This place is also one of the oldest building in Stockholm. This building has been recently remodelled. This is available for public to watch live play. This is an opera theatre where various performance is made. You have to book tickets for entering the opera hall. The plays will occur regularly. The opera hall will be like the ones you can see in the cinemas.Must visit this place if you are fond of interiors.

This place is beautiful inside, the theater have good sound and the seats are comfortable. We saw La Boite A Joujoux Carmen ballet and it was so pretty, the styling, the scenario, the music and outstanding dance play it was completely worth it. In the pause it’s possible to reserve a table and buy things in advance so you don’t have to queue and you can enjoy more time so I really recommend that option, I ordered a pastrami sandwich and it was really good.

A most amazing concert hall, a lot of history and beauty. The production of Aida was simply outstanding. It was very well attended too.

We had front row tickets so we had amazing view of certain things and slightly obstructed view when the stage went up higher than our line of sight. Why only 4 stars? I wish the film part of the show was subtitled but seriously Ekman’s Eskapist was so mad and chaotic and deep and moving that it didn’t matter!

This is the Royal Opera House.  A building with over 250 years, one of Sweden's leading cultural institutions. Incredibly beautiful building. My very first visit here! We saw the "Nutcracker" ballet which was absolutely outstanding!  I got a taste for it so there will be more visits. Will definitely be more visits!

I've been to Die Zauberflote opera here. The opera is translated in Swedish, which I didn't like that much. The production is really very innovative and modern. The singing and the orchestra were really good. And the opera building itself is quite beautiful.

Had the pleasure to watch Sweeny Todd at the opera. It was a fantastic experience with a great orchestra and actors. Only thing I would have liked more is some legroom. It was tight, but not uncomfortable. And even though we were high up sound and sight carried well.

The building is beautiful. I had champagne with friends during intermission and it couldn't have been more enjoyable. Be aware that if you are an English only speaker subtitles are only provided in Swedish.

What a beautiful building! Lived here for so many years so was really time for a visit. If you are here for a show, be sure to preorder drinks and snacks for the intermission break.

This opera house is well maintained. Our evening was well organised and the seating was comfortable. However, it could do with some air-conditioning seeing some people, including myself, did get hot at times.

A beautiful building and a place to enjoy culture. If you buy a ticket for seats on the 3rd floor, be prepared for the Ryan Air experience. Your leg space is so little that your legs may cramp and your back may hurt. Unforgettable experience!

We went to our first opera performance, "The barberer of Seville" and got hooked. Absolutely stunning performance in a space that just breaths culture through out the history. Just the building itself is worth a visit with its amazing 250 year old architecture. But I highly recommend this specific performance, it's funny, captivating and well performed. It even had Swedish subtitles being displayed above the stage, which was a welcome surprise since I don't speak Italian. I never imagined I'd like it as much as I did! Pro tip; if you're on the 3rd level, bring something to sitt on, the chairs are quite uncomfortable!

The Royal Swedish Opera building is elegant and you can feel its age and history just by waking in. We attended the ballet “Manon” which I found captivating exquisite. The entire show, ballet and orchestra, seamlessly took is through the riveting life story of Manon. I recommended the Opera building and ballet.

Opera "Madame Butterfly". It was a while, since I visited a Opera. I followed a invitation of some friends, to follow them to the "Royal Swidish Opera" in Stockholm. It was a very nice experience.

Never by a tickets number from 700 and so. It's on the side of the balcony. You would be with pain in your neck, but see nothing at performance.

(Translated by Google) Nice building and beautiful interiors, to my taste. Have visited a number of times. Latest: opera "Candide" + Different and interesting visual experience. Good philosophy in the end. Beautiful voices: Elin Rombo & Joel Annmo. - The story thread was chaotic, a lot of weirdness with "intercourse" like scenes. I understand that they are trying to attract a new audience but it is starting to resemble Cirque du Soleil (not the Royal Opera).

The New Year's Eve concert, a tradition at the Royal Swedish Opera, is not worth what you pay for the ticket!! There is too much talking and interviewing the management, the C.E.O and such, on stage, which takes away from the music and performances that we wanted to see and experience on New Year's Eve. The concert was also very short which was disappointing. And not so many songs with the experienced and talented singers of the Swedish Royal Opera, only around half or less of the whole concert, which was also performed by opera students. The tickets are too expensive and don't reflect the quality of the show.

The ballet was impressive as well as the opera building itself. However if you expect classical ballet be careful with your choice. We’ve watched Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky, and they also added there a couple of Tchaikovsky famous pieces (like his piano concerto) and skipped some pieces from the original ballet.

Majestic place. Wonderful experience. Everything costs extra here like a movie theatre. Even keeping a bag at the counter, or a brochure about the show. The ambiance was perfect. Most seats don't allow for a great view though. So consult an expert to get the right seats.

Watching a ballet here was amazing. It was really interesting and with fantastic accompanying music. When some in the audience was disturbing the host calmly walked in and told them. Problem being tat when he was away they started again. Anyway! Recommend the experience!

A beautiful, old-style opera hall. Ornate and grandiose, it really adds to the occasion. Regrettably the ballet I attended was cut short by an unfortunate injury to the lead dancer after about 20 minutes - I hope she makes a full recovery.

If you want to have an opera experience on budget, you can buy listening seat tickets.. this gives a partial view of the stage. During the intermission can walk ard to other floors and take photos. Take note that the whole program will be swedish including the subtitles. The sound in the hall is amazing and the architecture was beautiful. Worth going! Can check out their website, there are cheaper tickets for those aged 26 and below! Book early and be there early for your program.

Went to see La Bohème. It had Swedish subtitles. My Italian and Swedish is pretty rusty, and the fact that they changed it to be in Stockholm instead of Paris, and renamed the characters meant it made the play a little hard to follow. But it was still good! Lovely building too.

There are at least 3 good bars situated at the Opera house, with a great view of the canal and Palace. Lots of tourist buses but also well dressed locals. Good age group for us as well, with a lovely little park and the Grand Hotel closeby.

Beautiful old building, with much charm and enough modernization to work well today. Great orchestra, and just about outstanding opera ensemble! It's not cheap, but also not too bad, and it is worth the money. The inside gets rather toasty when the room is sold out though.

It was an incredibly unique dining experience with a lot of entertainment. Lots of different types of singing and dancing and the audience was actively made a part of the performance. It was a very interesting experience with nice food as well to go with the performances.

Beautiful setting for the best Opera in Sweden. The fact that the opera house if from another age also adds to its character and the overall atmosphere of the visit. Short suggestion: book drinks for the pause, otherwise there is a good chance you'll spend the pause waiting to buy a drink and only drink it in 5 minutes before the bells.

Didn’t actually see a performance here but was fully able to walk through a large area of the opera house. Really nice with lots of cool items on display including full costumes and props. There is also a cafe on the roof. Hopefully will be back to see a performance.

5 star experience in center of Stockholm! We got tickets to see a modern ballet performance. The opera is very atmospheric, feels like time stopped 100 years ago. The foyer and other areas of the building are very nice and so is the main hall. Seats are quite comfortable but viewing is not very good from side balconies. Anyway, it was a great experience!
