It is a special place. The sunlight provides a unique atmosphere inside there and the quality of air conditioning in there is top notch. The showers and toiletries were simply amazing. The only place I could really compare it too would be Auschwitz circa 1943. But overall would stay again

I stayed at this hostel in the old town, and while the location is great, the overall experience left much to be desired. The basement setting meant no sunlight, and an odd smell lingered throughout, with visible mold on some walls. The rooms were small, had a pervasive bad odor, and my bed had an unsettling stain. The aging, squeaky beds made every move disruptive, and mold on the walls was a recurring issue. Despite daily cleaning, the bathrooms were consistently unclean, with persistent hygiene issues like pee stains on the toilet seats (a urinal would have solved this issue) mind you, there is no room to stand in the stall to pee anyways, so it sort of makes sense why people who uses it can't aim properly. Note that there are extra charges for bed sheets (€9) and towels (€4). Safety concerns arose from loud, obnoxious residents with communication challenges and unpleasant odors. Common areas were often dirty, and the peculiar room smell persisted despite daily floor wiping. Overall, a disappointing 2-star experience. however, if you don't mind most things I mentioned, then don't hesitate to book there especially if you're staying for a few days and spending most of your time outside.

❗️❗️❗️DO NOT STAY HERE❗️❗️❗️ The first impression of the hostel was very dirty and dark. Despite the good location, you feel very (!) unsafe. The conditions of the rooms and especially the bathrooms are inhuman. You feel like it’s for rats. It looks nothing like the picture you find on the website. We left immediately. Do not stay here.

Do NOT stay here!! It’s not a safe place to stay, especially for girls. We left after 2 hours and saw drug addicted, drunk and weird people. We needed to share our room with someone who actually lives there!? He was naked under his blanket and 40+. Random guys, not even Hostel guests, sat in the girls bathroom taking/making drugs. A guy followed our friend down the hallway and tried to catch her. Everything is dirty. It is a basement. The receptionist started being mean after we explained our situation. Earlier the day he told us, it’s a safe place to stay for girls. That’s a lie. Roommates offered Cocaine without asking. The common kitchen is a mess. There’s dirt and random stuff everywhere. We got no money back, but at least we ended up staying at a place where we felt comfortable.

This is simply the worst accommodation I've ever layed foot on. The actual place looks nothing like the fotos. It's actually sort of a cave, under a building. Conditions are horrible, with just 1 toilet bowl for men and 1 toilet bowl for women for all the guests (about 90 people if fully booked) and nearly no privacy in the showers. To enter the bathroom I had to crouch (small door) and hold my breath because it stinked. I couldn't stand straight next to the toilet bowl or in the showers (I'm 1.86m). Rooms are filthy, and the pillows had strange orange stains. This place should be closed due to lack of conditions. We left after 15min and although they didn't refund us the night, we don't regret running away from that horrid place.

This hostel is absolutely gross! The bathroom facilities are certainly the worst I've experienced in Europe! They are filthy, with bins full of used tissues in the toilet cubicles and generally unclean floors and showers. The rooms are basic they have no windows or ventilation. Finally you have to pay to use sheets when you arrive, which obviously increases the price that they advertise online. Do not stay here, pay slightly more and stay somewhere else

You get what you pay for. Good location. Service is OK. Not very clean. Bedsheets are required and cost you an extra €10 (as opposed to what it says on the website). Underground so little to no natural light. Decent enough for one night.

It's very unclean, dont even wanna try showering and when going to the toilet one isn't even allowed to flush their toilet papers, so that leaves very unclean piles. Honestly just find something else and spend a little bit more money.. especially when you're a woman. Don't risk it. Safety first.

A guy that was staying at the hostel saw me a friend of mine trying to go inside and stopped us telling us not to stay at his hostel. Not safe at all mostly for 2 girls, people using drugs in common areas (he even mentioned a spoon) and heavy fights at night. I wlked in with him and the vibe in the common area was weird. Is also a bit difficult to get in touch with any responsible of the hostel. Only plus point was that they accepted to give us free cancellation of the booking. When i booked it i thought it was just not the cleanest place of the world(which i dont mind) reading other reviews, but i never expected a situation like this one. Honestly too much, my safety goes first.

