Trying to give a fair and honest overview. The doctors and nursing staff in this practice are pleasant, polite and helpful, even under pressure. I have always received appropriate treatment, referrals and advice. However getting an appointment is far from easy. The practice should look at its phone systems which are failing badly. I called 103 times and then waited 21 mins before being able to speak to someone. It's hardly surprising that there are so many bad tempered patients when they cannot even get through to a receptionist let alone make an appointment! What do they expect? I was very sick at the time and found it unnecessarily stressful. Other patients are taking time off work just to get through. Those who can't spend hours on the phone are unable to get an appointment at all...this part is very bad and could eve be life endangering! No wonder A&E's are unnecessarily overloaded if people can't see their GP when they need help. Most of the receptionists are pleasant and helpful - but there are some who bite! Be nice because biting back makes them worse. Sadly the reputation of this practice has gone down enormously since the covid disruptions and it is not recovering. Its major fault is its inaccessibility! Please, please can we return to being able to book an appointment on the website as this would be patient friendly, temper friendly, phone line friendly, receptionist friendly and way, way more efficient.

Honestly the worst gp practice in Sheffield and I've been to a lot. Absolute disgrace of care and just pure negligence to all it's patients. I have found only one good doctor and one or two good nurses, the rest of the staff are horrible. Never any appointments available, no matter the time you ring or how many times you try, talked to rudely, ignored about the reasons you have attended, have waited up to 1 and half hours before, had appointments changed last minute without being told, a doctor refusing to see me on my appointment date and time, once got told by a doctor that my self harming didn't look that bad and gave me no help at all for my mental state, no appointments given to my newborn and had to be taken instead to A&E twice, the list goes on and on. Take everyone's advice and stay away from this practice.

Tried calling on behalf of my mother this morning as she starts work from 7:30am and unable to call herself, I called 181 times and had the user busy immediately, no ringing at all from 8am to 9:30am. My mum then rang while on her break and was told only 5 people have been on the phone but was still unable to get an appointment. My mum then went to the centre to collect login details for online appointments, where none are available from today 27th March through to June. How ridiculous! She is now going to have to wait until she is on holiday from work to go and stand outside at the door to get an appointment about an issue that has been a concern since January. This has been an ongoing issue for such an extended period of time as both my mum and brother continually have issues with getting any appointment. How can they expect to help those in need when they have no availability for people for 3 months from the time they need an appointment. No one plans to be ill 3 month in advance.

Terrible practice, receptionist are rude and abrupt, you don't get to see a doctor only a nurse practitioner who I have to. say had no clue what was wrong with me I had to tell her ! She prescribed the wrong antibiotic to which I had to go back again once I'd finished that prescription only for the nurse practitioner to prescribe the same medication, I gave up and rang 111 got to see a doctor at NG who prescribed me the correct antibiotic and I was feeling better within a few days hence I've now left this awful.practice and now at Richmond medical practice who I have to say are are excellent.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I've been with with this doctors all my life and its an absolute disgrace. Its the only doctors I've ever heard of that doesn't put you in a waiting queue. It just says line busy and doesn't let you call. I have recently had to call them almost 50 times just to then wait 25 minutes for someone to actually answer the phone. Its so disheartening to struggle so much to get help from your own doctors. Worst doctors in Sheffield.

Although I have only received the best care from doctors and politeness from receptionists something really needs to be done about contacting the centre by phone. Stop blaming covid guidelines and abusive patients.its the Job of the practice managers to get it sorted out. Get us back to queueing system so that we at least have a fighting chance. I have friends using all the other surrounding medical centres and they are shocked at how ours is run. My worry is, what if 1 of these people trying to get thru has cancer they don't know about, and they are trying for weeks to get through. Your system isn't working please listen to your patients.

