Temple premises neat and clean. Parking space available nearby gates @₹50 per day. Steps to get rahu-ketu pooja done in the temple. 1) Wake up early around 5:45 am to have royal and grand darshan inside the temple. 2) For rahu-ketu pooja based on your comfortable timings take the ticket before 30mins of the pooja time no need fo hurry and stand in the que. 3) I took for 500 rs ticket and I enjoyed maximum satisfaction of the pooja. 4) At the end of the pooja temple people collect 101₹ in form of kanike Points to remember where preist doesn’t say you these rules * preganant women( more than 5 months )are not allowed * always couple are preferred for the pooja * Dont take any sought of pooja items along with you.

The crowd management was not proper by the concerned authorities. There were many middle man inside the premises who were offering direct entry services (kind of back door entry) by charging some fee, while there's no action on those illegal entries. These should be banned in the premises. Rest the experience was good.

One of the must visit ancient temples in India. This is located close by to Tirupati and is famous for Vayu linga (one among the 5 in the country), Rahu Ketu Pooja, and multiple other ancient hindu dharmas. When planning for Rahu ketu pooja, don’t buy anything from outside. Just walk inside, buy a ticket (500,750,1500,2500 or 5000). I bought 1500, which was less crowded and spacious attention for a pooja. Decide which suits the best. And please don’t go with all rumours - simple dressing is advisable (pant, shirt or shirt dhoti or kurta for men and saree or Simple traditional dresses work well). Temple is neatly maintained but slightly disorganised in heavy rush times. Prasadam is too good. Must try ladoo and pulihora here.

We visited the temple on a Sunday Morning and we encountered a heavy rush as who visits tirumala will visit SriKalahasti Temple !!! It took us nearly 1 hr to complete the darshan as we have taken special entry tickets which cost us 200 per person... The temple is well maintained and It is one of the ancient Shiva Temples in Southern India. The temple is famous for its Vayu lingam !!! It has many stories connected to it: 1. In ancient days there was an devotee named "Kannappa" who was ready to offer both of his eyes to cover the blood flowing from the Siva linga and by seeing his love towards shiva the mighty lord appeared infront of him. 2. It is also said that a Spider, a Snake and an Elephant fought with each other while trying to decide who should pray first and eventually died, Lord Shiva appeared and granted them mukti and named this holy place after them ( Sri = Spider; Kala = Snake; Hasti = Elephant) Many people also visit this place for Rahu - Ketu poojas and Sarpa dosha nivaharana. These are usually done to those people who has rahu and sarpa dosha in there lives so that there marriages can happen quickly and they can live a happy life.

The Srikalahasti Temple is a mesmerizing pilgrimage destination nestled amidst the picturesque beauty of Andhra Pradesh, India. This ancient Hindu temple holds significant historical and religious importance, drawing devotees from all over the world. Having recently visited this sacred site, I can attest to the divine aura and spiritual charm it exudes. Architectural Marvel: The first thing that strikes visitors is the awe-inspiring architecture of the Srikalahasti Temple. The intricate carvings, towering gopurams (ornate entrance towers), and majestic sculptures are a testament to the artistic brilliance of the ancient craftsmen. The temple's Dravidian-style architecture is a sight to behold, leaving one captivated by its grandeur and intricate detailing. Spiritual Significance: Srikalahasti Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is revered as one of the Panchabhoota Sthalas, representing the five elements of nature. The temple is associated with Vayu (Wind), one of the primary elements, making it a unique and spiritually potent place. Devotees believe that seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva here can bring relief from various afflictions, especially related to health and mental well-being. The Vayu Lingam: The highlight of the temple is undoubtedly the Vayu Lingam, representing the element of air. Pilgrims are awestruck by the divine energy emanating from this sacred idol. The temple's inner sanctum is dimly lit, creating a serene ambiance that encourages introspection and meditation. Rahu-Ketu Pooja: Another remarkable ritual that takes place at Srikalahasti Temple is the Rahu-Ketu Pooja. This powerful ceremony is believed to ward off the malefic effects of the planets Rahu and Ketu, as per Vedic astrology. Devotees seeking astrological remedies throng to participate in this ritual and find solace in the divine presence. Devotional Atmosphere: One cannot help but be moved by the profound sense of devotion and spirituality that permeates the air within the temple premises. The collective prayers, the rhythmic chants, and the aromatic incense create an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony. Even for those not deeply religious, the ambience is undeniably soothing and uplifting. Cultural Heritage: Srikalahasti Temple is not just a place of worship; it is also a repository of cultural heritage. The temple has witnessed centuries of history and is adorned with captivating mythological stories and legends. Local guides are available to narrate these captivating tales, making the visit a truly enriching experience. Facilities and Accessibility: The temple administration deserves praise for maintaining cleanliness and providing essential facilities for pilgrims. Restrooms, drinking water, and shoe storage facilities are available, ensuring visitors' comfort during their spiritual journey. Cautions: As with any crowded pilgrimage site, it is essential to be mindful of personal belongings and cautious of pickpockets. It is also advisable to dress modestly, as the temple authorities may enforce a dress code. Additionally, during peak seasons or special occasions, the temple can get quite crowded, so planning the visit accordingly is recommended. Conclusion: In conclusion, Srikalahasti Temple is an enchanting destination that blends spiritual serenity with artistic brilliance. Whether you are a devout seeker of divine blessings or a traveler eager to explore India's cultural and religious heritage, this temple promises an unforgettable experience. The spiritual aura, architectural splendor, and profound significance make Srikalahasti a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an encounter with the divine.

