Update July-22, still as good. Worth a detour if you are into tasting menus, regardless if you are a vegan or meat eater, it's just so good. Interesting, unique, wine pairings that you perhaps will not buy home but you learn something new and it matches the food. Original review: The best food we have eaten in a very long time. Delicious! We had the full five course tasting menu and every dish was fantastic.

Super yummy!! I wanted to take my husband who is vegan somewhere nice for our wedding anniversary and this was an obvious choice. They have a 5 course meal for 590sek which is totally worth it. Check this place out even if you’re not vegan/vegetarian!! The meal was served a bit slow so that’s my only complaint. We had a table in the room with the bar so our server was also the bartender. It was maybe a bit too much for them to handle all at once so we felt a little overlooked there in our corner. But otherwise fantastic food and super friendly staff!

Very small portions. Took a 5 course menu and could have taken another 5 since 1 course=1 tablespoon of food. Crazy expensive. On the brighter side, food itself was delicious!

Easily among the best vegan food I've ever eaten. Cool space, friendly & knowledgeable staff. We had the 5 course tasting menu and it was seasonal and contained some real winners like the Sunflower Seeds Ice Cream. The Semolina Porridge was also excellent. The beverage menu matches the food menu in terms of local focus and I enjoyed some really nice local brews with my food. Vegetarian and vegan fine-dining options are preciously few and far between, which makes a visit to Växhuset both enjoyable, but also necessary (simply to show support for such concepts).

Had the 5 course meal. Although the dishes were quite tasty and interesting, they were too similar. It's like having 4 courses of salad and dessert. Also some of the ingredients like the pickles and the sauce were quite salty. There was also a very noisy party next door so you can't hear the waitress properly. Overall a disappointing and expensive meal.

We tried the 5 courses meal and we weren’t exactly full! The food was tasty but too much repetition in the flavors, same ingredients over and over and the main course wasn’t special. I enjoyed the desert though. The place has cool and cozy vibes to it but it is located near a stadium and too bad for us there was a match at the same time of our dinner reservation. There was too much noise from the crowds that I couldn’t hear my own thoughts sometimes!

Dining at Växthuset was such a memorable experience during our time visiting Stockholm. We made a reservation and the staff were still able to seat us early, but we first got to enjoy a non-alcoholic mocktail in the bar area, which was delicious! We opted for the 7-course tasting menu that was full of fresh, local and in-season plant-based ingredients. I’ve seen some reviews talk about how small the portions are, but to me they are very realistic for a tasting menu, and still incredibly full of flavor. The staff were so friendly and made our anniversary dinner even more special.

Everything tasted delicious. Appreciate restaurants providing vegan tasting menus. Portion size were a bit small for our liking. Gave lower rating for service coz I made a personal request while booking online, but they didn’t even know about it (what’s the point of asking for comments/requests while booking then).

We took the 5 course meal with the alcohol-free drink package and it was amazing! The first two appetizers was especially amazing and i scraped my plate clean after the 2nd one (it was Baked beetroots, roasted beetroot leafs with fermented garlic pesto, yeast emulsion, yellow beetroot crisp, blackberries) They change their meals depending on season and I will definitely be back in autumn to try another menu! Also service was great! (Fyi: The restaurant is in/right next to a nightclub, which made a cool atmosphere but should be considered if you’re sensitive to noise)

What a fun-filled journey it was to experience their plant based set menu! I fell in love with ingredients I could never predict could be so exciting - spruce branch, dried moss, smoked juniper, buckthorn... and they all tasted STUNNING! This menu has many pleasant surprises and is delicious! Definitely worth a visit. It was excellent - will come back.

This restaurant is an experience that everyone with a mouth should have at least once in their lives. Ethical, local, and so delicious. If you are looking for something to do on that slightly special occasion, this is it. I wholly recommend the 5 course menu, the cooks know their craft, and you don't want to miss what they come up with. Also, do yourself the favor of getting a good wine to go with that, the (Georgian white) wine we took tasted unique. Minor Negatives: - at times conflicting music from the place below/next door, but totally bearable - The washrooms and toilets could have been better Verdict: 4.8

The food is nice but very small portions and not that good to motivate that hefty price for a set menu. Service is a bit arrogant and not so helpful. It's a pity that Stockholm doesn't deliver better on the vegan scene.

