I really enjoyed the stay at Clarion Hotel, super friendly staff and really nice and clean rooms. I honestly love the location the most as it is so close to Stockholm central and everything is near by. They also have an amazing gym as well which helped with workouts, breakfast was superb and something which I looked forward to every morning. Would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting Stockholm to stay at the Clarion Hotel Amaranten

Worst resturant for a hotel i've experienced. Food and drink is ordered via the phone. Then the staff goes around to every table with the food and ask the quests if they have ordered it. The portions was very small but expensive. When my friends didnt get their food in over 40 min they had to question the staff where their order went. They had lost the ordered and started cooking the food after 40 min of waiting.

Quite nice, a bit old layout with long hallways and a bit small rooms. Everything was fresh and neat though. The breakfast was 5-star, the omelette and cooking station in the middle of it all was genius. The reception was well staffed and polite. I recommend this hotel for a weekend in Stockholm. Both by quality but also for the location, easy to go by public transport with the metro just outside the door to the right, and buses to the left. The Central station is close by as well, just a 20 min walk.

Even though it's raining outside it's like sunshine inside. The staff is so helpful even though the hotel is full. The breakfast menu is incredible and the bartenders knowledgeable in the latest drinks. Nice selection of draft beers and the bartenders are familiar with the different characteristics of the beer and wine they serve.

It was the worst hotel I have stayed in my life. Staff was terrible, rooms are very small. We went as a family, but they only made a double bed and a sofa bed for us. While it was written on the page of the hotel that it had a balcony, a hair dryer, etc., we had nothing. We asked them to clean the room but they didn't clean it on the first day. When they came the other day, they only made the bed. I would do as much. We slept in dirty beds for 5 days. It was very terrible. I definitely do not recommend.

Top class hotel and great Value for money. Superb, large seating area for bar and breakfast with an excellent selection for a full, cooked breakfast as well as healthy options. The evening is also busy with the trendy cocktail bar, with a great selection of drinks. Rooms are quiet & clean and there is an area for self-service, free tea and hot water. Friendly staff - we'll be back!!!

If possible, avoid the bar if other options is available. We waited more than 15 minutes in a semi-empty bar and wasn't catered until we raised our voice. The bartender served several others, but didn't see us. Otherwise the hotel is very nice.

Really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Our room was tiny but we were staying only for one night so it wasn’t a big issue for us. Everything in room and bathroom was well cleaned and also we really liked the breakfast - many options if you have a plant based diet. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was that we did not have a small kettle in the room, I think it should be a standard in 4* hotels. Also we had a issue with our TV - it didn’t work properly.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. It made my stay in Stockholm wonderful and comfortable. The service was excellent, and the people were very friendly and charismatic, especially Mrs. Arlyn Viliarta. The food was delicious, and the rooms were very comfortable with excellent views. The next time I come back to Stockholm, without a doubt, this will be my trusted hotel♥️

The rooms need refurbishment! The shower tap was almost stuck, it was water leakage behind the toilet and panels in the room seems to be falling down any time. And this was an expensive room on the executive floor! I have not used any of the other facilities at the hotell except the breakfast. The hotel was full, and the eating area does not seem to be sized for this situation, even though we were given time slots for breakfast. Quite crowded. Staff were nice and helpfull. Beds were and cleanliness were ok. Compared to other hotels and the price, my overall score is somewhere between 2 and 3.

The staff at the Clarion Hotel are incredibly friendly, approachable and accommodating. You can approach anyone working in the hotel and they are happy to help. For example, a staff member helped translate Swedish in order for us to book an appointment and another staff member called a tour guide service for us to clarify our questions in Swedish. Further, we had to leave before the breakfast times in order to catch a flight and the staff set aside a small breakfast for us to pack up or eat at the hotel. Which, by the way, the breakfast at the Clarion Hotel is the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. There is a large assortment of waffles, fresh fruit, bread, omelettes, bacon, yogurt/granola etc. We loved our stay at the Clarion Hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Very nice and helpful Service at the desk and Service at breakfast. Room was nice and comfy (they need a little bit of a refreshment). Breakfast was delicious, a lot things to pick. Near the hotel we got metro station, cafe’s and park and big plus - hop on and hop off stop. If You like walking, You got about 25 minutes to Gamla Stan. One thing was not good - so I got this hotel 4 stars instead of 5. Room after cleaning was not clean, there were No enough towels and our card was taken 2 times from power switch - I raised my concern at reception cause maybe I lost it, but I tested it the next day - the same situation. Reception changed our cards and I was calm about it. At the end I can Tell that I recommend this hotel ;) not everything is perfect and our stay was very nice :)

