Beautiful classic interior with view over the waters. Friendly staff. The afternoon tea beatifully served. The flavours unfortunately not that remarkable. The scones were good though with nice butter flavour.

Really nice view. Food is good. The mixed herring plate is superb. The Planstek was perfectly cooked, but to small...The bouillabaisse was nice with great aioli. Service was a bit slow and it took way to long between starter & main. We didn't get the time for coffee and dessert due to this...Friendly and helpful staff. Would like to return in summer/spring.

Great location, excellent service and spectacular food. One of the best meals I've had in Sweden. Their "plankstek" is pure perfection. I don't think it's possible to make this dish any better. All ingredients are served and cooked flawlessly. Highly recommend. We'll be coming back.

Nice place especially when the weather is good. I had the spinach pie with salad and quite enjoyed it.

One of the best vegetarian meals I’ve had in Sweden - delicious chanterelles and root vegetables. The service and location are also top notch.

Beautiful part of the city, the garden is especially lovely in the summer. Lovely menu, (although the fish and chips dish, the fish was disappointing, and dry) There is a car park not far from restaurant, but very expensive. The restaurant is also near the water, good for a picturesque walk in both directions.

It's an established eatery renowned for its Plankstek (steak on a plank). I dined there on a frigid winter day, enduring minus 16 degrees outdoors, yet inside, the temperature only reached plus 17 degrees. It's advisable to visit in milder weather or don warm attire. The cuisine is delightful, but the service was moderate; unfortunately, we weren't able to sample the wine before the waiter poured our glasses.

Having a dinner on a Sunday evening was a great choice. Not very crowded and the ambience was perfect for a date night. Attentive waiters and delicious food. We have so far only been here during summer on their patio, but now ee will definitely be coming back during the darker and colder days as well.

Went to a Christmas dinner buffet and everything was amazing except the meatballs. Plenty of food which was replenished very quickly. Fish, cold cuts, warm food with meat and a dessert table that was super long. The logistics were very clever with two or more ways so the queues were short even though the restaurant was filled to the last chair. I highly recommend going here for Christmas dinner. The Jansson’s temptation was one of the best I’ve ever had, if not the best, par my grandmothers’ and my mother’s, of course. :) The snaps was on the expensive side, so I’d skip that and just have lovely wine instead.

On a business trip to Stockholm, our group visited Villa Godthem for an evening meal. We had a number of different dishes, starters and mains. All the dishes were well cooked and presented, the food tasted excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent, we were attended by one person who ensured we were well looked after. The setting and atmosphere of the restaurant is also lovely. It was a week night so quite than I imagine than a weekend. Overall a great experience. I would definitely recommend.

I cannot possibly say enough about how great this restaurant is. Every time we visit Stockholm, my fiancé and entire family and I go and have a meal here. Not only is the service exceptional (they really make you feel welcome and wanted there), the food is expertly cooked. My fiancé was absolutely astounded by how great the Plankstek was- he says he's already ready to go back to Stockholm just so he can have it again! Desserts are all amazing too, and they have a great wine list (really great champagne options). We'll be back soon!

We went there for afternoon tea, apart from a few pieces that were not so tasty, it was good overall. However, the personnel asked us in the beginning if we would like still or gas water and they neither mentioned, nor was it somewhere written that it is charged extra. And thinking that the afternoon tea was already on the border of being considered overpriced...that seemed a bit too much. Good restaurant in general though.

A month ago we ate at Villa Godthem. It is a delightful place and we had a wonderful meal. I've never had lobster bisque-but it was delicious on a cool day. And as a sill lover the sill appetizer was fantastic.

Lovely restaurant/lounge. The indoor restaurant is a traditional old style Swedish restaurant. The food is good and the service is great. During the summer they have a lovely outdoor lounge with a bar and a separate kitchen for the lounge. Its beautifully located and a real treat!

Beautiful garden seating right in front of the lake. Perfect for a summer afternoon. Outside area is self-service. I had the salad with asparagus and avocado and the meatballs. Both were tasty and fresh. Meatballs are the signature Stockholm dish :)

I strongly recommend to read the menu for afternoon tea before booking. Their excellent traditional afternoon tea which I considered to be the best in Stockholm has been replaced with something totally removed from what your expectations for an afternoon tea should be. Scones were replaced by something else which was OK but the rest was a complete disaster. Having enjoyed afternoon tea here on several occasions before my disappointment with the development is hard to express in polite terms. Unfortunately I will need to find somewhere else willing to serve the more traditional afternoon tea. 😪

Sehr gutes Essen in gutem Ambiente.

Very classic Swedish restaurant, their pickled herring is good, they are known for main course served on a wooden plank, of which the Cod was excellent. Update: still a classic.. tried the plank ribeye, excellent.

I like the terrace and the view of the garden, especially in the summertime. The food is traditional Swedish / International, very well made on excellent ingredients. The place is well worth a visit when in Stockholm.

Good food, hard to choose as most sounds yummy. Good service at the beginning but slowed down towards the end. It also felt like they wanted you to select the most expensive. I had the fish and flavours were not anything special. Toilets were very cold and small

The Julborg was like nothing Ive ever experienced before. So much food and so little time or room to eat it all. No one told me to take a tiny bit of each thing. But like one bite. Taste it all and then go back for the things that made your taste buds sing. This is what I did and even so, 5 plates later + dessert, I didnt have any room for anything more. EVERYTHING tasted amazing. Some flavors I liked better then others, but nothing I ate was bad. I would definitely do this again.

Had a nice dinner. Not too expensive, could have eaten a bit more. Also a little pushy on taking the menu. Fast serving.

Thought I would try this restaurant as I was staying in Stockholm over the Christmas period. Booked for the traditional Swedish Christmas Buffet priced at SEK 795 per head. In my opinion a little overpriced what the buffet food offered. Can't fault the service and ambiance of the place in a great location close to Rosendals Gardens.

I have eaten dinner here in the past & can say the food is excellent. This time we just had fika in the outdoor café. The coffee is good & the cakes are delicious! Another place I love in Stockholm.

Great place. We had a table on the veranda, which belongs to the a la carte restaurant. Great food and service. They also have a more laid-back garden with self-service.

Great interior, food was good and bread fresh and tasty. Service was good and fast. Fairly priced considering the great location.
