The place is amazing.. I have been here multiple times . I went here with a person from Cameron and Sudan. They were very happy with the food served. The food was very tasty from my perspective.. I had ordered the vegetarian options from there ... It almost felt like home for me ( was very similar to Indian food to be honest ) . I was surprised at how accurately the person brought the food after the order as they didn't make any notes when 8 of us ordered ... 🤣 The place offered great food, service was nice and the decorations gave an amazing vibe. Note : The reservation you make may not matter as the place doesn't look at it at all... You have the old fashioned way of arriving early and awaiting your turn..

I made a reservation at this restaurant for mother's day and my experience at this restaurant was terrible. When I arrived at the restaurant they didn't even had my reservation written anywhere and I had with me my wife and my 2 years old baby to celebrate mother's day. After having few conversations with hostess or server they tried to find us a table and we got located with a group who where very noisy and loud. My little baby was very distracted, we can't even hear each other it was so loud. I ask if they can relocate me and there was no response to my request, they didn't even bother to come to see us to take our order for almost 15 minutes and I had to go to the bar to ask if there is anyone serving and finally the server came to see us and took our order. After ordering the food it took one hour to get our food and there was no apology or nothing. The food wasn't something spectacular, it was just okay. This restaurant is not family friendly and I wouldn't recommend to a family especially someone who has kids. I'll never visit this restaurant nor recommend to anyone. I worked in food industry for long time this is the worst experience I ever had. To keep a good customers you need to respect their request.

Very tasty Ethiopian food! Highly recommend, especially if you’ve never tried before. I’ve been for both dine-in and take-away (to-go). If you’re not sure what to order, I recommend getting one of the Beyeayenetu plates (meat or veggie) under Huvudrätter, so you can try a sampling of various things. Definitely enough to feed 2 people in my opinion. Be prepared to eat with your hands (saw a lady using a rubber glove last time, so brilliant). Restaurant is fairly large with lots of tables. Great decor and lively atmosphere. Service is friendly, though maybe a little slow at first. But it was quite busy.

For an Indian it would remind of Ragi Dosa and subji meal. Must try for all spice lovers!

amazing food! Highly recommend. We had the first 2 on the main course menu and both came in REALLY big portions and good taste. The bread (which is what’s lying beneath the food in the picture) was steamed and hence soft. The slight sourness goes well with the spiciness in the food. We also tired the Ethiopian wine Tej. If you like honey drinks like I do, you should definitely order it. Too bad we were almost the only ‘non-Ethiopian’ table that night in the restaurant. Stockholmers are missing out good food ;)

With a group of friends we visited this restaurant. The food was really good and it has a good and fair price. All our dietary restrictions were no problem, there are for example vegan and gluten-free options. I would give 5 stars if the service would have been better. We asked for water to drink and we only received 2 glasses for 6 people. It took a long time waiting at the bar to get the glasses. Also, with ordering food or extra drinks it took a long time to get help.

Pretty good Ethiopian/Eritrean food. Most of their dishes are spicy. Maybe not so much mean in there but great tastes. They had a mix plate with different stews which I would recommend resting with their fermented injera bread. They speak Swedish but there can be some difficulties with communication. I wanted to know if they had lactose in their food aka fiery products but they couldn’t answer that. Lucky for for you I had the food which is oily (that’s fine that’s how the food is made) and I understood a few hours later that the oil was in fact butter. Very good nonetheless!

I recently dined at an Ethiopian restaurant, and initially, we had some communication difficulties, but they were quickly resolved. The food was incredibly delicious, made with high-quality ingredients. I opted for the vegan main course with various small dishes. I've had Ethiopian cuisine before, but this experience was exceptional. The injera was exceptionally well-made and very fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Been here several times and the food is always amazing! Consistent and tasty. You might have to wait to get a table, but once seated, the service is really nice. Everyone is polite and serve with a smile. A nice place to go in a group so you can eat their huge special platter! Highly recommend Gojo.

Gojo Hornstull is, at the moment of writing, the best Ethiopian/Eritrean restauran in Stockholm, possibly all of Scandinavia. It's stands a head above the competition. Their food is authentic and makes you feel like you're actually eating at a professional restaurant and not something homemade. The tsebhis/wots are properly spiced, the flavours deep. They don't bother adjusting anything to better fit the Swedish pallette, this is as authentic as it gets. Hope this is not just due to a particularly talented cook but rather that they can scale this winning formula and scale further elsewhere, hopefully North of town. This restaurant is often crowded with people

Today was second time visiting and had to leave the place without ordering. The food is so great and the atmosphere is good/clean. If you are OK for being disrespected by that one female waitress this is definitely the right place to experience Ethiopian food.

Amazing food. My friend is well versed in Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine. He took me here to experience excellent Ethiopian food. I had tried Injera before and really liked it. But here, everything was on another level. The vegeterian dishes, the honey wine and the coffee were a delight. Another plus is the chance to eat with your hands. I. Love. It. Right down my alley. I can't wait to try this type of food again.

The food is amazing, but it took a really long time until we got service. Probably 20 min until we even got water on the table. The temperature in the restaurant was way to hot too.

They have vegan sambusa and a vegan platter on their menu that are absolutely delightful. Definitely our favourite Ethiopian place in Stockholm!

Food is amazing, best Kitfo ever. The reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because there's not enough room in the restaurant. When it's full you get very hot in there and sometimes it's difficult too pass through.

Food is a bit pricey but good overall. Drinks are on the cheap side. Service a bit slow during rush hour.

Delicious authentic ethopian food. We ordered a large platter to share which contained beef, chicken and lentils. A must go with close friends and family

I regret to say that our food was completely cold. After we complained they took our plates away and after a while brought the same plates back with no change in temperature. We asked to talk to the chef but they wouldn’t let us see this person. I suspect there was no chef there at all and the food was either barely reheated or brought to the restaurant from another location. It was unfortunately a terrible experience that I couldn’t recommend to anyone.

Not recommended at all. We got a cold meal and kindly ask the personal to warm it for us. We got the same cold order back in a couple of minutes. We asked to have a word with a chef but we were told he can not go out of the kitchen. Very disappointing.

Very good injera! The lighting is a bit too bright but good and prices incredible. Two dishes on a shared plate is enough for three

It's an Ethiopian restaurant. The food is super good, the service is amazing. The place has also an Ethiopian beer (try that)
