the hotel was very clean and beautiful. I am very happy with this service well designed down to the detail! Lots of extra features to promote an active and sustainable lifestyle, such as table tennis on each floor and a free trial at the climbing center next door. The breakfast was one of the best ones I've ever seen and it was open until 12

+ The room was nice and comfy. - The fact that we couldn't go to the pool. Apparently you have to book it in advance, which we weren't told during check-in. Not that it would have mattered, as the staff in the pool area told us it was booked for the next 4 days. So even though the pool is advertised, it may not really be available, something that never happened at any hotel I've visited until now. Maybe they should reconsider the ridiculous 5 hours per day operating program of the pool if there is no room for guests to visit it.

I recently stayed at Downtown Camper by Scandic, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel's central location made it a great choice for exploring Stockholm, and the standout feature was the amazing wellness space, "The Nest," located atop the hotel, with its heated outdoor pool offering stunning views of the Stockholm skyline. The staff was exceptional, always ready to assist and make the stay enjoyable. The variety of activities available on-site added to the overall appeal, and the breakfast options were truly amazing. However, there were a few downsides. The rooms tended to get chilly, and we had to request a heater to make them more comfortable. Also, the hotel was consistently busy, with many outsiders using it as a networking and working space, which could make it a bit noisy for those seeking a quieter stay. In summary, Downtown Camper by Scandic is a great choice for those who want a central location, a top-notch wellness space, and a lively atmosphere. Just be prepared for the potential for a bit of noise and a need to manage room temperature.

This hotel has the best customer service I have experienced at a hotel. We stayed here for a few nights while we were in town, and we’re so happy that we decided to stay here again when we ended up back in Stockholm. The rooms were modern and very clean. Breakfast is well worth it. Even as a vegan, there were a ton of options. We would definitely make this our first choice next time we are in Stockholm.

The rooms and the hotel are very nice. The breakfast is also amazing, with a huge variety, and it’s open until 12. The only reason I didn’t give 5 start rating is the fact that our room had a problem with the lock and we needed to change it, together with all our stuff, one night before we left. And this is not a problem to me, but we were promised a compensation for this, which we did not receive. Also, the new room was a bit cold

Would recommend & come back. Modern hotel with a lot to offer. Clean & cozy rooms, and a nice common area. Would give five stars if they had more plant-based options at the breakfast buffet. The vegan offering currently still feels a bit like an afterthought. The wellness area at the rooftop is expensive (>30€), but I would say it's worth it.

The spaciousness of the room provided a comfortable retreat; however, it was regrettable that our accommodation was situated on level 1, depriving us of the desired city view. Despite this minor setback, the room exuded a sense of relaxation and tranquility. On a different note, there was a slight issue with the bathroom as it emitted a faint damp smell, which slightly impacted our overall experience. Nevertheless, the ample space and the overall ambiance made our stay enjoyable, despite the room's location and the minor inconvenience with the toilet.

Great place with fantastic rooftop bar & spa. Only complaint is the staff. Front-desk/reception staff might have been a couple of the most boring servicepeople I’ve ever encountered. Talking quietly, seemingly uninterested, and no smiles. Restaurant staff didn’t speak the local language which felt a bit awkward. Room was cozy and stylish. Kind of a hard bed/mattrass though, but overall well kept and nice.

We had the best experience at this hotel! Our room was great and had a fantastic view. We looked forward to going back every day after touring the city- it felt like home away from home. It was so good that we didn’t want to leave. It is within very short walking distance to the old city. Staff are amazing, always happy to help and with a smile on. The breakfast was incredible! Every day I wished I had more room in my belly for all the delicious looking food 😃 The hotel itself is very well designed, the dark tones feel very calming and inviting, very cosy. We will be back for sure! Thank you for a great stay!

