Our impression of the hotel is the staff, super nice, friendly, and helpful, can’t remember all the names but Sara, Marcus, Anelka, Carl, the Cuban guy (sorry can’t remember the name), all of them were super nice. The hotel is very nice, boutique cosy style. The beds are very comfy, and the showers are great. The location is excellent, close to the center (but quiet), walking distance, and in front of the lake.

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel is so underrated that I needed to help bring the score to where it belongs. Everything about the Lydmar is top tier and unique. Beautiful and funky art, comfortable accommodations, cool little sitting areas on each floor with record players and a library of vinyl and a staff that were markedly chipper and helpful. Breakfast each morning was the same (spent 6 nights here) but was high quality and had everything you’d want (fresh produce, egg dishes, salmon, porridge etc). The restaurant was excellent as was the bar and the location for business in downtown Stockholm. I will certainly stay here again on my next trip over.

From arrival to departure the Lydmar did not disappoint. Welcoming staff. Cozy vibe. Eye candy around every corner. Excellent food with good vegetarian options. Comfortable room with great amenities. Terrific location. Staff went above and beyond trying to contact land-based agent on my behalf. This hotel is a gem. I would be delighted to stay here again.

Very nice place to grab a drink or two after work. Fantastic location with great views. In the summer this place is soaked in sun, which is nice, but can get pretty hot too :) If you plan to stay the night, you would need to book in advance. It's a boutique hotel so not that many rooms. But they all have the highest standards. The food is also very good, the options are the main restaurant or the back terrace to choose from. Live DJ as well after work. Gets very crowded quicky.

We only went in for a drink but the staff were really friendly and helpful. A small selection of drinks and some good local beers. Good atmosphere, with some nice artwork on the walls. Dinning is available.

We couldn't decide between staying at The Lydmar and the Grand Hotel next door, so we chose both for 3 nights apiece. They are literally next door to one another and share an incredible location with harbor views. We learned that both hotels share the same owner. The Lydmar is definitely the young, hip, artsy sister to the Grand. The room was cozy and on the smaller side (we booked the entry-level price room), but still very well-appointed and comfortable, full of fun and funky art. The staff here really shines. They are fun friendly and professional. The lobby bar and restaurant are bustling and offer delicious food and cocktails. The breakfast buffet in the morning is wonderful, with a HUGE selection of hot and cold items, and the staff makes wonderful coffees. If you are looking for a younger, hipper scene, this is the place to stay!

A wonderful oasis in Stockholm - With spacious rooms, a homey atmosphere, charming spaces, and top-notch service, this boutique hotel has everything you need to enjoy a stay in the city. The delicious breakfast buffet is included every morning, and the rooms are always freshened up promptly in the morning. On sunny days, the front patio is full of people soaking up warm weather and having afternoon drinks. In the evening, the bar has great vibes and the cocktails are delicious. The views from the rooms are spectacular, and the neighborhood offers easy access to all major tourist destinations. A huge thank you to the team at Lydmar for making our stay exceptional and giving us the feeling that we had a home away from home for a few days. We hope to come back soon!

Every time I come to Stockholm, I must have a meal at Lydmar. This time it was dinner. I just love coming here. The way you are greeted, the good service, the excellent vine and food. Just a perfect experience as always. All the best Tom

Room with king size bed was so small we could barely turn around with all our luggage. There was no desk or really anyplace to sit and use a computer. This would be a good place if you had miminal luggage but we were going on a cruise so had several pieces.

First, give the front desk person, Sara, a raise. She was extremely kind and helpful. I asked her many annoying questions and she was perfect. The hotel is perfectly located. Fantastic little outdoor area and DJ was knocking out some jams. Inside the room was okay. The interior design was a little much. Some things need to be updated like bidets should be installed in the bathroom. Also, the comforter is not big enough for the bed with 2 people in it. Also, the maid entered even with the "Do not enter" sign was on the door handle. That was weird. The breakfast was good but not great. All in all, a good hotel experience but not a great experience.

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location! They organised our transfers, our tours and restaurants and everything was perfect!! Our room was incredible, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend staying here enough! We will be back if we make it back to Stockholm…

Staff is great. They are personable, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. The hotel is located centrally to everything in Stockholm. The rooms are decorated nicely and comfortable. The hotel has an energetic cool vibe. I highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Stockholm.

Omg Lydmar is sooo good!!! This was another hotel I stayed when in Stockholm, which also belongs to Small Luxury Hotel. Everything was good, especially the receptionist. He was so kind and even arranged me a supreme room with amazing view when I arrived at 7 am.

Beautiful hotel is a really good location. Very family friendly. Rooms are very large. Service is excellent and breakfast is amazing. Not in love with some of the restaurant menu items, but their service is great.

Have stayed here and dined here on separate occasions. Really love the home vibe in the restaurant. Food is great & the cocktails are tasty. Staff are helpful and nice. Rooms and decor are cosy but trendy. The only slight negative is that the gym is not in the building so there is a short walk across the road to the Grand Hotel gym - this is a great gym however so not too much of an issue. Just not fun if it’s wintertime and snowing! Highly recommend staying here and LOVE that there are dog friendly hotel rooms!

fabulous place to stay...best location to reach everything on foot or bike...vibrant atmosphere with cool people and lots of happenings...rooms are all individually decorated...5th floor has a lounge with turntable where you can run your own party...services top as well as food and drinks...high recommendation for a weekend stay...would always go there again.

We stayed this summer and were astonished at the service! Marcus was the most helpful friendly and accommodating fellow and we will be back again because of his efforts! Also the patio DJs (two guys switching out) were legit party rockers and the vibe was next level!

There is no question this is a five-star hotel! The staff are amazing and courteous! Each and every one of them was pleasant and helpful. I want to give special thanks to Danielle who went over and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable in first class! I want a special thanks to go to her! I'm sad after 10 days to be departing tomorrow. I will miss all the nice people that I've met.

Absolutely adore this place. Come here semi regularly for work visits and would happily recommend to anyone looking to visit Stockholm. The rooms are immaculate, the beds are incredibly comfy, fantastic service from the staff, great views across the waterfront and a really short walk to the shops/touristy areas as well.