Super cheap place to stay! And it’s in the middle of the city. The room was clean, sheets were fresh, staff was very nice to us. Since we only used the room for sleeping and spent the whole day in the town, we didn’t need much. The only minus is smelly toilets, since you need to throw the used paper in the bin next to the toilet, not in the toilet. It is a good place for young people that are looking for cheap accommodation. Not recommended for families with kids and people who want some comfort. Showers are shared and there are only 3 toilets for whole hostel. It is located underground so there is no daylight in the room. Also the air is not very fresh since you can’t open the window.

Don't know what the fuss in the review section is all about, you pretty much get what you pay for at this place. The rooms are pretty tidy and there are a lot of power outlets and lamps, the bed was also satisfactory. The lounge rooms are cool but you can't chill there durring the night (which is fine). The only problem is... perhaps the restrooms could be a little more tidy. If you plan on saving money on your trip, this place is good enough to do so.

The staff was ok. I expected more. The only good thing was the location Otherwise it was like one for rats. In the kitchen I saw a cockroach walking on the table. It was dirty and the walls were damp. About the bathroom. Oh my God If I was in public toilets they would be cleaner than this. It smelled so bad And the facilities just... The room was good, the only clean thing there. But for a window I had an iron panel like the prisoners high up on the wall. If I had known before, I wouldn't have booked

The rooms were absolutely horrible. The bathrooms were smelly and there were some guests(?) that were super creepy. Did not feel safe there at all the only redeeming point is the location.

It's probably the worst hostel in the world. No staff, dirty common areas and lack of air cables and pipes hanging around. Had at least been cheap i would not have written a bad review.

Conditions match the price- it's not the best, but it's enough to rest comfortably for a night or two. You have to bring your own linen or rent it for a 100 kr. Hostel is underground, so rooms don't have windows, but they have fans and good lighting. Staff is really understanding and nice, but I wouldn't use the showers.

One of the worst hostels I have evet stayed. So dissapointed in the lack of cleaning and the smell which is quadrupled by the fact that there are no windows or air conditioning. It is a local spot for homeless people to come and spend couple of nights, which is very fine however it would be helpful if they mentioned it somewhere especially if you’re travelling solo, which I was, or as a woman. The location is amazing and I get that the price is a bit justified bc of the location. Wouldn’t reccomend to my worst enemy sorry.

I mean, you can somehow live here but there are junkies in the bathroom and the rooms are more similar to prison cell, if your not really really drunk, just don’t go there, find something that resembles a hotel, the staff Is nice but yea, that’s about it

It’s a good place to stay for some days in Stockholm, the receptionist is so kind and helpful. The building is in a good area (the old town) and the price is so convenient for the position.

BIG WARNING! Old, sunky toilet/showers. No room window. I came late 23.15. Card key to room did not work! They didn't answer the phone + wrong no. in confirmation.

Stayed for 21 days here. The room I was in was a shared 4 bunker bed. It was clean and tidy. Kitchen usually is busy. Toilets are a bit smelly. Hany, the incharge staff, is kind. The location is in the centre of city, very convenient place.

Nice, warm and cosy. In The middle of medival Old Town of the capitol of Sweden, Stockholm. Well worth a stay over, in the heart of the city. Close to, baseball everything. Regardles directions.

The people are friendly and the location is perfect in the old town. But everything else is terrible. The rooms are old and dirty. The men and woman had to share the shower room and there was almost no fresh air since it was underground.

Location, people, city is amazing. The hostel is quite literally the worst building I have ever been in my life. Shared showers are absolutely filthy, rooms either burning hot or freezing cold no middle ground. Never any staff.

  • 2/5 Zazenya 1 year ago on Google
Only the location was good. There is no hygiene, no doors for shower, you have to pay for bed sheets and even the paid bed sheets were not that clean.

