Scheduled
this
place
two
years
ago
but
relinquished
my
booking
due
to
Sweden's
strategy
around
covid.
Glad
to
have
crossed
this
off
my
list,
but
based
on
the
current
flavour
profiling,
once
is
enough
for
me.
The
venue
itself
is
super
cosy
and
only
seats
a
scarce
few
tables.
There's
no-
sign
branding.
I
can
see
why
the
exclusivity
might
be
part
of
the
appeal
to
return
patrons,
but
it
can
be
also
argued
that
the
place
is
so
well
known
the
exclusivity
is
not
in
knowing
about
the
place
but
getting
a
booking.
Not
too
difficult
if
you
book
a
few
weeks
in
advance.
Ordered
two
starters,
a
veal
tartelet
and
tuna
tartare;
a
main,
entrecote;
and
a
dessert,
raspberry
sorbet.
And
was
mildly
disappointed?
The
sourdough's
nutty
butter
and
tartlette
were
probably
the
menu's
highlights.
This
was
still,
by
all
accounts,
great
value-
great
presentation-
and
great
concept.
But
each
of
the
dishes
was
a
little
too
imbalanced,
and
all
elements
of
each
dish
almost
too
strong
that
it
became
strangely
acidic.
Sweden
is
perhaps
(colloquially)
well
known
for
tasteless,
bland
food.
I
feel
like
they
really
tried
to
be
anything
but
this,
and
in
that
process,
overcompensated.
Having
said
that,
dishes
here
are
certainly
better
than
the
standard
culinary
experience
Stockholm
has
to
offer,
but
on
the
palate,
it
still
missed
the
mark.
The
raspberry
sorbet
was
more
reminiscent
of
gelati,
but
decent
flavour
profile
overall.
Good
acidity
and
freshness,
with
a
nice
creamy
kick.
The
pinot
noir
stood
out
better
than
all
the
dishes,
great
versatility
across
the
different
proteins,
soft
and
juicy,
like
strawberry
and
red
fruit
flavoured
wine.
Nommy!
The
service
from
the
waiting
staff
was
great
though,
if
I
ever
return
to
give
this
another
go,
it'll
be
because
of
the
them.
