Rang up as a chronic asthmatic with a chest infection, receptionist told me to go to minor injuries walk in clinic or ring 111. Just speechless at this point and breathless, literally. There should be repercussions for such a lack of patient care.

Women of Southampton! Do you still live in the 1960's? Are you looking for a doctor who instead of listening to you will put your every symptom down to anxiety? Then this is the surgery for you! However if you're looking for a doctor who listens to and respects you I would avoid. These guys are incapable of even responding to an email let alone actually listening to your medical issues! (And will still insist on anxiety even when expert consultants and all the evidence point to the contrary!) If you do go ahead proceed with caution and watch out for the sneaky extra tests they like to pop in without consent! Good luck ladies!

Either they (rarely) pick up the phone immediately and scare the life out of you or you're stuck on hold. I'd say on average I've waited between 1 and 2 hours on hold but longest was over 2 1/2 hours. This surgery needs a serious overhall or to be closed completely. If there's any positives to say, the nurses I've seen at this surgery are helpful and compassionate.

Absolute waste of time. Been on hold for 2hrs and my partner on hold for 1.5hrs. Absolute joke especially if you’re having a mental health crisis and need an urgent appointment with a GP. You’re better off phoning 111 and getting help with them, much quicker.

Used to be super duper great, but ever since the merge happened they have ruined… i can sense that some docs are god send(Dr. Ranga, Dr. Curtis) and simultaneously some are lazy only pay check grabbers… hide behind sweet but push you away talk and will care less of your agony but to post pone or get rid off attitude… sad that management fail to pick those rotten apples… this is a profession of devotion and no one can stop you if you really care about people you see and treat them well. In order to cover more patients with shabby care it is way better to see less but with proper care… God bless to the Docs who are real Docs… they will know who they are …

worst GP in southampton. At 8 am I was to sign my son to the clinic for consultation with a doctor. The lady at the window told me that the doctor would call around 9 o'clock. I note that for 24 hours my son has a fever of 39.5. he is only 11 months old, I marked it next to the window. Nobody called. I was there around 3 pm asking what about my visit because my son is crying all the time, coughing and has a fever. The lady said she told me the doctor would call after 9. and I answered her well but it's already 3pm. no one called my baby is now in the hospital the ambulance has come to pick him up. I warn you, if you want to risk the health of your loved ones, this is the best place for it. what we spend our taxes on. where is the Hippocratic Oath. this place is one big circus

this is the worst surgery i have ever had. on hold for ever sometimes never getting though. i was once told by the asthma nurse who still works there that i was over worrying about my tight chest and to go home... i stopped breathing two hours after leaving there. i had numoneia and was rushed to a and e. when i conplained, bearing in mind my wife died though breathing related issues i was told catchphases such as "lets put our best feet forward together and other stupid things. id rather have an appointment with Harold Shippman and write him in my will for the effort.NOW THE WORLD IS CHANGING. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

If I could give this Surgery minus stars I most certainly would ! The Surgery is a disgrace. The admin staff and GP's are rude, unhelpful and incompetent. If you question anything you feel is incorrect or unfair in an assertive manner, they accuse you of being aggressive and rude, then write what they want in your medical history notes, black flag you, so then when you visit other NHS services, especially A&E, the nurses treat you differently to all the other patients, they are very curt and are certainly not in a hurry to get you sorted out. They are always messing up repeat prescriptions in a number of different ways, eg: Missing out/not prescribing everything on the repeat slip, not sending the repeat prescription to the chemist and insisting they have done mit, so it's the chemists fault. You get to the chemist and they say they haven't received it and send you back to the surgery, then they send you back to chemist. This went on all afternoon, knowing that I have mobility issues and acute pain. In the end I had to phone 111 and get them to sort it. I could go on all day about how terrible this surgery is, luckily I am not a patient there anymore. If you are currently a patient there, I feel sorry for you.

After reading the reviews on here I was concerned about having my appointment here, but my experience was nothing but positive. The receptionist was friendly and registered my arrival quickly. I waited only a couple of minutes and then was seen. The locum doctor I saw was very helpful and respectful, and I'm happy with the help I received. Parking outside was an issue though as the car park was full and a queue waiting to get in. I recommend arriving early if you plan to drive.

I needed to call surgery and they did not pick up a call even after one hour and 45 minutes on phone so had to end the call. Make sure you have 2 hour spare because had to wait for at least 2 hour before someone pick your call. Deserve 0 star but unfortunately there is no option of 0 star

I just hang up the phone. After 2 hours and 2 minutes waiting ... All this for 38 seconds speaking. It's worth and worth every day❗❗❗ Soon you will need the phone plugged in the charger to make sure you have enough battery until they will answer.

