Warm vibes. Delicious Peruvian cuisine. This is my first time trying Peruvian cuisine and overall, food was great and the waiters were extremely welcoming and helpful. On the recommendation of the waiter, we ordered a ceviche and the grilled octopus (which to us were the highlight of the night) to share. We also the pisco sour as well and it was delicious. One tiny gripe would be that the food portions were a tad smaller than I had hoped for. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend and return again.

We had a great experience at the restaurant. The service is outstanding und the taste was amazing. Since I am vegan, I was very looking forward to this restaurant visit, because they offer vegan options for authentic recipes. All in all the taste was great. The kitchen is very creative delivering also vegan food. BUT: the price for the vegan options are the same as for fish or meat which is not okay in my opinion. To request the same price for beets, cucumber in comparison to mussels and fish filet is quite absurd. That’s why I give only 4 ⭐️

This place is actually excellent. The food is absolutely amazing (I had the ox fillet), and the appetisers we tried were also super tasty! The staff is polite, and really appreciated the advice they give for help you ordering. Just a small note: wine would be nice to be served on the usual tall wine glasses instead of the short ones.

This is one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in Stockholm. The passion pisco sour is a must try! (twice). I went for the sea rice and my other friends went for the tempura dish as well as the lombo. All amazing and honestly I would change nothing. I’m coming again soon!

Nice place but pricey, really good service, average food. For starters, the Anticuchitos de Corazon (ox hearts skewers) were smokey flavourful but chewy. The stars of this dish are the fried potatoes sitting beneath the skewers. The Oysters soaked in a spicy sauce with trout roe were inconsistent, one bigger and fresh, the other was smaller and poorer quality. The Parmesan Scallops were over cooked, small and hard. CEVICHES LIMA Style was a small plate of mild white fish. It was fresh tasting. The main dishes of Fish & Seafood Peruvian Tempura and Sea Rice were more satisfactory. The flavours were good and appetising. I like the smooth sweet potato mash that came with the tempura. We were offered a habanero sauce with the meal and this packed a punch, not overly hot but packs a kick. It was good sauce to have with the food. Serving size of dishes are small.

Very nice Peruvian foods and drinks. We followed the recommend of 3 meal course and not disappointed at all. The foods are mostly seafood but there are options of vegetarian and non-seafood. Recommend: mixto and belly-pork fried.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Superb Peruvian food at reasonable prices, clearly described by the very passionate owner. The place is small and cozy with a very welcoming atmosphere. 100% passion for food and good times, 0% snobbishness. Will be back for sure! Oh, and don’t forget to checkout their place next door if you want to experience next level hot chocolate.

Technically excellent cooking and friendly waiters made this a five-star experience . The temperature of the room was a little on the high side, as were the noise levels, but it was an enjoyable dinner nevertheless.

The food was so tasty and flavourful. It has been a while since I hadn't tried such good dishes. Looking forward to coming back ❤️ Unfortunately the deserts did not live up to the expectations of the savory dishes, something that happens in the majority of good restaurants sadly. Something that could be a bit better is that we had to call the waiters every time we wanted something so a bit more attention would be appreciated. All that said, I definitely recomend their food and a good indicator is that they are always fully booked, difficult to book on short notice 😜

One of the trendy restaurants with flair in Stockholm. The service was great. The food is awesome and a taste explosion in the mouth. This meal will stay in your memory for a long time with the best memories. We would come back anytime and can only recommend this awesome place!

Great food, nice vibe of the place but what really elevates this place is the service 👌 10 out of 10. We arrived 30 minutes late due to traffic and we called to notify the restaurant so when we arrived they had organized to speed up our service which was actually very enjoyable. Food was really good, emphasis on seafood on the menu and when they say the sauce for the ceviche is spicy, they're not joking (and this comes from someone who used to live in Mexico). The owner is very considerate and the staff just went above and beyond to make our visit and my birthday celebration a night to remember. Make sure to try their Pisco Sour cocktail.

Really good food and very friendly personell! We got a Mercado ceviche, the Grilled pulpo and a Jumping lomo. Everything was delicious! The chicha morada was also very refreshing and I would gladly drink it again. The waitress was very friendly and explained in detail what the dishes were and what she recommended. Overall very happy about our dinner there.

For the first time, we tried Peruvian food and Checa has very tasty dishes indeed! lt was more like in a fine-dining concept and portions are not big but good enough to make you feel full 😃 l missed the restaurants own pre-starter treat, l believe for such concept, it is a must to show their signature. And salmon ceviche was not easy to eat without a side dish like craker, or more green salad. Jumpin Lomo as a main dish was good, we can recommend. Our favorite was definetely sponge cake, the taste and the concept of this dessert was very familiar to us, we have trileçe in our cuisine, so was a nice surprise which made us happy. Nothing special about home-made chica-monada but the coctail Checa Pisco was good 👍

Found our way back to our favorite Peruvian restaurant - Checa. They moved to a new venue. Impeccable service and lovely food that just radiate that there is a family tradition behind each dish. With inspiration from Peru but also some flavors from Asia influenced by Japanese food culture. But I miss the deep bowls which brought even more homie and comfy feeling to their food.

I always come back to Checa when I’m in Stockholm! The place that made me fall in love with the Peruvian cuisine. I always feel welcome, I enjoy every bite and leave with a smile! The yucas are a must! And it’s hard to say no to a pisco sour.

Good option for both vegan and gluten free. Many in the staff speak Spanish if you wrather speak that then Swedish or English. Very nice drinks with pisco. No vegan desert option. Not accessible toilet. Vegan dinner option tasted a lot of the coconut cream making it a little less Peruvian stile but still a recommend worthy place.

Really amazing peruvian food. Fresh flavorful taste. Everything tasted great. We had ceviche, pork belly and the sea rice. The pisco sour was really good as well. Friendly staff. Highly recommend this place

The ceviche was very good, and also the main dishes were well prepared but not as special as we expected them. We found a bit odd that they serve wine in small water glasses. However, staff was very kind so it’s definitely worth a visit if you like Peruvian food 😊

After having lived 20 years in Peru, I never thought I’d be eating at a Peruvian restaurant in Stockholm, and be happily impressed by it. The food was delicious! Dishes are on the small side (and beautifully presented), but that’s a good thing so you can try many different things. Highly recommended!

Nice informal Peruvian style restaurant. Tasty dishes, portions are a bit small, nice cocktails. Good reception and explanation on the menu, but service could be better - the waiter didn't even ask whether we wanted to order new drinks when he served the main course and. our glasses were all empty..

The experience was really amazing. The service, the food, the place, everything was much better than I expected, even though I already had high expectations. I started with pisco sours. Being from Peru, I was pleasantly surprised. Ended up having 4! For dinner, i had the Causa and anticucho as appetizers, the ceviche mixto as a starter, and for the main meal I had lomo saltado. All dishes were tasty, perfect size, and reminded me of the best restaurants in Lima. It was an amazing gastronomic journey with classic peruvian dishes with elegant and innovative presentations. I decided to go spontaneously to Checa based on the reviews and was not disappointed. The dinning area looked cozy but was very full so I sat in the bar area where there was plenty of space, no reservation needed, and the bartender was always close to take orders and chat with guests.

This restaurant offers a comfortable and cozy environment due to its small size and the very friendly staff. My friend and I ordered the Peruvian chicken wings, Jumping Lomo (oxtail), Lima style ceviche, yucas, and pisco sours- everything was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place.