Went back her after several years. Was disappointed that now the no longer have room service and food is not served after 9.30pm. They also now charge 200 sek plus for slippers which are free in all the hotels i have been. Putting all this to one side, the hotels is need of refurbishment especially the current gym area. The sauna is great and so is the bar staff. The breakfast is the best part of the hotel and the staff who make the omelette are friendly.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough, ideally situated next door to the Underground and only one stop away from the city centre. The hotel is very well presented and has wonderful rooms with all you could need for a city break. The Breakfast is beyond comparison to any other hotel offering I have experienced, absolutely phenomenal, just a really very good start to the day! A brilliant stay - we will be back!

The hotel exceeded expectations with its clean and spacious rooms, attentive staff, and a variety of amenities. The on-site restaurant offered delicious options, and the central location made it convenient for exploring the city. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Unfortunately quite a disappointing experience. The room felt old and small, yet the bathroom was nice. The breakfast was a chaotic experience with too many people even though we went during an early slot on a Saturday. Elevators felt unsafe and old. Lastly, housekeeping entered our room at 7 in the morning because they thought we had checked out even though we had a “do not disturb” sign outside the door. Unfortunately not good value for the money. Feels like the hotel need to pick either to be luxurious (and improve) or become a budget hotel.

The stay was lovely. A room is good equipped. It has everything that’s necessary. I enjoyed boutique experience as well. The breakfast was varied and very delicious. The location is also great. The hotel is close to different city attractions and subway station.

Kann die negativen Rezensionen nicht verstehen. Hier stimmt Preis/Leistung.

Beautiful hotel located close to Stockholm central station. +Great location, a lot of things are close by +Nice and attentive staff +Small yet spacious rooms with a lot of sunlight +Very fast wifi -If you don’t like to be constantly surrounded by big crowds of people like me, this hotel isn’t for you. The breakfast area felt like a train station in Mumbai or Tokyo. People were all over the place and it was quite crammed, never seen this before in a hotel and I stayed in quite a few. Same goes for the reception area and elevators during peak times… people everywhere. Apparently its due to a construction within the hotel.

The hotell was all in all very good. The issiues we had they adressed with a service attitude (thanks Nelly). The rooms are small. We had two rooms and one of them litterally only fit the bed and a bathroom, so if you expext to be able to turn around in your room dont go for the cheapest, they're still nice, but tiny. The picture is of our "large" room. The entire hotell was very clean. The breakfast was extensive. Anything the average European wants. The only thing they didn't have was oddly fried eggs, only bouled and scrambled. Really great breakfast. Easy to find seating even in the busy period. The location is a flat 10 minutes walk from the train station, no problem at all. Its in a calm neighbourhood right outside the centrum of thing, just perfect if you too like it quiet and safe. Literally on top of subway station Radhuset. Did not try dinner or any other function of the hotel. Nice touch is that the cleaning staff says hi to you. Even when I forgot to put up the dont disturb sign and poor lady walked in on me sitting on the big with my earbuds in. I'd defenitely recommend it at the price.

Excellent location within 10 min walk of central station, and metro stop just below hotel. Staff really friendly and amazing breakfast with so much to choose from (just gets very busy on the weekends). Rooms well kept with nice bathrooms that have the best showers with great pressure. Would stay again!

Tiny tiny supertiny room. No kettle or coffee machine in room. You can have a coffee downstairs but you are not going to do so when you are in your pyjamas are you. Double bed but single duvets! Breakfast ok, would have liked more variety of cheese Second night of my stat they worked on the roars drilling during the night! Not the hotel's fault, bit really Stockholm, why at night?