Really enjoyed our six night stay. We booked a room described as a spacious double which was great, a good size with nice seating area and coffee table, plus window seat. This hotel has a very "mountain lodge" sort of feel and is not pompous like some hotels. It has an extensive, help yourself, buffet breakfast which we were pleased to have booked inclusive. It's location was excellent especially for a first visit to Stockholm being close to the "T" metro system buses and the useful no 7 tram. Old town was just one stop away on the metro. The staff were welcoming and friendly at all times. The hotel had a very relaxed "vibe". Definitely would stay again on any next visit and as a travel agent would not hesitate in recommending to others. Great housekeeping staff also and plenty of staff keeping the buffet fully refreshed at all times at breakfast. Thank you Downtown Camper staff you run a great hotel. (Room 527)

Nice, clean rooms with unique decor. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful when we had an issue with our travel agent/prepaid room. Breakfast was delicious, so many options! In walking distance of many shops and restaurants and an easy pickup for Uber. Highly recommend.

Way to overpriced, breakfast is nothing special from other Scandic, but you have to pay for it. Rooms are very small, decor is god. The hotel is good, but not for the price - then you get much better hotels in Stockholm

Nice and modern hotel. Well managed. Location in the center of town allows for easy exploration of the city by foot or with public transport. Room with view to the street was nice and spacious. "Color Theme" is a bit dark but not to our dismiss. Very nice rooftop bar!

  • 4/5 James 8 months ago on Google
I enjoyed the design of the hotel and it’s creative design choices in the rooms to do more with simple furnishings and clever uses of materials. The rooftop is nice but you have to pay extra for the pool and the lounge stops serving drinks at 7pm so no enjoying the sunset with a drink for you. The hotel is quite noisy the main entry doors to the rooms do little to block any noise into the rooms and the AC does not properly cool the room. Overall the price point probably matches the offering.

Really nice hotel with cozy room! Lot of facilities around the hotel. Perfect location, super central, perfect for go explore the city. Heated pool as to be booked in advance if you want to go. Awesome rooftop 😇 Amazing breakfast buffet, lot of different stuff.

Perhaps my expectations were too high? For $200/night I expected to have enough towels in the room for all guests. We also were not supplied robes or shoes for the spa, had to get them up there and change out of our street clothes. Spa shoes were only small or medium which didn't really work with my size 48 feet. I appreciate the commitment to ecofriendliness, but the climate control will not allow for anything below 20.5c which made for a very hot room. Rooms are also very dark. It would be nice to have an option between blackout curtains and no curtains. I felt like we had very little privacy from the neighboring buildings. Water temp in the shower is all over the place and the floor is very slippery. I fell and hurt myself. Reception was very quick to bring the missing towels and also brought a fan which helped with the hot room. Bike rentals and other activities are a nice touch. Location is excellent. The spa is decent, but is just a sauna and the rooftop pool.

Really loved being there, nice rooms but the night service from the receptionist didn’t want to help and was a little hard to communicate with but every thing else was so great and the food there tasted so good 10/10 really recommended forgot to say but they also had a dog friendly hotel with water and dog snacks free right beside the reception and also a retro gaming room you could book time there for free really fun!! And adn also forgot to say they have a really cool reading space for with books and not so many people

Yeah this is one of the better, quite affordable hotels in Stockholm. The atmosphere in the lobby is great and offers many facilities for work and leisure. The breakfast is quite awesome and probably the best I've experienced so far in Stockholm. Rooms are clean and simple. Not overly decorated, unlike the rest of the hotel (tasteful though!). Will surely visit again. Recommend.

Absolutely wonderful stay. They serve the best breakfast I've experienced in my life. The coffee is amazing. Everyone is very kind and the location is great 👍

Newly appointed hotel with a modern feel - wellness activities, contemporary style. In the heart of the bustling city, with nice restaurants and cafes nearby. No issues at all. Reasonably priced

Fantastic hotel Resoanlably priced. Superb location. Stylish decor. Great size rooms and clean. Great size bed and comfortable. Will aim to stay again. Very kitch and hipster vibes but done well. Bathtubs are small and weirdly sloped. The power from the shower will mean you have to step on the plug which is raised and becomes a bit awkward.

