Nice little spot to unwind and let the kids play at the playground and splash pad. Beautiful cacti and the area is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Nice little get-away.

A beautiful desert garden, nice to see lots of cacti, water features and sitting areas in the shade. Beautiful at dusk too, nicely illuminated.

Beautiful cactus gardens with many different varieties! The upkeep is impeccable and perfectly manicured. There is a designated dog friendly area and the also have a kids playground. Playground consists of slides, monkey bars, a small rock wall and jungle gym. This area is great to visit and there is plenty of awesome photo ops.

Small but nice. Especially nice is the su dial with the time instruction. Day before Eastern Sunday, Care Free has beautiful weather and the desert is blooming. Nearby Spanish village is cute. Walked by the older building with antique shops which is a sharp contrast to the newer buildings and the architecture style of the botanical garden. Hope those old buildings will not be torn down so that the area showcases the evolution of Care Free.

First time I visited. I brought my niece here. We both loved the gardens and the huge sun dial. I'm glad I discovered the Gardens.

Needed to waste some time and took a drive and found this oasis. Cactus from all over the world, many not common near Phoenix. The Carefree Sundial located here is something to awe over. What time was I there? When were you? Great stop!

Amazing farmer's/art market in Fridays. And the shops surrounding the address are great. Unique southwest and modern art asking with custom jewelry. It's about 60 miles from SE Mesa but I go up there about every other week.

What a beautiful place! Had adorable little shops, a great choice of restaurants and cafes, and such a nice atmosphere. I wish it wasn't so hot (Arizona in July, my fault), but we really enjoyed walking around here and seeing the cacti.

Lovely place for a stroll. Free botanical gardens with a large sundial. It is better in early to late morning when not a lot of people are there. They also have a great kids' park.

Very relaxing place to visit ....about 1/2 drive from N Phoenix. Gentle easy walking area and shaded areas to sit. Children's play area and shaded water play area too. Cactus gardens just coming into bloom. Easy to find the gardens. Restaurants art galleries and gift shops around the perimeter which are fun to visit. It's free .... worth a visit. Head out to Cave Creek as well ... again about 1/2 drive back to N Phoenix

Nice place for a stroll with or without your pup. Beautiful collection of cacti and succulents to admire, lots of nearby shops and restaurants and very nice and clean public restrooms.

Went to see the sun dial. It was really nice to see. Spent some time visiting the art galleries and the restaurants around look nice.

Nice place to just stroll through and see nicely arranged native plants. Was somewhat confusing to locate for an out of towner because it's basically in the middle of a shopping and hotel area and the signage was confusing. Enjoyed the displays they were nicely arranged.

A really nice quiet place to bring the family to reflect and explore.

The place looks very inviting. Unfortunately, we had traveled 40 miles to see an event that was advertised on a website that has not been there since 2019. That was very disappointing. The advertisement for the Enchanted Pumpkin Garden needs to be taken down. We were not the only people who arrived to find the event was not active. VERY POOR COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION.
