👍👍 It's a very cosy place with a spacious indoor area. I tried their homemade ice cream and I loved it! The blueberries and walnut flavours were very nice. I also had rhubarb lemonade which was refreshing. The staff was very friendly! People often mention nice, good, coffee, lunch, cozy, staff, Stockholm, friendly, vegan,

This was one of my favourite cafes while visiting Stockholm. Wonderful choice for fika. It is quaint with a cozy atmosphere. Elegant wooden interiors with enough windows for natural lighting. Spacious to accomodate small groups/solo diners. Known for their waffles & cakes. Laid back vibes & locals seem to frequent here. Welcoming friendly staff. Their bathroom is super clean with nice art decor. Bonus: a vintage piano sits in the back area, near the kitchen.

Amazing cakes and good coffee - perfect place for Fika. The carrot cake was amazing and different flavours to normal and the mud pie was heavenly.

A nice and cozy cafe. Very popular amount the local. Don't expect to find a seat, if you go in a rush hour. Good homemade cake and light food. Most customers chatted in low voice. Again, service was nice, if it was not too busy.

Very cozy coffee place, good music (‘80s, ‘90s). Friendly staff. The coffee is really good, but a tip for the kitchen would be to upgrade your sandwiches (i.e. the mozzarella & tomato sandwich could use some pesto and herbs, same goes for the avocado & poached eggs sandwich).

It's always a happy experience visiting Tårtan with their lovely staff, cozy environment, and great-tasting bakery and food items. I can also recommend having breakfast in the outdoors seating while Stockholm is waking up to the morning sun.

On an almost rainy Stockholm day I was looking for a place to lunch and since on both Trip Advisor and Google reviews it was listed mostly as "fika place" I wasn't necessarily going in there, cause I wanted a place for lunch. However, passing by I saw the outside board saying there was the vegetarian lunch buffet for sek 130 I think (?) So I decided to give it a try. The interior was very inviting, old building with lots of space and plants and nice art. The food was good (coffee and water included in the lunch buffet, as it should be). When in Stockholm, i will definitely visit this place again :)

Incredible service, very nice staff. I left my bag there by accident with all my cards and they kept the doors open even after the close for me to come get my bag and i got a message on my social media to be sure i found it. So cute, calm and delicious 👍👍👍 Merci encore!

While Tårtan’s location and interior warrant positive acknowledgment, the management needs to sharpen up. They need to make sure their vegan offerings are actually vegan; they served the only vegan lunch dish, the lentil stew, with non-vegan butter, which is unacceptable. Their failure to provide an actually vegan lunch likely speaks to a more fundamental management shortcoming. I urge the team to review their practices and reach a professional level of service in line with Stockholm’s competitive café scene. For example, many items on the menu could easily be offered as vegan but are not: the yoghurt with granola could be done with vegan yoghurt, the vegetarian meat patties could be offered with oat-based cream sauce. And with every vegan option, it should be clear to the kitchen what a customer has ordered.

I have visited countless ice-cream boutiques in Stockholm, Genève and Paris in search of the Perfect Pistasch ice-cream, it is extreamly hard to find due to it's complexity and flavor balance but.. U guys hands down have THE PERFECT PISTASCH ice-cream ever !!! Light years ahead of everybody in ice-cream business!!

Very cute café. The vegetarian lunch buffet was delicious, but when I arrived at around 12:30 almost all of the food was gone and didn’t get replenished before I left.

Cozy cramped café trying to keep to a venerable history. Priced as expected at a prime tourist location and with a decent but not exceptional offering. Not for the coffee aficionados but offers a good atmosphere and a change of pace that allows thinking about ages past.

Our favourite café in Stockholm and the best breakfast we had during our stay! We not only loved the food but also the atmosphere: the interior is very cozy. It's perfect to start the day at when planning to have a stroll around Södermalm and SoFo.

We stopped by around 8:30 in the morning because most other places do not open till 9. The place has an empty feeling on a Monday morning, probably because it's too early for the Swedish. The lady behind the counter didn't seem too energetic or happy to take our orders. Probably too early for her too. The coffee was ok, nothing to rave about. There was a sour acidic taste to it. I heard the Swedish like it this way, not sure. My suggestion is to wait till 9 & go find a different place. This area is full of coffee places. The cinnamon bun was also nothing special either. This is probably a good place for the early risers or on-the-go folks.

Very nice little cafe. The main reason I'm gladly giving 5 stars is that they have a proper prinsesstårta! Most cafes here have a princess vake that's 50% whipped cream and the only taste comes from the bit of raspberry jam in the middle. Tårtan has a smaller princess cake with strawberry-rhubarb custard and it's SO GOOD! The people working here are also super friendly and helpful. Can recommend!

The location is nice and homelike. The selection of bread rolls is lean. The coffee is strong roasted.

We stopped here twice on our weekend trip to Stockholm. The cinnamon bun and coffee were amazing. We were very impressed by the young girl handling and serving everything and speaking English! Very friendly, cozy place with nice cake options - oat milk was available and free water.

Coffee are ok here, cakes are quite good. The place is a bit crowded but and take some pedestrian path for outside table.

😠 Had heard good things about the place but was sadly disappointed. Waited 15 min for a menu and then 35 min for the food. I ordered the bearnaise 150g steak but as you can see that was never 150g, ridiculously small. Also the warmth was lacking. My company had the chicken burger and it was nearly col...