Temple is very famous for a few Poojas like rahu-kethu sarpa dosha nivarana, rudrabhikhesham, Chandi homam, rudra homam and other pujas.. if we know any of the pujaris in the temple, we can get special attention by spending a little amount.

Very well managed facilities. You have the parking lot right at the entrance. Leaving your footwear at the counter you can ascend the stairs to the temple. Each steps are unusually high and you will feel this while returning. Old age people have to be carefully assisted.

Srikalahasti Temple is a beautiful and famous Shiva temple that is worth visiting, especially for those who are interested in Hinduism and its rich history. The temple is also conveniently located near the Tirupati Temple, which is another popular attraction in the area.

I visited the temple once, and that visit took place on September 7th, 2023. After my visit to Tirumala, I planned to come here, and it was a wonderful devotional experience. The temple's interior was well-maintained. I would suggest improving the surroundings outside to create a more peaceful entrance for newcomers.

Good temple. VIP Entrance is best we can visit lord shiva within 30 mins. The mobiles weren’t allowed inside, so it’s better if we keep our mobiles in cars or hotels. There is a nearby place where they collect mobile but that places keeps us in doubt whether our mobile will be safe. So it’s best if we don’t carry your mobile. Temple is surrounded by n number of hotels, so you can book directly but they might charge high also. Better ask for rates and compare and then stay. Top view of Shiva statue is good. You have to climb hard.

We have a separate paid parking space for the cars. The cost for 50rs. There are huge crowds all the time due to the Pooja's that are being carried out for each Astrology sign. They will take our mobile 📱 for the fees amount of 15 - 20rs each and keep it. The temple is very huge and has many entrances. They also provide free food for the people. There is ticket 🎫 fees of 50rs each to entire into the special darshan due to the crowd but all the people get into one line at the end. There is nothing special about buying the tickets. All priests are begging for money which is not at all good. It's very bad attitude. I personally didn't like this temple that much..

Definitely visit place to all. We got the accomodation near hills which was very peaceful and beautiful. It was around 6am place was filled with snow. It was so beautiful to watch clouds passing by. There was a rabbit farm spent very good time with the Little ones. Carry normal corn or carrot to feed them. Has play items for kids. Good park with green grass. Overall it's a fantastic place to be at.

Its a great place for all shiva devotees! The temple reflects the ancestral construction prowess and the spiritual feeling inside the temple premises is great. They have now decorated the steps on to the top, and the lighting at night is a wonderful. I wish the roads leading to the temple are maintained better, as it is stil not up to the mark and could be an inconvenience. Otherwise, everything here is just awesome.🙂

Very crowded place. Try to keep your footwears in your car only. Chances of theft there. We lost my sister's branded shoes there. Getting inside the temple is not easy. People will push you in. Rahu Ketu Pooja is the special Pooja there. We had a bad experience that myself, my wife, my brother, his wife and daughter were there. We took two tickets but only four of us were allowed in the Pooja. Where as we have seen the locals were allowed without any restriction. This was quite unfortunate. We have requested the guy at the gate. He was so arrogant. Then my brother has to go out. Felt very bad. Such a long way we came there. This is a temple. They should not do this. A family of three should be allowed in one ticket. We went there to perform Pooja. Not for entertainment. Authorities should be taken care of this.

I had visited Rameswaram, Kanchipuram and Thiruvannamalai and never had any bad experience.. Temple looks very good but the mgmt us very very poor. No proper organising, crwd mgmt and the authorities don't even care. We have been waiting for more than 90 mins and the queue hardly move. Don't try to take baby or old aged with you, it ll be a mess. We were crushed and pushed to the limits., such a horrible experience I had here. Hope the AP govt takes some steps to preserve this sacred site

Very much crowded place, nobody wears mask here (don't know why), too hot place. The temple staffs including the priests are very nice people, they help you with best way possible. Early morning Puja is the best as there will be less crowd.

U need to take a token n leave it behind- its safe...please take the little path veering to left right after u exit temple: however it's for someone who is fit- what's waiting for after sweating buckets? Spectacular view n more spiritual connection. Mind you, for we saivas : this is a historical site. Check up Kannappa nayanar..