I’ve been to this hotel a few times on business trips since its position is extremely convenient. The common areas (especially the rooftop) are beautiful and the rooms quite unique, but unfortunately since my last visit a few very basic needs are not met anymore, for example: the Wi-Fi is just terrible, barely working and it makes absolutely impossible to take a business virtual call.

  • 5/5 Andrea G. 2 months ago on Google ‱ 4 reviews New
I love the rooms here, particularly the reading nook (which also doubles as a yoga bed), and the bedside tables which were tree-trunks. The sustainability policy is excellent. The two bars, one on the ground floor and the other up in the nest, are designed beautifully - the drinks are pretty good too. And the breakfast spread is incomparable: so much and so delicious. Lastly, the staff are, without exception, helpful, courteous and welcoming. This is a 5-star place in every respect.

This is a really clean and modern hotel. Im.not marking it as highly as it deserves for the simple reason that its just not my taste. My fault as I booked it. Its got a vibe that younger trendier people seem to enjoy and I did see a few hipsters. I assume they were hipsters as they all had man buns, lumberjack shirts and converse boots. Staff are really nice and helpful . The bar area is very popular in the evening...especially Thursdays and Fridays. Saturdays are probably the same but I didn't stay on a Saturday. I prefer a more classic style of hotel but I'm sure anyone 18 _40 will enjoy it greatly....and overaged hipsters.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel, the hotel as a whole have a trendy vibe, very modern which I like it very much. We booked a Double Spacious Room with king bed, I am very satisfied with my room, I like it to have a day bed by the window which we could chill and looked at the view outside, our room was at 6/F & it overlooked the shopping mall / hotel across, it was nice & cosy by looking at the open space from the window, the room was spacious, the king bed was very comfortable, it has a bathtub in the bathroom which was a bonus, the bathroom has everything you need , shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, I usually wouldn’t use the shampoo and conditioner provided by the hotel but the one they provided here was with good quality and I was very happy to use them, and it was quite up to my standard. Having said all the things I like in this hotel, I didn’t give it a 5 stars rating but a 4 as the room was a bit dark, the breakfast though had a wide range of selection, their hot food section was quite limited with choice, and we had breakfast there for 2 days, both of the days were quite chaotic, the first day no staff was taking us to the table and a lot of tables were taken and some of them had used plates hadn’t been cleared. That was our unpleasant breakfast experience, while they had a nice rooftop cocktail bar, however both days we went were full of people and the window seats were reserved by the corporate customers, the first day we went in the evening, and the second day we tried to go there around 5pm in the afternoon, both occasions we couldn’t find a seat we liked as so many people were there, we were very disappointed. The spa is very expensive as well.

This hotel was everything and more. Super convenient and friendly staff, only thing holding it back were the rooms. It was hard to get ready in the room as lighting wasn’t great and then the bathroom didn’t have plugs
very minor but was a little frustrating. Decor was beautiful and the facilities too
we will be coming back!

My experience here was really amazing. Loved the room, view, location (just 3-4 mins walk to station, shopping streets). The breakfast was good too.

Downtown Camper benefits from a great location in the centre of Normalm, however some aspect grate. Wooden floors mean that we could hear the occupants next door playing with their toddler (at 11 pm!) and clomping around. At one stage we sat bolt upright in bed because it sounded like they were in the room with us!. Other than this, the rooms are spacious and of a 'funky' design. If you're a light sleeper, then you might enjoy another hotel with carpeted floors. Dining options were good, with a lovely bar and a good restaurant.

Good location right in downtown. Walking distance to the old city and shopping. Breakfast excellent. Very hip and urbane feel with some free activities like marshmallow roasting, running groups and such. The nest was pretty cool area to hang with a hot tub and a spa. Did not use it. You need to book it ahead. A little expensive rates/night. Staff OK with some very few exceptions. Young and a bit distant. Rooms a bit tight but quiet overall. Sockets are loose, remote needs new batteries-just little annoying stuff. The mattress on the bed does not stay. If you’re in your 30s and want to mingle you’d probably like it here. It’s a first for me staying with Scandic group hotel. I’m not too impressed. Really I would give this hotel a skip.