  • 2/5 Shiva K. 1 year ago on Google
Nothing like it looks in the pictures, no air circulation, very packed and the bathroom is a night mare. You pay extra for the bed sheets. Over hyped RAT HOLE

Stayed here for one night during the mid summer holiday. Old school place with a good value for money. Location is the best thing about this hostel. You can pretty much walk to all the major attractions in Stockholm from here.

I went to check it out before checking in, it smelled badly in the corridor entrance, decided not to stay there.. Tried to cancel booking but they did not agree, really nasty people who work there.

  • 1/5 Lucia H. 7 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
Awful service. Rudeness, lies, cockroaches, dirty intimate clothes in the middle of the corridor… I know it’s really cheap, but I can assure you it’s not worth it. I give it 1 star because I can’t give none. We didn’t stay even for one night and we reserved for two. We called the day before to cancel and nobody answered. Wen we arrived, we called booking since there wasn’t no one on the hotel who we could talk to. We were charged with both nights just because we entered the room to leave our luggage to go have breakfast (this was 9 AM, so before the supposed “check-out” of the first night). Then booking told us that they said they’ll refund us with half of what we paid. We left and now, less than a week later, they refund us with less than the 20% of what we were told.

This hostel, which I hesitate to dignify with the term, presented an alarming convergence of discomfort and disarray. It wasn't merely a place to rest; it was an unsettling odyssey through the worst facets of hospitality. The initial shock manifested itself in the form of a bed tainted with blood, a grotesque introduction that set the tone for the nightmarish stay that followed. The olfactory assault was relentless—an amalgamation of foul scents that greeted us upon every return, triggering an immediate sense of dread and prompting involuntary panic. Sleep became a distant prospect as the acrid stench permeated the air, an almost tangible presence that clung to every surface. In a twist that surpassed mere metaphor, the presence of a "panic button" in the rooms served as an unsettling acknowledgment of the hostel's inherent dangers. The stark reality of needing an emergency measure within these walls underscored a profound lack of security, compounding the already palpable sense of vulnerability. Our roommates, if they can be called that, defied the conventions of communal living. One was a prisoner of his bed, ensconced for an eerie 72 hours without apparent respite. The others seemed to have transcended the transient nature of hostel living, exhibiting a disconcerting permanence that raised questions about the place's occupants. This is not a mere cautionary tale; it's a fervent plea to spare yourself the anguish of a stay in this hostel. The combination of unsanitary conditions, pervasive discomfort, and eerie roommates transforms it into a place that transcends the ordinary and ventures into the realm of the truly nightmarish. Choose your accommodations wisely, for the haunting memories of this ill-fated stay linger long after the departure.

let's get straight to the points: 1. you don't want to find yourself in this place in your worst nightmare 2. it stinks, there is blood on the beds, or they are covered with piss 3. stoned people smoking from silverware in the toilet as if nothing happened 4. screaming all night long 5. dirty, very dirty 6. the beds are falling apart 7. panic buttons do not work 8. toilets are a joke, you can break your head with the pipes, the ubiquitous fungus 9. no working ventilation, you are in the basement and there is little fresh air flow 10. the photos on Google are fake, they are visualizations, the rooms look like a prison

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️WARNING⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ In all sincerity, I feel compelled to emphasize the urgency of my warning—please, for your own well-being, avoid staying at this hostel. It resembled more of a prison than a temporary abode, both in its literal structure and the oppressive atmosphere that lingered. The pervasive, putrid odor permeating the place induced an unsettling feeling, casting a dark shadow over every return. My initial encounter with a blood-stained bed set the tone, making it nearly impossible to find solace in sleep amidst the overpowering stench. The unsettling presence of a "panic button" in the rooms only intensified the sense of unease, revealing the hostel's alarming lack of security or comfort. Our roommates' behavior bordered on the bizarre and unsettling, with one seemingly confined to his bed for an alarming 72 hours, while others exhibited a disconcerting permanence that transcended the typical transient nature of hostel stays. Consider this a plea to spare yourself from the nightmarish experience that awaits within these walls.