Amazing. This is my second visit, and we had the tasting menu this time. Both the drinks and the food are excellent, the different flavors are so we'll thought through and combined. Can't recommend highly enough.

Excellent vegan cuisine. The taster menu gives you seven courses, on their own they aren't too filling but after five you will feel it. Every option was a unique combination of flavours that the chef had put a lot of imagination and creativity into.

I visited with a big group of foodies and we all enjoyed the atmosphere of this quite unique place. The service was excellent. I liked the food a lot but some others appreciated the desert most. Someone thought one dish was a bit too oily. Most of us thought it would have been nicer not having to share everything from large dishes, especially considering the high price, but I can see the wisdom and sustainability in this, it is certainly easier for smaller groups. Definitely different and a place to visit as often as one can afford.

We got the full tasting menu and we were really disappointed. While the presentation was beautiful, the flavor was really lacking. Not to mention, the portions were so small we had to go to another restaurant immediately after leaving this place. For reference, I am a 98lb (~45kg) woman…and this was not enough food for me. Moreover, this is an odd venue for a “high-end” restaurant and it could have been kept up better (even the power plugs were cracked/broken…can’t they replace them?). The bathrooms had signs on each stall saying “only one person in each stall at all times please”. Seriously? What goes on here? I don’t want to know. I wouldn’t call this a high-end restaurant. Even the service was not comparable to other high-end places I’ve been. I wouldn’t eat here again.

The food is amazing, delicate and I highly recommend it. We can tell the chef is passionate. However, the service can be improved, especially at check in and at table setting and the restaurant can be very loud, especially at after hours (a night club opens at 22:30 next door).

We tried the 5 courses meal, the 2 first courses were interesting, but nothing special for the third one, while the main course was way too sour. The dessert was good. But also, the portions are really small, and the concept of sharing a plate doesn’t allow you to experience the meal how it’s served (you mix all the flavors while dispatching it in individual plates). And it’s too expensive for such an experience.

My best vegan restaurant experience in Stockholm. Definitely recommend their tasting menu!

Good vegan restaurant. Service excellent and food tasty. Toilets unclean. Quite pricy with some 90Usd pp for 5 course taste menu ...

We had the rather expensive vegan tasting menu. 7 courses of which I only enjoyed 3. The waitress explained what we were eating with each course but I only managed to hear one or two ingredients. I would have preferred a written list. The dessert was delicious. Rather strange venue too.

First vegan dinner in my life! It was my sister’s birthday and we picked the 5-course menu. Totally amazing food!

So the neighbourhood might not seem like much - but the food at this restaurant is beyond good. It was a treat to be surprised yet again (positively) by vegan cuisine. The pairing, presentation and flavours were a delight. We had the three course menu and it was all very well made, with great attention to finesse and flair. Yes they can tweak their interiors, yes they can tweak their entrance and most def yes they can tweak the dessert. I took one start away because I know (living with a vegan) that there are other amazing desserts for a vegan meal than just a sorbet.

The place to go to when you are searching for real good vegan food. The staff is nice and knows their food

Visited last weekend. The food was mostly great (highlight) and the 5 course menu came with a wine pairing that was good but not spectacular. Even though the staff was friendly enough to chat afterwards, we really thought the service was way off for most of the night. Being seated took long and once we got a table there was no interaction to speak of with the waitress, no welcome, no explanations, none of that. We experienced unclear and irregular waiting times between dishes, with the wines sometimes not being timed well either. It also seems that we got the late shift and cleaning up started already around us near the end of our visit. We love supporting plant-based food initiatives, but for these prices there is more to gastronomy than good food, hence the 3/5 stars.