The hotel itself and the room was super nice, bed was comfy and staff was really helpful from the check-in to check-out đŸ€© They answered all of our questions patiently and took great care of us. Breakfast was AMAZING with great selections of different types of food and beverages. Only minus was the bathroom being a bit dirty and smelling like the sewer.

room was a bit smaller that expected, but very nice. Staff is really friendly and helpful. They have lots of cool events like a movie night. Gym is also available - not perfect, the heaviest KB is only 24 kg and the heaviest dumbbells only 20kg, but good enough to get a decent workout on vacation. They have a concept 2 ski erg though, I really liked that.

Awesome time at this cool hotel!! Has very unique vibes and the rooms are super spacious! Also don’t miss out the spa at the top floor!! You can never pass the breakfast here because it is actually better than some of five star hotels in Stockholm!! Next time I would love to try some fun activities that hotel offers!

Excellent hotel with a very modern and cosy atmosphere. A luxurious vibe but laid back and not stiff or clinical. Incredibly friendly and helpful service minded staff who made my stay a joy. The breakfast was excellent with a great selection of fresh, tasty and high quality food. I was a bit disappointed that the sauna required booking, I had not understood this when making the reservation so only managed to use it once. That said the rooftop sauna/pool is an amazing experience if you are able to book it.

Great hotel, nice size room, very clean, lots of amenities - in room security safe, mini fridge, kettle with tea and coffee, large bathroom. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food, some days it was very busy but always had somewhere to sit even if I arrived earlier than my reservation. Well located in the centre, close to shops and restaurants. Staff always friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here two times, in Dec 2019 and Dec 2021. It's a good hotel, location is perfect, good staff, good breaks for Nordic standards, and good cost benefit. However, it's getting old and room cleanliness could be improved. Another down is that they tend to have very long lines for the restaurant and reception. It's interesting that they offset the CO2 emissions generated by the meat they serve in the restaurant, so if you are into green stuff, this might be your hotel

Very good stylish hotel, in a great location. Good value for money. Bed is very comfortable, they have nice pillows :) The only thing what we didn’t like was, that the rooms are quite dark, but anything else was great :)

  • 4/5 Courtney K. 2 years ago on Google
Super cosy with a great view. I'd love to visit the spa someday. Drinks and wine are pretty expensive and the wine doesn't taste that special for the price tag. For 125-155kr you'd expect nicer wine that's been more carefully curated. Also, there's not really anything to eat, so as long as you're going for the atmosphere, it's a good place to catch up with friends.

  • 3/5 Alex R. 1 year ago on Google
The location is great, no doubt, but the hotel is massive! A city block in size, the biggest hotel I've ever stayed in. Good breakfast, and helpful staff. But the number of people made it feel super industrial. Not enough elevators for the number of guests. Interesting outings. Not what I would recommend for a couple, maybe better for a family?

Our favorite hotel in Stockholm. We love everything about it: wonderful concept; excellent location (in the very city center); spacious comfortable rooms with cozy window nooks; super friendly staff; amazing breakfast with great vegan and gluten-free options; the possibility to play ping-pong (so much fun!). We’ll definitely come back again!

Lovely stay at Downtown Camper. Great rooms with a brilliant design. Eco conscious. They won't clean your room every day unless you specifically request this the day prior so be aware. You can simply call up and ask however. Soaps and bathroom amenities were perfect and well stocked. Get included breakfast as it's worth the money given the exorbitant prices in Stockholm. They have a great selection and everything is super fresh and tasty. They will ask you to pre book a reservation time but just do this when you arrive at the desk for ease. They are pretty flexible with timing regardless which is desirable when you are on holiday!

Amazing hotel to stay! Clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast is the best and available between 7 to 10 AM. Being located in the city center it's very easy to move around for shopping and also to metro stations. Trams, buses, cabs are easily accessible. Staff is kind and helped me with print out of documents and also booked a cab to airport! Thanks for facilitating a comfortable stay!

