I am giving that facility one star because there isn’t anything below that.I wish by there was. I opened an account with Blink Fitness on 02/03/2020. In March 2020, they unilaterally closed the account without sending me any notification either by email, mail or telephone. I never heard from them until December 2021 when they decided to charge my credit card without notifying me that they reopened. I contacted my bank and had the charged annulled. Then I called the number of the facility in Irvington I was going to in order to cancel my subscription. I was told that I had to go in person to the facility in order to cancel. I went there twice. I was told there that I had to pay for 2 months before they cancel. Which I refused to pay because I made it clear to management by phone and in person that I cancelled my subscription and that to me the subscription was no longer valid because the facility closed for 6 months. Meantime, they kept charging me until the bill came to $173. When I subscribed I was never informed that I had to do the cancellation in writing . I was never handed a paper contract to sign. I was directed to a machine in the facility and I was asked to click on a couple of links to subscribe. That is a scam. That is a hustle. Blink fitness makes sure that customers do not receive a paper document nor direct them to a contract so that they can later collect money from them until they find out that the cancellation has to be done in writing. What a scam!! That is criminal !!! If blink fitness was the last fitness company on earth , I will never use or refer anybody to that company. As a matter of fact I will inform everybody I know that Blink fitness is a facility they need to stay away from. I just paid $173 to settle this nonsense hustle from blink fitness. They better not try to mail or email or call my number with any advertisement Shameful company!!

For three months now I have been trying to get in contact with someone in customer service about an issue I’ve had at one of their facilities. For three months I’ve been given the run around and have yet to speak to anyone. First, Tara Monroe said that she would connect me with the club manager where I had the issue. This was March 6, 2023. Then after following up because I heard NOTHING, Bruno Lima on MAY 8th tells me the same thing. LIES. Not one person reached out. So now I have to take it to the BBB because I’m getting nowhere with this horrible customer service and I definitely have the bandwidth to see this to the end. Edit: June 13, 2023- Still not a peep from member services. Take your money elsewhere because these people honestly DONT care whether you are injured or what. They got your money and that is all that matters to them

If I could give zero stars I would. The Blink never notified me when they reopened after Covid 19 closure. Out of nowhere many months later, I get email about charges that I must pay for the time that I thought gym was closed. I reached out and was told to write the letter to their headquarters and explain of what happened. How this place still operates beats me. No one called or responded to my letter. I recently signed up my dad and because we had the same last name and my email he was hit with the charges that should have been removed. Very unprofessional, sneaky and totally bogus policy Blink Corporation runs!!!!!!!

They charge an annual fee on top of the monthly membership subscriptions which the sales rep at the gym will not tell you about even if you ask them directly if there are any additional charges. They require 45 days notice of cancellation and only allow you to cancel at the gym location. A customer service line that does nothing to handle issues with membership or a gym location. Unresponsive to feedback. An overall extremely hostile customer experience. I understand that it seems like a decent deal at first but the low monthly membership is not the amount you are actually billed once they apply a yearly maintenance fee, which they will charge even if you cancel before that next year starts. The gyms are poor quality and over crowded and there is no concern for safety issues. Its not worth it.

Stole my credit card number and charged me $322 in unauthorized charges. Then refused to cancel my membership after I provided a medical note after I was injured at the gym.

I joined Dec 2019 the Queens Village location and was quite happy with the Cleanliness, the equipment, great location with parking and how nice the staff was! Unfortunately, Covid happened and have not used the gym since March 2020. Needless to say, I was quite happy with how Blink handled membership at the height of Covid, as they kept their communication open and at least on two or three occasions in 2020 gave the opportunity to opt to continue to freeze the membership given Covid. In January 2022, all of a sudden I am getting emails that they have tried to charge my credit card and that somehow my membership was unfrozen without any prior notice by email, postal mail or phone and despite my several attempts at emails and calls to the Queens Village location, no one responds or answers. I then visited the location last Friday and was told the manager was the only one that can help me so I asked the nice staff member to leave a detailed message for the manager, which he did and he promised his manager would get the message and call me back the next day. Unfortunately, the manager never called so I went back yesterday and was told he was off. They said best way was to just cancel the membership, which I did so and had to pay 12.63 to do so, which I reluctantly did. I was again promised that the manager would call me today and never got a call. This morning I got another email from Blink that i owe the past due amount since January 2022 and the annual fees. I finally got a person in the main billing department and they asked me to write to their corporate office which I did. I really hope they sort this out as it is a pity they have a nice facility , they did very well in communication in 2020 and after that radio silence in 2021 and now just unfreezing the membership without prior written notice as they have in 2020 to opt in or out. That said, I am still open to coming back when the pandemic is over, but a shame how they are handling this situation ,no one answering emails, no one picking up phones at the location and even after two visits, the manager has not taken the time to get back to me.

Why would any corporate-sized gym close at 7pm, especially in summer when it doesn't even get dark til 9pm. These gyms are undersized and very crowded, easy relief would be to stay open until at least 11pm, like Harbor Fitness and many others. Even in rural America, gyms have 24-hr access with key-card access. Come on Blink, do better.

The gym itself is fine....the customer service and predatorial billing practices along with the impossible cancellation policy makes it frustrating to say the least. A word of advice to Blink corporate...train your employees. There is a total lack of consistency in information when it comes to cancellation policies as well as what each plan offers, you get different information depending on who you speak with. I was told I had the option to freeze my account given the circumstances with this pandemic only to learn that this was in fact not true. That combined now with a gym who is refusing to enforce protocol ....I never would have joined.

