Good hotel great location it's very old and certainly not for the mobility impaired in any way. Rooms are small. very nice wet room bathrooms very modern. Beds leave a lot to be desired very uncomfortable and low to the ground. Excellent breakfast great selection. Nice friendly helpful staff.

Charming and friendly hotel. I had my doubts about how comfortable a 300 year old building would be, but the hotel is wonderful. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff. Great breakfast, comfortable beds, and the best water pressure of any hotel I've ever stayed in. For a tourist, you cannot get a better location. You are a 2-10 minute walk from museums, shopping, and food of all sorts. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Such a nice cozy hotel. Rooms are ok size with basic necessities. A bit worn here and there but it just gives it more character. Room was quiet apart from a garbage truck one morning. Very friendly and helpful staff. Much better breakfast than your average scandic and the breakfast cheff is a funny guy who always makes your day better. Location of the hotel could not be better.

lovely hotel! We went during Christmas season, so the lobby was beautifully decorated. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the free breakfast in the morning was good. Although the room was a bit small, it was plenty of space for my friend and me - and the hotel's location was perfect, located not even a 2 minute walk away from the Gamla Stan stop on the metro. Made it very easy to get around when we were exploring areas outside of Gamla Stan. Overall a great stay, and not only would I absolutely stay here again, but I would recommend it to any traveler.

Sijainti hyvÀ. Kodikas hotelli. Huoneet pienehköjÀ, siistejÀ. Isompien hotellien palvelutarjonta puuttuu mutta sen korvaa hyvin toimiva, ystÀvÀllinen henkilökunta. Huoneen hintaan tarjolla oleva aamiainen on huippuluokkaa.

Wow! What a brilliant location!! Proudly the smallest Scandic in Europe but full of character and charm đŸ„° Special shout out to Oscar on breakfast - best Brekky EVA. Welcoming , warm, caring, attentive and proud to be offering his service and experience to guests. Highly recommend staying here đŸ‘đŸŒđŸ™

Really nice Scandic hotel located right in the old town. Rooms are not the modern Scandic style given it's an old building but they are lovely. Windows open though street can be noisy at night. If you want your room cleaned or towels changed during your stay you have to request at reception the night before. Also need to book your breakfast slot the night before as it's a smaller breakfast room. Good variety of breakfast, enjoyed the deviled eggs with caviar, herrings, smoothies. Location is excellent right in the old town within walking distance to plenty of restaurants as well as the metro station (tunnel bahn) and ferries to other islands. Great spot.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Disclaimer- the room is small. There's not really space to hang out in the room for long, but it's in a really great location right in old town Stockholm (Gamla Stan) with shops and restaurants all around. The neighborhood is really walkable (there are basically no cars), and we walked from the train station, which is not long but might be hard with luggage (we had backpacks). It was really quiet at the hotel, and we felt like we were the only ones there until we went down to breakfast and saw the room was full. And the breakfast is really great-- really great variety and high quality.

This is an old hotel in a great location, great staff and breakfast. The small bedroom we had was cold, but the staff gave us our own heater. The key to this place is it is a very good location for visiting Stockholm.

Great central location and friendly staff. Feels like an AirBNB experience but with professional hotel services.

Service was excellent, bathroom was a tad small but we didn't spend too much time in the room so it's ok. Very close to metro

SEQUESTERED FAVOURITE - Bathroom unrivaled! 4,1/5. Month of April. A charming historic building with a surprisingly wide staircase. Elevator included. A satisfyingly old-fashioned room overlooking the alley, with wooden furniture and period wall-paper. The best bathroom in the country. Fully modern with warm lighting and subdued colours. I almost pulled the bed in there to stay the night. Standard breakfast (with unremarkable bread) served in the white underground vaults. Soaking in the tub for hours on end, reading Fire From Heaven. A rewarding sleep. . VALUE 4 STANDARD 4 SLEEP QUALITY 4,5

In the heart of Gamla Stan and close to all shopping, restaurants and bars. Also a short water taxi over to museums and amusement park.

Room and bathroom were small. Not what I was expecting since we went through a travel agent. Furnishings were worn. Breakfast was good. Could not get WiFi on iPad due to unsecured network. Entry into bathroom was a 4 inch step up from room floor. Terrible tripping Hazzard for older people. No housekeeping available unless you request it.

A great place to stay in Gamlastan! The hotel is nicely located, not right on the busy streets, but conveniently close. Was fairly peaceful, despite being quite close to busy parts of the town. The rooms are elegant, although compact but not cramped (compact can certainly be expected in most parts in that location). I found my room to be very neat and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, although the addition of a few herrings (i.e. ‘sill’) for breakfast would have completed the experience. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Had been here a lot. Just a dream come true and LOCALISATION is a key. Very comfortable.

The hotel is overpriced for the quality of service (if you can even call this service). The rooms are very small and have open holes where something has been removed - since there is no airco you have to open the window and the street is quite noisy. The curtains seem not to have been cleaned in a long while there’s too much dust coming out when you close them. Cleaning service is only on request (which was not communicated upon arrival). The “minibar” is an empty fridge which definitely wasn’t cleaned after the last people left! Overall very disappointing stay!! Scandic Hotels never again!!!

Rooms are small but in very cute scandinavian style. Beds are very soft, slept quite good. The breakfast room doesn't have windows, but you get used to it after a couple days. Breakfast is quite good, staff always very friendly. It's worth eating early or later than usual to avoid too many people. Location is great, you can reach the metro and some piers in minutes. Definitely one of the best locations to explore the old town, visit the royal castle and many great museums and stores. There are plenty of restaurants to est lunch and dinner scattered around the Scandic in Gamla Stan. Insider tipp: visit the cute terrace on the roof! You can also go up there to eat breakfast or have a tea in the afternoon.

A hotel with historic Scandinavian style. Great breakfast included. Rooftop access available. This is a hotel with character. The rooms are charming with antique and old furniture. No air conditioning but was supplied with a fan. Good customer service.

This is the perfect place to stay in Stockholm. The room was small, but clean and nice. You can walk to historic sights, great food, bus and ferry stops and the train station. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in helping us figure out how to get around the city. A special shout-out to the Chef who made our stay extra special. The breakfast spread itself was amazing and delicious and the service was warm and friendly. After we inquired about what was gluten-free, he not only pointed out the prepared items that were, but he offered and prepared for us absolutely delicious gluten-free pancakes and muffins. Overall, a wonderful stay.