Beautiful, modern hotel. Very friendly staff! The environmentally friendly concept, room is only cleaned during the stay if it is announced the evening before, or the optimised breakfast, are exemplary, but it would be desirable if the room was really clean at check in. What is a pity is that for the age group 12-16, except for table tennis, there are no offers in the hotel. Playroom from 6-12 and rooftop pool, fitness studio only from 16. In addition, it is a pity that for a hotel of this category, a surcharge must be paid for the use of the rooftop pool and the wellness area, as well as the use must be booked and cannot be used at any time.

Fantastic hotel. Great location. Great family room with plenty of space for 4 of us. Fantastic breakfast, truly the best my family have ever seen in any hotel for choice and taste, they even have a great gluten free section. Friendly helpful staff and great activities available everyday for those interested, from running and swimming, yoga, kayaking and retro arcade gaming. Highly recommended!

Great hotel with a perfect location to explore Stockholm. They even let me check in a few hours earlier, which was perfect! Only bad thing is the high price (295/395 SEK) and long wait to book a place for the pool or sauna

  • 5/5 Tim K. 1 year ago on Google
Probably one of the best hotels in Stockholm in terms of location, and price/value. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed, and one of the many highlights of staying at Downtown Camper. The Urban/Camper vibe is beautifully executed all the way down to the music curation. A truly intentional experience, clearly thought through by a team off competent designers.

Me and my friend stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last week. Everything was perfect: room was very cozy and elegant , beds were comfortable and the most important thing that they have adjusted room’s windowsill for seating đŸ˜đŸ‘đŸŒ Breakfast had a big variety of food, lots of pastries and the waffle-maker 😋. The hotel itself has many amenities as spa, restaurant, a bar on the highest floor and a gym. They also offer tours in Stockholm and many activities as yoga and sound experience, which are totally for free! The only thing that I did not like , it was very cold in the room and I couldn’t adjust the temperature;( me and my friend had to sleep in sweaters all the time not to get sick). But overall experience is unforgettable 😍

Hotel location is one of the most convenient ones in the town. Property is very modern with good layout and added facilities. We stayed here for a few days and were pampered by the hospitality and impressed by the attitude of the staff. You need to stay here to experience the differences.

Bang in the centre of Stockholm, it does not get any more central than that. My room was small but very comfortable with pillows on a platform by the window, large enough even to sleep on, if one were so inclined. Very hip interior design and decoration of the hotel, cool bicycle repair self-service shop at the entrance, good food.

Perfect location in city center. The hotel staff are very friendly, room was very nice and with warm atmosphere. There was no closet and no A/C (I guess usually not needed in that region). Breakfast was one of the best I encountered with a selection variety and tasty fresh products. Will come there again if I come to Stockholm.

A well located hotel. The staff is very kind and the rooms are quiet and spacious enough. The breakfast is of a large variety. They have a separate stand with gluten-free options. Throughout the time I was there, the breakfast served was the same every day. One thing that surprised me was that the hotel wanted to charge me extra for earlier check-in. The room was ready and usually, they just let you enter the room without an en extra charge, but not here.

We had a workshop for work that was held here. The hotel is really well decorated and the staff friendly! Due to the fact that we were a big group dinner was preordered. The vegan option seemed to be compiled on the spot and was rather plain. The meat option also seemed to be rather simple and did not reflect the price. But maybe the a la carte option would have been better. Overall great place to have a business meeting. The rooftop bar is really nice too!

The hotel location is outstanding, at the hear of the city. Breakfast is out of this world, definitely include it in your booking Rooms are pretty decent One thing to know is that if you need housekeeping, you need to book it with reception the day before The only negative is that there is a rooftop bar at the building across the hotel and you ca hear the bass from the music, which is unpleasant

Our stay was fantastic! Alexandra at the front desk was so patient and kind, she gave us so much information. The included breakfast was so impressive, it had everything we could imagine and more! We loved the fresh juices especially. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We slept well and everything was clean. The rooftop bar was enjoyable, the bartenders were friendly and quick. The café served a great lunch. Overall the vibes are great and we hope to stay again!
