub is my fave every so often. It's so fresh and tasty!!! The best anchovies I have ever had!!

I went in to get an assortment of cookies. They asked me if I was sure I wanted that many cookies. I told them there would be 10 people and they told me that would be too many cookies. So what? Let's say the 10 of us couldn't eat every last cookie in one sitting -- so what? I have never heard of a business trying to sell less or questioning and doubting what a customer wants. Very patronizing behavior. That was my first and last visit.

Been eating here for 35 years. There is nothing like this anywhere out here. I will continue to visit until they close the doors, or the good Lord takes me home.

Did you know you can get fresh pesto here? You don't even have to get a lot. Pay as much as you want. Also their Bresola is so good even though it breaks the bank. The sopressa salami reminds me of the wine salami I get in Vancouver. ❤️

I wanted a homemade alfredo sauce for my daughter, so I went and bought on Tuesday, respectfully, it was disgusting & the worst i ever tested. we are Italian, there is nothing Italian about that sauce & expensive. i could have gotten alfredo sauce from the Jar at Kroger cheaper and tastier

I'm from New Jersey and I've been working in Birmingham for the past year. I've been craving an italian hoagie on real bread for a while. I took a day trip to Atlanta and typed in italian deli near me. The photos passed my test. I ordered the italian hoagie plus prosciutto and roasted red peppers. It was AMAZING!!! It hit the spot. It tasted like an authentic italian hoagie and the bread was delicious.

Enjoyed a wonderful book about Sicily (Auntie Poldi series)...then had my book club for lunch on a Wednesday. Twas so lucky it was Wednesday and lunch...the two Sicilian specials made an amazing ladies lunch with enjoyable leftovers!! Totally spot on!! Thanks for a great luncheon.

This place is like Cheers without the booze... except they have great wine! They know your name, know what you like, and have amazing, authentically Italian food. And the pasta sauce?!? The BEST!

Visited Saturday 3/12, ordered an Italian sub adding extra onions and extra oil. I received neither. I just cannot eat a dry sandwich. I kindly went back to request the extra onions and extra oil. In return, I received a half bitten sub, hopefully it was mine, along with a portion of a miscellaneous bread that was half eaten that clearly was not a part of the sub. How disappointing. I really would like to have enjoyed my sub most importantly I would love to have left a positive review.

This Deli is fantastic. It's a little taste of The Northeast. We had the cannolis,we tried the Italian sausage and we bought the pizza kit. All of it was amazing.. I highly recommend!!!

The sandwich was great. Busy, as you’d expect at lunch on Saturday, but worth it. Also a neat shaded outside to eat. Be sure to pick up other Italian staples while you’re there. I’ll definitely be going back to try everything they have.

Amazing find near the campus where I'll be taking classes. This is a classic Italian deli right in the north side of Atlanta. Sandwich and pasta salad was amazing and I bought an incredible lasagna and meatballs for dinner. Definitely stop by and check it out