Where do I start ? The receptionists are rude they recently sent me to MIU instead because the doctors couldn’t be bothered to see me and had to wait over 3 hours . Also the phone service is very appalling they rarely answer there phones and if they do then they said they’ll call me back but never do . If an emergency then they make it long and lucky to even get an appointment it’s all a joke the worst doctor surgery in England very appalling!

I've needed them a few times. Each time we was disappointed. We made appointments for children in an emergency, none of which lasted less than 6 months until the appointment. I was with my boy (3 years and 5 months) last week at the GP and they said they had nothing to do, to send him to the specialist ... another appointment. The doctor prescribed me a recipe that I have to pick up from Eastleigh (apparently Southampton doesn't have boots). I hope I never need you and your services again. You are very careless and not at all empathetic with patients who do not come to you for fun, they come because they are sick and need your help. After all, that's why we pay such amount of money to health ( NHS) , right ?!

This surgery abused me! I have been having on going problems with this surgery! The manager LEANNE HUNT was extremely rude with me. This woman emotional abused me, humiliated me, etc Doctor SAIRA SHEIKH lied about my medical treatment! They erased all my medical records, my documents, my medications. And they refused to give it to me! Is so scary how doctors and managers are supposed to protect their patients instead i just got abuse and they pretend to be the victims! SO MUCH INJUSTICE FROM THIS HORRIBLE SURGERY AND THEIR STAFF!

Service is appalling!!! Every time I call I'm on hold for at least 1 hour. So have to go round there. When you turn up there are always around 3 receptionists who appear to be doing nothing!!! Better off calling 111, they respon d quicker.

Update after today's interaction 14.06.2023: Please enable 0 star review. It's so much needed for this GP branch. The people working there must be punished somehow elsewhere. Their attitude is just appalling. Puts you off to go to the doctor's. I have gone through many GPs in the last 15 years as I was constantly changing location. This is officially the worst GP in UK. I don't think there is worse than that. I will try to get a spot somewhere else. I don't want to talk with those people anymore. Unhelpful incompetent admin. They tell you they call you but never do. Probably forgot. When I called she was making excuses. If I didn't call noone would get in touch. Disgraceful service. If you sick you will get sicker from only having to talk to them. I don't know the doctors as have not had a chance to see one when I was ill. I would leave no starts at all but it doesn't allow to post this review. I will place formal complain further.

1 star is way to much for their service which is horendous. The reception staff are always rude and cold to you after picking up with about 2 hours delay. You have to tell them that you or your kid, are dieing in pains so you can get an appointment with a medic. If you need a repeat prescription they always decline it on the reason that you have to come for heartbeats measurments...and they book you in after 2 weeks - 1month for that. So if you care for your health and your loved ones and/or if you depend on a treatment prescription, that normaly they MUST help you with, you rather change this pseudoGP location with a better and more receptive one as I am going to do ASAP.

It's a tragedy to get through, I waited over an hour. the doctors had already led me to inflammation once according to them I still had the virus until I had to call an ambulance and it turned out that I had pneumonia. they underestimate coughing attacks, despite the fact that it quickly turns into pneumonia for me. they will tell you that such a cough is nothing.

Awful, rude, unpleasant, condescending, arrogant and patronising with no respect for their patients, especially the elderly. Avoid them. Their only interest is in the money they get from the public purse, while not delivering the service they are paid for. If any High St business did that the directors would be jailed for fraud.

They ghosted their patients during lockdown, and un-prescribed an important medication for purely financial reasons (the doctor insisted it was over-the-counter despite it not being over-the-counter)

Bye far the worst gp surgery there is, you can be on the phone all day and they will not pick up, I am currently caller number 1 on the phone for the last 45 minutes and still no one has picked up, really shocked that nothing is being done about this, why are the stsff lazy and incompetent of the job they have been asked to do, everyone else I speak to has had the same experience, if the lazy staff members don't want to pick up the phones then don't work there, the whole surgery has an I don't care attitude, something needs to be done, I for one will be filling a complaint.

I've been with this surgery for about a year now and it's just horribly inconsistent. Previously gave 2-stars but changing to 1. The patient experience is awful, the level of care is subpar, things that you are told will happen don't happen, you try to follow up and you are ignored, they ping pong you around to their different sites (which stopped after my first review), and careless mistakes that made it difficult to fill prescriptions.

