I've stayed at many small boutique hotels, and most of them get a lot of things right. This was the first time I can say a hotel got EVERYTHING right. The location, the gorgeous lobby bar, the comfortable room, the huge breakfast buffet were all spot-on perfect. There were two things that made it all even better. First and foremost were the staff. Their professionalism and helpfulness were great, but they were warm and friendly as well. The concierge Kiki was just exceptional. We arrived at 7am exhausted from the long flight from L.A. She took care of us like we were family and even managed to get us into our room hours earlier than we expected. It gave us a whole additional day to enjoy Stockholm. Additional, to our surprise this hotel featured a huge extra shared living room next to our room. It had key card access and was almost always empty, so it basically gave us 5 times more space than just our room. It was perfect for when one of us was up early or could not sleep. (See pic) I've written a lot of hotel reviews, and this one comes out on top of them all. If I could give it six stars, I would.

In booking here we'd hoped for a small boutiquey hotel with rooms that weren't too small and with nice, modern appointments in a good location that was close to Old Town but not in it. And, remarkably, we got that and more. The architecture of the building alone is fascinating (I wasn't the only one who noticed it: another guest was entranced by it and asking questions about how it was all put together). Our room was large, the bathroom huge, the space clean, the furniture comfortable and well-chosen. There's also a restaurant in the hotel, not the best but not bad at all, good enough in fact that we had dinner there twice. Also wonderful, helpful, patient concierges. And though very quiet, it's also very close to main shopping areas outside Old Town, and to the major museums and harbor attractions, and to the tram lines that take you three or four stops to Kungliga Djurgården and the Vasa Museum.

This was a wonderful hotel:) The staff was seeet and helpful:) The room was small but with a high ceiling and beautiful. It was a tiny bit cold, but I turned on the warm bathroom rack, and it warmed up the whole room - also perfect if you need to handwash something to dry. There are also nice common areas to work and relax in, and the location is super central.

Relaxed elegant atmosphere suitable for people seeking a tranquil stay in the heart of the city. The bistro offers a variety of tasty dishes, the breakfast is high quality and both the restaurant and reception staff are very friendly, polite and professional. Our favourite place to stay and eat while visiting Stockholm.

Our favourite hotel for the duration of our honeymoon! The hotel is beautiful and grand yet very welcoming. The room was very cozy and had small well-thought out details that made our stay very enjoyable. There was large selection to choose from for breakfast, my husband and I enjoyed tasting the Swedish fare. And lastly, the staff were superb, efficient and smiling all the time. Special thanks to Kiki, the concierge who was so helpful with recommendations and made us feel special for our honeymoon!

Excellent in everything . Location, rooms, breakfast, atmosphere, friendliness! They even upgraded our room for free because of our wedding anniversary. No need to search in endless lists looking for a hotel in Stockholm, just go for it !

Perfect location in the middle of the city but still the location is peaceful beside all hustle and bustle. Rooms are renovated with style and breakfast is generous. Can even recommend their restaurant.

We stayed in the hotel, this was our first snowy Christmas holiday from the UK. The place is stunning, staff were amazing, food was perfect I highly recommend this place. First night we had cocktails, the staff made a signature special cocktail this wasn't cheap, We had breakfast in the mornings which was amazing great choice of foods. Always clean, always very warm, staff did a lovely job of making us welcome.

Perfect place to stay for a visit to Stockholm, especially due to the location and staff. It is extremely convenient for walking to so many sights, restaurants, shops, and transit (though I almost never needed to use it), and the staff were very friendly and gave helpful advice on touring Stockholm. Despite this central location, the room was quiet and the view of the city was nice (4th floor). Plus, the breakfast was very good and had a wide variety of food, I enjoyed it each day of my stay here, and the other amenities like the gym and sauna were great. Some reviews mention the rooms being too small but the size felt just enough for two people with medium luggage, plus the rooms were very nicely decorated and cozy.

It’s hard to beat this excellent location, and the hotel is charming, stylish, and clean. The breakfast was much less good than larger (and less expensive) hotels in Stockholm can offer. The staff were friendly and helpful, though things were a bit confused at times. I was overcharged substantially, though after I went back and queried this later, they did put through a refund.

A very nice hotel, in an ideal location in Stokholm. The staff on the front office desk are friendly and efficient, even on very late check-ins during the night. The restaurant theme, a mix of industrial iron structures and oriental rugs is very interesting. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Stay here! Awesome hotel in a great location with a wonderful staff - we couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to stay here. I'm still thinking about their breakfast and the little Swedish meatballs in particular. The rooms have a lot of character and are very comfortable yet well-appointed. Shout out to the world's best concierge: Kiki! She was eager to help us at every turn and made our stay particularly memorable.

The rooms are very small and don’t have proper blackout curtains, so you will be woken up from 5 am by bright sunshine (in the summer at least). Sadly the aircon did not work properly neither. There was also nearby loud music (nightclub maybe?) until 2 am during my stay.

Fantastic hotel. Everything from the welcome at reception, the efficient service, the quality of the rooms, the breakfast and helpfulness of staff were all excellent. Location also perfect for a central base to explore Stockholm.