Terrible facility. My membership ended, no one told me for a month (I went 5 days a week) finally someone decided to tell me after watching me swipe in M-F for 4 weeks and seeing on his screen the membership was inactive. So then I had to pay like a would starting a new membership. This summer I had an emergency and literally had to leave in the middle of a work out. I had my street clothes in a locker with a lock, I told a person at the counter I’d be back in the morning. When I got back the follow morning my lock was cut. Then I had to wait almost an hour to locate my possessions which they stored somewhere in a garbage bag. The manager is a joke who told me she didn’t care if she lost me as a member or not. This was 7 months ago. So I stopped making in gym purchases $10-15 a day. Because I had paid the membership for the year.

If you really want to see this company change report them to the BBB and Flood them with negative reviews. A class action lawsuit is needed

Wouldn't let anybody cancel their memberships during the pandemic, and didn't have any in person facilities open in which you could work out. Finally got a collection agency hounding me for fees I never owed in the first place. This franchise-gym is probably making some executives filthy rich, but honestly the establishment should be put out of its misery sooner than later. No way this gym lasts more than a few more years, truly awful service.

I can't say enough bad things about corporate. It was a decent gym to go to but I tried to cancel, it didn't process at the kiosk , and they continued to charge me for months. I explained the situation and they wouldn't refund me any of that money. $170. Do not join Blink Fitness.

The staff are quite nice and friendly always trying very hard to please and keep a good attitude although there are never enough or any towels at all. equipment need fixing shower that's not clean or toilet paper on a Monday morning. Despite of all this the front desk staff are very nice and try very hard to do a good job. I joined Bryant Park Blinks the week it opened in 2015 and I have purchased the towel service then but cancelled because they were never towels and several times my account was charged $5 for towels I was told I did not return. I got tired of this and cancel the service. I cancelled my membership in 2021 due to the Pandemic and rejoined April 2022. I once again purchased the towel service and once I was able to get a hand towel and there is always an issues with towels but today was the worst because i had to dry myself with my clothes I exercised in. I was told towels were not delivered and the on my way out there were 3 bags of dirty towels in the elevator. I am going to buy some camping towels and cancel my towel service. From 2015 - Now they have the same issues with Towel service. That is a management issue not a staff issue.

I had had a great overall experience at Blink fitness for 4 years until it was time to cancel my membership. The company stands behind policies and does not stand by their clients. Specifically being a wellness company it has been incredibly disappointing. I moved out of New York State and needing to cancel my membership was hell! It is still is. I am fighting my annual membership which was automatically attempted to be charged November 6th and I literally physically went to the gym November 7th to cancel my membership as I was moving out November 9th. Up until this date, they are not able to waive the annual fee, nor wanted to cancel my membership in the moment. I had to send PROOF!!!! that I was leaving the state for them to cancel my membership and I am still fighting my annual fee.

DO NOT REGISTER FOR BLINK! Their deals are so sketchy and so is attempting to apply for blink, they hit you with annual fees and at this point it's not even worth it for how crowded and how broken equipment are.

Blink Journal Square is trash. The last few times that I have gone, there was no one at the front desk. The locker rooms are dirty and one of the toilets has been broken for a while.I can’t even count how many machines are broken and out of order. There are dumbells just laying around all over the place. There are also way too many members/guests at this location. You also have tons of teens in there hogging the machines and turning the gym into a playground. There are no set rules for etiquitte in regards to members taking multiple weights and just hogging them. All of these things need to be addressed immediately.

Blink fitness likes to sneak in payments. Their employees tell u that after a year of your membership u can cancel without fees. But they intentionally leave out the part about paying a $30 prorate fee AFTER cancelling. Honestly I wouldn’t be a member there again. Their employees don’t explain payments and then ur card is charged and ur left confused. Only after ur charged is when they can now magically explain where that payment comes from. I was told I get no cancellation fees and I have 45 days left to use the gym after canceling. But they leave out the part of charging u for the 45 days. Instead they just sell u the idea that u don’t she to pay anything for cancelling. How am I gonna use the 45days, if I’ve already move somewhere else far away from the gym. The contract says I can cancel WITHOUT penalty if I move 25 miles or move away from the gym. Apparently, it doesn’t matter. U still have to pay $30 for 45 days After cancelling. It’s all in the agreement they say. Be careful with this gym. They love selling you an idea that’s not true.

If I could give a 0 or a negative star rating, I would. My 16 year old son signed up for a membership without parental consent and Blink never verified his age and I called to try to cancel it when I realized he did. Now they refuse to close his account that I am being held responsible for, WITHOUT MY CONSENT. When I called the branch, the manager was very rude and stated it wasn't their problem and was now mine and if I wanted to cancel his account, I would have to pay a cancelation fee. When I advised that he is a minor and that they have no consent on record and according to all of their online legal requirements, it is their liability to verify an adults age before allowing membership to be taken, the manager said, Well I'm very happy for you but he signed up and it's not my problem. Disgusting!! I hope no-one ever chooses to use Blink and parents BEWARE if your kid is a kid and tries to do something dumb......they'll NEVER own up to their mistakes even if it is proven.

I didn’t even want to give a star but you have to in order to leave a review. Zero stars though. Blink fitness is 100% the worst gym in the United States of America. Please, if you are reading this do not spend your money with blink. I woke up to blink taking $162 out of my bank account this morning. $162. Where the hell did that come from? Well BLINK continently never got my cancellation letter an entire year ago. In 2024, what place of business makes their customers WRITE A LETTER to cancel their membership anyway? This is a convenient scam because they know all they have to say is “we never got the letter” so they can keep charging you. This business is disgusting I’m telling yall keep your money. The reviews are all the same, read them. Blink steals money and there absolutely needs to be a class action lawsuit on this “corporation” or whatever tf they call themselves. I swear you try your best to get yourself together and you have vampire like organizations taking advantage of good ppl! They are ROBBING ppl. Blink fitness is ROBBING ppl and there’s nothing it seems we can do about it.
