Welcome the summer season by heading out to this place in Scotia! Coolest place for quick eats ! Right next to a park and the river, the best location to enjoy sunshine and the good food !

First time here today. I'm highly disappointed. All frozen food, none was made to order. My fries were hard and onion rings crispy. I'm assuming from sitting under the heater until someone ordered them. I've heard so many great things and it just isn't some place I'd make a day out of again. Prices are good though. Went over to get ice cream and only had 3 options to choose from. Normal chocolate, vanilla, and mixed. Only black raspberry frozen yogurt. Just wasn't what I expected it to be.

Jumpin Jack's is an old friend that greets us every year. It was rainy (who cares) and the food was just what you should expect. They have been there since 1952 so they know what they are doing! There's live music and water skiing displays posted on their website. Thank you for being there for us every summer ☀️ 😀

Been coming here for 40 plus years. Great food ( grab a jack burger) strawberry milkshake is always great. We enjoy the food and friendly service. They have the waterski shows during the summer along with some outdoor entertainment out in the back area.

Local favorite. Clam fry, fish fry, fry fry… let’s just say not for the gluten intolerant.

This place was great! It’s not just about the food but it’s about the whole experience you get when here. Hope to be back one day! The Jackburger was excellent and I’m so happy I didn’t pass on the Fried Dough.

Very family oriented as well as a perfect place to stop & grab a quick bite to eat and be on your way. During the summer they offer water sport acrobatics. There is also a park right next door as well as the Glenn Sanders Mansion.

I was back in town and just had to return to old stomping grounds and Jumpin Jack’s is near the top of the list! Great place to meet up with friends or take your family out to. Convenient park right across the street to picnic at. There’s also a cool area to watch water skiing behind Jumpin’ Jack’s. Plenty of parking next to several covered picnic tables. The employees are very friendly and efficient. Give them a tip and they’ll yell out a cheer thanks! 😉 I couldn’t decide what to eat so I got a variety.

This place is a summertime must. The food is delicious, bad with all the grease, but who cares. I've gone there for 60 yrs plus, and it's the same as in the 1950s. Cheeseburgers r my go to meal. I don't need fries. 2 cheeseburgers with nickels and I'm happy. P.S. nickels r slices.of raw onions.

Awesome place to stop with lots of picnic tables and a park nearby. Typical fast food but awesome selection of icecream! They have dairy free, sugar free, sorbet, dole whip, soft and hard ice cream. A super popular place definitely worth stopping if you never have

I am always looking for stories of Great Burger Joints and this was one that Lived up to the Hype! Great Food at a Place with an Old School Burger Joint Feel! This is a Place you do not just visit once. I will be Bringing Friends here for years to come!

A staple of Schenectady. Been going here for 32 years and it's kind of nice how it hasn't changed that much. The service is quick and friendly. The food is pretty good at a reasonable price. Great place to take the family. With the park, stage and river nearby there is plenty to enjoy in the summer. No vegan options unless you want a frozen treat. But they do have dairy free and vegetarian options for those that are meatless. I hope they continue to succeed for years to come.

It’s all about the experience. I love jumpin jacks! And I personally think the food is DELICIOUS! I highly recommend trying hotdogs, a side of nacho cheese sauce to put on the dogs, and then add a French fry or two to the hotdogs. Sounds weird, but man is it good! Reminds me of being a kid at summer camp. Regardless, all of the food is good, the workers are always friendly, even as the staff has changed over the last few years, and the outdoor, on the water atmosphere is great for summer days.

In my humble opinion, the owners should accept pay options other than only cash. It makes it seem (only a perception) that they're not paying their full tax burden. Not everyone carries cash around to pay for food. I do but many others don't. When I was waiting on line to place my order three potential customers left because of the cash-only policy. Hope this suggestion is helpful.

This is an all time great spot. Simple, delicious food at reasonable pricing. Great location next to a park fit for plenty of activities. Ice cream spot attached to the main food area. My only problem was the flavor for the peanut butter milkshake was pretty strong and could tell it was an artificial flavor instead of a real pb milkshake.

Place was nice and pack, very popular in the summer. They have nice seating areas. I was not impressed with the food. I have the shrimp dinner and it was not really a wow experience, however their anions rings were very good, definitely recommend that, but everything else was ok.

I've been going here since a kid, so there's nostalgia involved. When the lines are long, the employees take orders fast and are always on top of moving fast with cooking. I've always had my order correct. I like to keep it simple with a cheeseburger, onion rings and don't forget a milkshake or icecream cone!

Short menu of standards. Even when the line is long, it goes quickly! Be ready with what you want to order when asked. Prices aren't bad considering everywhere else's pricing. Order the fried dough, you will not regret it. The jack burger is a must have, double stacked cheeseburger with coleslaw. The ice cream in the second building is great! Check the schedule for events, or enjoy the park across the street. Parking lot can fill up, but they do have spots around back of the buildings also.

We were driving from syracuse to Connecticut and we were on an adventure to find somewhere unique that wasn't McDonald's or burger King. This was such a neat place. The workers are so prepared with getting food orders before the turn to buy is up . Like being at the fair without all the congestion of people . Highly recommend

I was a teenager in the 70’s and ate here all the time. Since then, I’ve only come back home a handful of times. When I do, it’s a must to eat at Jumpin’ Jack’s. It’s like a time warp. Nothing, really, nothing has changed! It’s the best! When I talk to other “ex-pats”, they all feel the exact same. My guess - 50 years from now, it’ll be the same. What a treasured resource.

Went for a motorcycle ride with my father the other day (26 Aug 2023) and we decided to stop over at Jumpin’ Jacks for lunch… food was good and it’s always a great atmosphere if you want to eat outside. I have never had a bad experience up until yesterday. As my father was waiting for our food I went to the checkout window to grab drinks and pay for our food. Upon getting our drinks the cashier asked if there was anything else… I began to tell her what we ordered and she rudely interrupted me saying that she must visibly see what we ordered. As I then told her I’m going to set the drinks down at the open table by our motorcycles I was met with rude sarcasm. My father believed we had paid and began to put condiments on our food at the condiment stand approximately 10 feet away… This cashier demanded (not asked) my father come to the counter as he was putting ketchup on his cheeseburger and as I reproached to pay I again told her what we ordered and we showed her the tray… she then had the audacity to say to me “Are you both too lazy to step up to the window?” To follow this up the soda I received was bad (watered down) and when I went back to the same window to get a different brand I was met with hostility and was not believed as they then went to try the soda to verify I was not lying to them. I always recommend you go to Jumpin’ Jacks if your in the area as it’s always a great place for food but I now sadly retract that statement after yesterday’s visit. I’ll be sticking to Jack’s Drive-Inn over in Wynantskill due to this cashier’s behavior. For the management of Jumpin’ Jacks… this cashier should be disciplined for her rude behavior to your customers. As due to her behavior you have lost 2 customers.

If you like yummy yummy yummy food…. This place is not for you. Food was eatable… it has no flavor no spice nothing…. I got a grilled chicken sandwich - the chicken has nothing in it. Also the fries are pretty ok. Anyways The atmosphere/location is why this place is popping!

If it was a few years ago I'd have given 5 stars across the board. My family has been eating here for generations. The most recent time I noticed they started having women working there. That was never the case before. The food now tastes different. Despite those two things it's still jacks and I still love it. It's just not the same as it used to be.

If you are looking for a quality, inexpensive place to bring your family this is it!! Food was very good, service was a bit slow (it was BUSY), ice icream was just what we needed. We fed 3 people, with ice cream, for just under $27. Definitely going back even though we are about 20 miles from there. Yup that good!!