Post-pandemic times, I’ve had trouble sleeping in beds other than my own. This boutique hotel was the exception — best uninterrupted sleep I’ve had in years! I love the French old world charm seen throughput the decor of Hotel Kungsträdgården, and incorporated in its classic Gustavian style. I enjoyed the filling breakfasts which are being served from 7am (great for “early birds” or when you want to make the most of your days by starting while most are still asleep 😴). Brasserie Makalös is right next to the hotel serving French cuisine, and music constantly plays in the lift, the bar and the brasserie. 🎶🙂 I feel that the location is perfect as it’s close to transportation links, the financial and shopping districts of the city, and walking distance from most tourist attractions. Even then, it’s tucked in a quiet alley, away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff have all been lovely, warm and very helpful throughout my stay. My room was clean and tidy when I checked in and after returning from my day out. When I needed suggestions such as when I was looking for a certain Swedish niche brand that I couldn’t find in the brand’s website, the 24/7 concierge was more than willing to help. My room was probably of Parisian size but every detail was so well thought-out that they all worked perfectly and the room didn’t feel cramped at all: the bed and its comfortable beddings and pillows, the shower and glass door, the built-in mini bar and closet, the placement of mirrors and desk, plus the decor theme in my favourite light shade of blue making the room cosy and minimalist. There were even thoughtful amenities like an umbrella for Stockholm’s rainy weather (thankfully the weather improved during my short stay) and a “sleep kit”. 🙂If I had to build a room in a limited space, I’d think back to the carefully laid out details of my room in this lovely boutique hotel for inspiration.☺️

Great location in the heart of the city, within walking distance to the old town, the shopping district, and Djurgården (home of the outdoor museum Skansen, the ABBA museum, the Nordic Museum, and the Gröna Lund amusement park). The rooms were very nice with thoughtful amenities, and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast was included in our room, but we didn't realize it until the second day, so please ask.

I really liked this hotel. The rooms are not too big but comfortable and clean. Nice bathroom, a lot of useful details. Also the breakfast court is very nice in the centre of the hotel. Lot of business guests, given the area. Ita very close to many offices. I disliked the split duvet, apparently a Scandinavian thing. A bit on the kitsch side too the room. But all in all a good stay.

Most charming hotel very very central to everything. The staff from reception to all other service personal, exceptionally helpful, smiling to everyone and nothing is any trouble. Rooms are extremely clean with all possible facilities. Restaurant and food, super tasty and presentation for every taste. Don't miss this place. We'll be back ❤️❤️❤️

Downtown location, small quiet hotel, cosy with a great dining/ breakfast room. Rooms are tiny but neat and the hotel is ideal for exploring Stockholm. The Bar tender was not up to the task but friendly, the served wine was not good. Overall, 4 stars are well deserved

The staff were wonderful, the atmosphere is just magical this place is really a hidden pearl in the middle of Stockholm. The food was OK, comparing to the glamour of the place and the staff you'd think the food would be much better.. But it was fine!

We happened to get a room here and we were extremely happy with it. The room had large enough windows that brought natural light and a somewhat tall ceiling which made the room feel bigger. The color scheme of the room was very soothing too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Recommend.

Beautiful Hotel at an excellent location in Stockholm! Our room was gorgeous with a tall ceiling and decorated in a very royal fashion, overlooking the ice rink in Trädgarden. The lobby, bar and restaurant was super cool with an amazing french vibe, great wine selection and really good cocktails and food. The staff were incredibly helpful with everything, we forgot some items in our room after checkout and called later the next evening to ask about them and the lobby contacted housekeeping inmediately and found our stuff right away. Will definitely stay there again!

The location of the hotel is so convenient to the royal palace, natural history museum and Old town. Couldn't ask for a better location. Staff and front desk were great. So helpful with my bags and with any questions I had! My room had a great view of the garden. I've had better breakfast in other hotels on this trip. However the location and great service made up for it. Service: 10/10 Location: 10/10 Room: 9/10 Breakfast: 6/10

The front desk to the wait staff were amazing. The hotel is convenient and walking distance to old Stockholm and the piers for boat cruises. Both the staff that we dealt with at the front desk were extremely helpful. The food at breakfast and especially dinner was the best you could ask for. The atmosphere at the hotel is beautiful and relaxing. I would highly recommend it . It will be the the only hotel I will stay in on my next visit to Stockholm .

The hotel is perfectly located, the queen superior room (235) was absolutely great and well furnished. The breakfast is great with fresh product, quantity and the room is great Special for Kiki, the concierge, who was really kind and helpful with great recommendations and support to book restaurants and other places. We will come back asap with no hesitation in this hotel

This hotel is right in the city center, only 10 minutes walking from the central station. Service is friendly, rooms are nice and clean. They have a great breakfast.

Rooms are extremely small for the price paid Small windows also and couldn't be opened Always super clean and service A+++ Breakfast in the morning to die for, I started all of my days way way way too full Slept well because no sound at all and beds were pretty comfy Wifi was problematic for me, always kepts cutting Location is pretty much unbeatable I paid 650 Cad$ and this seems too much for what it was. For Stockholm I don't think it's a lot though so maybe ok

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff was super friendly. However, rooms are rather small, especially if you are staying a couple of nights.

Very central hotel with cozy rooms. The cheapest rooms are extremely small and really for maximum one person, but they are good enough. Breakfast is tasty and the inside of the hotel itself is beautiful, there is a cozy balcony lounge. The staff on the other hand is so. slow. The restaurant staff especially. Disappointing.