The hotel and rooms are very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good and full of variety. Cocktails at the bar are very delicious. The location of the hotel is very good, around ten minutes walk from most of the attractions and also there is a metro station right next to it.

Probably one of the worst Clarion's I have started at which is disappointing. Reception team were great very helpful and polite. Room was poor dirty and tired. Public spaces and corridors smelt of damp and foist. Room was very dirty and the sheets were stained. Mattress was badly stained. Breakfast... Wow. Was like a raid by a plague of locus on field of crops. People as in guests attitudes were disgraceful, like the world was running out of food, grabbing, taking, pushing no manners never seen anything like it utter disgrace.

Nice rooms, clean, near to city center and very close to town hall. Really great/excellent breakfast it would be a mistake not to visit. Great choices, very tasty, extremely nice stuff at the reception and in breakfast area. Very professional.

Smaller room than we expected, even by Stockholm standards, but clean and a decent view. Good location, away from the crowds, but right next to the train station and close to the bus routes, or a quick 15 minute walk to the Old Town.

Perfect Location, friendly staffs, Rooms felt a little outdated BUT the Bathroom was recently redone and made up for any other disadvantages the room might have had. The Hotel is currently redoing their main entrance but there was no inconvenience we noticed during our stay.

Booked and payed extra for 22m2 superior-room with a sofa. Got a small room with no sofa. Room was very worn out and runned down. Told reception about the misstake and they wouldn’t do anything for us. What is good is the location and generous breakfast times.

  • 3/5 Christian P. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is located only 10 min walk from Stockholm Central Station. The hotel is a bit older than other Clarion Hotels, which can be seen and you hear a lot of noise from the street. The metro is just around the corner, which is nice. The service staff is also nice and helpful. The biggest complaint we have is the restaurant, which is not minded for families with kids. The kitchen is outrageous slow, and we waited over one hour for our food and then another 20 min just to get a cold dessert. The head waitress was though very helpful and gave us a discount on behalf of the long waiting time. This was really appreciated.

  • 4/5 Nuno D. 1 year ago on Google
Don't like the carpets on the corridors. Not too clean. Loved the breakfast (very good and wide variety of bread/food) and the location is quite good, very near the center. Just a few minutes away. Rooms quite alright.

A well located hotel with great breakfast and a good bar. The lady at the counter saved my life when I wanted to check in after my over-night-ferry from Tallinn. She made it possible to enter my room a little bit earlier. Thank you so much! That day, you were the most important woman in my life, Mrs. F. :) My room was quite small but comfortable and cosy. The bathroom was equipped with high-end shower gel and shampoo. Very cool. The only thing to complain: the independent parking + the charge for my electric vehicle was expensive. The most expensive one in over two weeks of roadtripping. Why not 4 stars? Cause this is something you can expect in the middle of the city. Positive thing: there is a great supermarket just across the street.

  • 4/5 Alireza H. 2 years ago on Google
The breakfast was good. Location was close to city center and half an hour walk to old town. Nice restaurants nearby the hotel.

  • 4/5 Harry N. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent breakfast - e.g. omelettes on request and self-made pancakes available! Everything was clean and well organized. The room was cozy, but the age of the hotel showed, especially in the bathroom surfaces (it was very clean, though!). Unfortunstely had some issues with a dog waking us up at 6 a.m. on the floor above, when the owner apparently left the room. The reception noted us later that it was a dog friendly hotel.

Nice stay there for 5 nights, well located close to most of the places to see in Stockholm, great welcome and people always ready to help you, good breakfast with large choice as buffet, rooms are good quality, good place 👍

I came here looking for a place to kick start my day with breakfast and a space to work with my laptop. My friend and I were welcomed by the receptionist Alex who was very service-minded. He picked a table for us and showed us the breakfast buffet. There was a very charismatic and happy cook called Juan who was of great help for us and kind. Overall everyone working at the restaurant were smiling and really making the best to keep the mood high! What a beautiful start of the day :)

Very good hotel with a ton of amenities. We traveled as 3 friends and got a family room which was very nice and very spacious with two bathrooms and two beds. The breakfast at the hotel was very nice sporting a ton of different foods so everyone can find something they want. The breakfast buffet was very busy though so it was required to book a time to eat beforehand, important to note. I did not use the Hotel restaurant or bar during our stay. The Hotel is right next to a subway station where you can take the blue train for one stop to be in the center of Stockholm which we did while traveling around. Very convenient placement if you want to branch out while in the city to explore.