Always ringing at 8am in the morning for an appointment no one ever seems to pick up due to it being “so busy” then when I get through there’s no appointments! This has never been the case at any doctors I’ve been to, maybe if they weren’t late all the time and chit chatting walking round like they have all day this wouldn’t be so much the problem. Shame I live so near by otherwise I’d definitely stick to Norfolk park doctors one of the best! Not happy

Can not be 0 star's or it would be. Phone after work 10:00am now 13:03. Just ring the the computer end your call rang over and over for 3+ hours no one will pick up. 111 says see my Dr within the hour.... Impossible or this is a fake number and website. Claim door is open hahaha. Close the place down only good for COVID jabs. Text after text after text but with a heart condition you get no response. Joke of a place or again fake. Only 35 reviews but it's the talk of Woodhouse everyone says same.

I am absolutely disappointed and astonished with the level of service of this practice. I will not go into specifics but there is a severe lack of compassion and out right neglect to the patients that come here. Refusing to prescribe medication that could more or less increase someone’s well being is disgusting. Let alone belittling the patient for asking for this medication. If this is the experience of this surgery then it needs shutting down or seriously thinking about it’s mindset towards its patients. Appalling.

Worst health centre I've ever been with. It takes days to get through on the phone and can't get an appointment. In all the years I've been with this surgery I've never seen a doctor. They tell you not to be rude or swear at the receptionist but the receptionist are rude and abrupt to the patients. I'm seriously looking for another practice.

They did a blood test without washing hands or gloves and no alcohol wipes. Call without appointments and tell you you’ve missed it . Then when you do have an appointment they never call. This is the experience of 3 patience

Awful surgery... My very poorly uncle attended a 8pm appointment and was told to go home and ring for a ambulance... resulting in a 7 day hospital admission... No care or respect for patients. Also male receptionist texting on his phone !! Surely he could have rang the ambulance for my very poorly uncle.

The worst health centre in Sheffield. The receptionists have a disgusting attitude and their job is too much effort for them, who ever runs this place should be ashamed of themselves bringing in the bad mannered individuals to deal with ill people over the phone. The NHS should investigate the behaviour of the staff at this health centre because it’s unacceptable and to be quite honest, they don’t deserve to have a job.

I am not registered at this practice but have been this morning with my disabled daughter who has a learning disability for our covid 19 vaccine and have to say the service was second to none. Staff were very friendly and patient with my daughter, the whole thing is run like a military operation resulting in a very positive experience

This surgery is the worst I have ever known. Takes weeks to get through on the phone and on the very rare occasion you do there are no appointments available.

I've just tried to read the current reviews for this surgery, and find that the link for this facility has most probably been inactivated maybe because of the bad experience you have when trying to gain an appointment, I've been a patient for many years, since1989 and have witnessed the deterioration of a perfectly fit for purpose doctors surgery to a place that people struggle to trust the person on the other end of the phone, I know it's been difficult during the Covid time but turning people away at this time is not good, Dr Gerrard Rooney who was a amazing doctor who never turned a patient away will be turning in his grave. I have just read the last the Last CQC report, a gleaming interesting read I wonder if they tried to ring up for an appointment doubt it.

Can't rate less than a star. The most terrible doctors. You can never get through to them. When you ring their number it's says their closed but their actually open. Wouldn't recommend to anyone at all.

Would have given no stars if that had been possible . I was given wrong blood results a while ago , they rang a couple of weeks ago discussing a patient . I interrupted and said you have wrong person , I don't complete surveys , they say they are confidential yet I got a reply from receptionist , the doctors conflict each others diagnosis and treatment , trying to get passed a receptionist is so difficult . Doctors say you can prebook appointments yet when you ring they say no . If you are lucky enough to get an appointment and get home and read your doctors record online that the information wasn't what happened in the appointment .I would never recommend anyone to join this surgery . I can't wait to leave . What a joke this place is and dangerous to patients health .