Absolute waste of time!!!!! Not seeing patients 3 years after COVID?????? Why then are they being paid to see patients????? Was told my diabetes was gone and ended up in A&E after stopping the meds they said I no longer needed!!! Do yourself a favour, see a vet instead,!!!!!

I am sat at the surgery waiting for my appointment when a PTS driver brought someone in with blood dripping from a hand wound and she took the person to where he was supposed to be but left the blood on the floor and didn’t come back to clean it up I told the receipt that the blood was still on the floor and both the people behind the counter came out and cleaned it up I would like to say thank you to both of them I have read some of the reviews and to say that I am really upset with what has been said about this practice I have been with this practice for about six years and never had any problems with them from the reception doctors and nurses are absolutely fantastic to talk to and really polite to talk to nobody has asked me to say anything but I really would recommend this practice to anyone

Every single practitioner I've encountered here have been nothing but kind, personable and comforting during my visit. Josh Young and Rachel Miller in particular are absolutely fantastic. A special thank you to Rachel for making my experience at the practice so easy and for making me feel entirely safe and comfortable during my time there.

I don’t have any problems with hospital, but worker in the reception incompetent . I had appointment with my doctor today 12.09.2022 at 12:50 and came 10 minutes earlier to the reception to inform that I’m here , but lady on the reception told me that I have to go home because my appointment will be via call , not face to face, so I went..and guess what , after 20min I got sms that I missed my appointment! Incompetent worker in the reception just waisted my time and my doctor time .

Absolutely shocking surgery. Wait hours on the phone for no one to pick up. Don’t remember to issue prescriptions straight after an appointment, have to chase to have prescriptions given on repeat as they should be. I’ve been waiting 3 months for new inhalers (not like breathing is important in todays current climate) Have to chase to get new medicine that hospital doctors have written to them about saying you need (they don’t respond). Still waiting on full blood results from AUGUST. Been let down every time by these guys. Disgusting service. If you need actual medical treatment don’t expect anything from them. Have had to report to medical obudsman.

If your considering trying this GP surgery for any condition you are suffering from please refrain for your own safety & time. This practiced is not equipped with any support or help for Southampton citizen's. As quoted from a "professional" doctor from Nicholstown Surgery explained after a 5 week e-consult wait stating: "If paracetamol or our NSAIDS aren't working then how can we solve your problem, furthermore if your suffering chronic pain call A&E". These are absolute slackers and deserve far less than front line nurses or cleaners.

Honestly this surgery shouldn't even be running at this rate this is the worst GP Surgery in the whole of UK I wish I could give this surgery a 0 star rating because that's what they deserve. Since all restrictions have been lifted I experienced doctors and nurses haven't been putting the same effort in as before. Doctors are asking stupid questions and are not much help especially rubbish when it comes to women health as everything for them is about your weight and deluded thoughts. On top of all this the receptionist are so rude and just put the phone down while your talking. Not to mention how this GP Surgery just cancels your appointment last minute which you've waited a long time for and had to literally go back and forth to just get it booked. I strongly believe that this surgery will eventually or have already been the reason for the death of some patients I tried ordered my reliever blue inhaler as my asthma has been so bad lately and the receptionist said its not on your repeat because people over use this medication but that's okay because of this reason you also won't be entitled to a medication that could potentially save your life during an asthma attack while you wait for an ambulance to arrive if you need it. Just seems receptionist loves to twist word and put them down as aggression towards them and then when you call again and different receptionist picks up they start off nice but after your details are brought up they see this note about you being aggressive to the receptionist automatically they change and become more rude and horrible to you treating you like your not even human but if we speak the same way to them as they do to us it's now aggressive how funny when the table turns. Such a rubbish and rude surgery.

Absolutely shocking. Their system to book appointments is terrible with no real concern about people's health or welfare. It is just a way to make money for them. The GPS are uninformed and lack medical expertise in certain conditions without giving proper direction to people who can help. I would give zero stars if I could.

I have type one diabetes and I called up to get an emergency prescription to get a new sensor as mine had broken was told by a woman in the prescription team to go to the company website that makes them when I had asked for an emergency prescription as I had no way to do my blood sugar then to find out it takes 3 days for them to send them from the website so I phone back understandably annoyed and the receptionist sends me to the prescription team again and first of all they hand up the call when I am in the line then I call again! And I get the same woman as last time this time I explain I could end up in hospital and I can’t wait 3 days to check my bloods and she doesn’t say oh sorry about that I didn’t know she says that’s what the manager says to do no apology nothing bad attitude about it this surgery is dangerous and needs to be investigated the staff cannot do the job if I had any other option to get my prescription from I would have they were the last resort