Great hotel. Most importantly everything was clean. Location for a weekend trip to Stockholm is perfect with the metro right outside and within the lime scooter area. Staff friendly. Sauna and gym facilities available. Hotel ambient temp was a bit too hot all the time with no control over individual AC. Overall great stay.

  • 4/5 Max E. 1 year ago on Google
Nice hotel, but nothing special in my eyes. The rooms are okay, clean but basic. No tea/coffee or water in the room and our internal phone to reception was broken. Reception was always too busy to speak to. Summary: it's okay but don't expect the hotel to surpass expectations.

  • 5/5 Erik N. 1 year ago on Google
I had a great stay at Amaranten. It's really close to the central station, so it was a breeze getting there. The rooms were nice with really comfy beds, and the breakfast was yummy. My only complaint would be that the sauna is only open between 17-23, and I didn't see that being mentioned on the website.

  • 4/5 KorporalenM 11 months ago on Google
Welcoming and service minded staff made this a 4 star visit. The hotel is under maintanance as of writing this, and this is visible at some of the rooms. Either in need of refurbishing, or poorly finished. The hotel would gain alot from having better control over the rooms status. Breakfast is chaotic, and in need of better area planning, to avoid queues going all directions. The food was good, with a lot of fresh options, and good alternatives for all tastes. Good beds for tall people. Would visit again.

This hotel always meets my expectations for a super nice hotel in the heart of Stockholm It's located at a walking distance to everything from city center to central Station to old Town and also access to a super near by metro station. Very nice breakfast buffet and access to 24 hrs coffee and tea. Highly recommended

A busy hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. We were happy with the location with a subway station in the same block, and bus stop and a convenience store across the street. The rooms were lovely, clean, and big enough.

  • 2/5 Björn N. 1 year ago on Google
Nice breakfast. Somewhat noisy lobby, but pleasant staff. The room, however, was a size-wise joke, triumphed only by the smallest double bed (140cm) squeezed against the wall. If you're able to fit two persons in it, one will have to climb over the other to get out of it. Also take care when you get out of bed to use the bathroom, there's a fifty/fifty chance you end up in the corridor :)

Pretends to be a trendy place, but rooms are dated and not well cleaned (dust balls). Not good value for money. Service in the cocktail bar located in the hotel is poor with unfriendly staff. Hotel is currently undergoing renovation, hope that has a positive impact on bar staff as well.

Room is nice. The bed is comfy and I like the oversized pillows but the room temperature was a bit too cold for my taste. I tried to change the temperature but it always changed back to 21C.

Gorgeous hotel amazing decor and very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location for walking around d Stockholm as everything is so central to the hotel. Definitely coming back to this hotel

The Clarion Hotel Amaranten is located in central Stockholm, just 8 minutes' walk from the central station, meaning you'll be ideally situated to explore the city. Guests can enjoy unique, modern design inspired by the 1960s, as well as great dining facilities, a gym, relaxation area and more! Local vibes in central Stockholm!

Great location and breakfast! Very friendly staff and accommodating. Room nice, bed very comfortable. The only negative point, I left some clothing on the bed before the housekeeping team cleaned the room and ended up on the floor (not very nice).

  • 3/5 Katja V. 11 months ago on Google
Spacious room with good bed. Coffee maker and water kettle. I asked for a bathtub, which I got. However the bathtub and the bathroom was somewhat difficult to operate, especially with a small kid. Room and the lobby was comfortable and nicely decorated. However there was a strong “house scent” which gave me a headache. Also there was hassle with dinner booking, and the staff could not give advice on any matter I asked. Breakfast was good. Location is fairly good.

Yes been here a few times. Its not the most central place, or are the rooms palatial. But I like it. I feel its the right balance if cost v quality. I like the bar. Breakfast is great and the rooms are fine. Best if all there is a metro station right next door, so great for exploring, or too and from the station.