I am absolutely disgusted at this doctors, rang regarding daughter in law ,rang back to ask for appointment to be told couldn't talk to me cause didn't have permission, but had already had a conversation earlier about her, lots of things to complain about ,even had to take my baby grandson to my doctors for medication as they couldn't see him,and missed her main meds from her nomad .

5 stars for the medical and nursing staff +receptionists Less stars for making appointments as its really hard to make any appointment over the phone. However, I cannot fault the staff and their treatment. Always kind and professional.

Cannot even get through on the phone, have started phoning since 8am just dead tone - have rang 25 times so far - still no answer - just to add I am still ringing to get through - it just has 6 beeps and then cuts you off - on the website it says it opened at 8am - we are now at 50 times trying to get through - this doctors needs to be reported

I've always found them 5star sorry I'm moving away and having to leave. Been with them since birth. Had one or two negatives but at the side of other practices I've been lucky. Nurses are amazing. Could do with a better morning phone system though

I tried all morning to get through to the surgery for my husband as he had problems with his eyes (must be bad for him to ask for me to ring as doesn’t like going). Could not even get through line just dead. Had to go to chemist gave him drops, now sat at the walk in centre as his eyes are worse. The medical centre is a joke

Absolutely shocking. I went in with sciatica & was told it was a kidney infection (even though I told her I didn't have any symptoms of kidney infection) then proceeded to not give me anything to help with the pain or "infection".

My experience with this centre has been outstanding. The doctors have been attentive and very helpful. Never felt rushed and always felt that everyone in the centre was delivering superb service. Can be a bit difficult to get through on the phone sometimes, but apart from that - 5 Stars!

Well I haven't had to use the surgery since the first lockdown so I can't comment on recent problems . But before then i always found the doctors , nurses and receptionists to be excellent. I do not believe some of the reviews that people have posted, 3 years ago I made an appointment due to a lump I had detected on my neck . The young doctor had a look and said it was probably a cyst and that we should keep an eye on it . I said I'd also got ha bit of trouble with my leg , I believed I had pulled or torn a muscle and could do do with some painkillers . I took my trousers down so that she could examine me .. 5 minutes later I was on my way to the Hospital for a scan which showed a deep vein thrombosis. . . . Ended up with 10 weeks off work and on medication for life . . . . So we'll spotted doctor and Thank you

I went here to have my contraceptive implant changed as my own GP couldn't fit me in. It was a little awkward to find the door I needed to use as it wasn't the main building for out of hours visits but when I got in I was seen by Gloria who was very friendly and professional.

They never answer the phone been ringing since 11am and all they do is put the phone down I was born with Ezcema and I've had a really bad flare out all I need is cream but no they just ignore every call, I could be dying and this GP would be the LAST place I call so unprofessional

Have not had a single bad experience with the place, people, staff or even booking an appointment (not that I go often, thankfully). The booking system is not the practices fault it is based in guidelines laid down years ago by this government, I understand. They are now trialling an online portal for repeat prescriptions and non urgent queries that I have used on 4 occasions and been amazed by some of the callback speeds, most notably when they called me within 10 minutes to get my second covid jab. Learn how to use the systems available rather than all calling at 8am.

My prescription is up for review, so i need to contact the surgery. I work full time so i haven't got the time to sit calling all day long. I've tried to get through on the phone 97 times over the last 3 weeks with no luck (a constant busy tone). What are my options before i end up at A&E due to not getting my prescription?

  • 1/5 Harriet C. 2 years ago on Google
I wish I could score 0 out of 5 Quite possibly the worst doctors I've ever known. I've been a patient of a few different GPs around South Yorkshire. This is honestly the worst. Terrible reception staff. Takes ages to get through, when you do they are rude and they lie. Last week I was told this surgery doesn't provide fit notes (sick notes) when they do. I was told all triage appointments are gone within the first 20mins of them opening. I've been told they can't sent correspondence by email. It's like they find a new lie every conversation. If you can ever get past the dreadful reception staff, the doctors are nice
