Tokyo Skytree is a must go place if you are visiting Tokyo! Really cool area lot of cool stuff to see and do around sky tree lots of gift shops and a mall too. The Skytree itself is awesome usually there is a little bit of a wait 30-60 minutes to go up but it is worth the wait. Maybe if you go on a weekday it might be better I’ve always gone on weekends. Very fun trip and thing to do. Awesome view of Tokyo and on a clear day Yokohama as well. Very awesome pictures and shows how big Tokyo really is which is very impressive, it seems like buildings keep going as far as you can see. Very cool definitely go to the top of you ever get a chance very fun and awesome views of Tokyo.

My visit to the Tokyo Skytree was nothing short of mesmerizing. Rising elegantly against the Tokyo skyline, it stands as a symbol of innovation and modernity. During the day, the panoramic views from the observation decks were simply breathtaking. I could see Tokyo stretching out endlessly in every direction, with its maze of streets and towering buildings creating a vibrant tapestry below. As night fell, the Skytree transformed into a dazzling spectacle of lights. The cityscape sparkled and shimmered, and I was captivated by the beauty of Tokyo illuminated against the dark sky. The Skytree itself was adorned with colorful lights, adding to the magical ambiance of the evening. One of the highlights of my visit was staying in a nearby hotel, which offered unparalleled views of the Skytree. Witnessing its majestic presence both during the day and at night allowed me to appreciate its architectural brilliance from different perspectives. Overall, my experience at the Tokyo Skytree was unforgettable. It's not just a towering structure but a symbol of Tokyo's dynamism and spirit. Whether day or night, the Skytree offers an enchanting glimpse into the heart of this bustling metropolis.

We arrived here about an hour before our ticketed time and had early bird tickets and scan the code and went in, such an easy process. I had used the official Skytree website as the travel websites didn't have the right time slots available. The views at the first stop, 350m, were spectacular. And then we went up to 450m and wow! We got to see MT Fuji in the distance against the sunset.a lot of people crowding for photos but we managed to get a decent view and it was well worth it.

Highly recommend spending the 3100¥ on the combo ticket to go all the way up! The views are stunning! I recommend going before sunset ti get daytime views and watch the sun set in Mt. Fuji! Being able to see the other mountains were stunning backdrops to the vast Tokyo city! There are maps in English and Japanese so you can join what areas you're looking on. We paid using a machine with credit card the day of, no wait onna Friday afternoon. Plenty of bathrooms on each floor. There are 2 cafes, I recommend the one where you can have a seat and enjoy the view on the lowest floor before you exit.

For those that visit Tokyo, the sky tree is amazing.... It's truly a must see!

  • 5/5 Sam B. 5 months ago on Google
The structure itself is stunning and the views are the best I've yet seen from an observation tower of this kind. Being able to get a 360 degree view of the entire city is wild. I came at night and it was amazing to see the city lit up, I imagine sunset would also be beautiful though busy. There was also a random jazz band playing and they were really good. I definitely suggest getting the combination ticket that gets you access to the deck at 350 and 450 meters. You can go back to the 350 after going to the 450 deck as well. There's a small cafe and bar on the 350 level as well.

Soaring High Above Tokyo: A Review of the Tokyo Skytree The Tokyo Skytree, a titan among skyscrapers, is more than just a towering structure. It's an experience that offers breathtaking views, interactive exhibits, and a glimpse into the heart of Tokyo. Reaching for the Clouds The ascent is swift and smooth, whisking you up to the first observation deck at 350 meters. Here, sprawling panoramas greet you. On a clear day, you might even spot Mount Fuji in the distance! Interactive touchscreens identify landmarks, making it easy to navigate the cityscape. Going Higher for a Different Perspective For the truly adventurous (and those willing to pay a bit extra), the Tembo Gallery at 450 meters provides an unparalleled perspective. Ascend a slowly inclining spiral ramp, soaking in the ever-changing vista. A Feast for the Senses Both observation decks feature restaurants and cafes, perfect for grabbing a drink or a meal with a million-dollar view. Take a break and savor the unique atmosphere. A Touch of Modernity and Tradition The Skytree complex integrates seamlessly with the surrounding area. Explore the shops and restaurants of Tokyo Skytree Town, or take a stroll through the nearby traditional neighborhoods. Things to Consider While the views are undoubtedly impressive, the Tokyo Skytree can get crowded, especially during peak season. Purchasing tickets in advance can help avoid long lines. The Verdict The Tokyo Skytree is a must-visit for anyone seeking a panoramic perspective of this electrifying metropolis. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor, the Skytree offers an unforgettable experience. Here's a quick summary: Breathtaking views, especially on a clear day Interactive exhibits to identify landmarks Option for two observation decks at different heights Restaurants and cafes with stunning views Can get crowded, especially during peak season I hope this review helps you decide if the Tokyo Skytree is a worthwhile addition to your Tokyo itinerary!

Expensive, but so worth it! Perfect for families and dates with loved ones. There are plenty of photo opportunities to be had here and the views are simply marvelous. Sunset is the best time to be here. Children under 5 are admitted free. There is a sky bar with snacks, ice creams and yummy cocktails. The Tropical cocktail was quite nice at 634 meters up!

Tokyo Skytree offers a breathtaking experience with panoramic views of the city, and the reasonable ticket prices make it an accessible attraction. The observation decks provide a stunning outlook, and the architectural design impresses, making it a must-see destination in Tokyo. While crowds are common and can impact the overall experience, the Skytree remains a remarkable symbol of the city's skyline.

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was really fun and exciting, but also very busy. It’s a super tall tower in Tokyo that lots of people want to see. When I got there, I saw a long line of people waiting to buy tickets. But, I found out that buying tickets online is smarter because you don’t have to wait as long. You still have to get your tickets from a machine when you arrive, but it saves you about half an hour of standing in line. The place was packed with people, but they have a good system for getting everyone up to the top. There are several elevators that take you up to where you can see the views. And wow, the views are amazing! You can see all over Tokyo from up there. There’s even a higher spot you can go to for even better views. For those who like taking photos, this is a great place. You can get some really nice shots of the city. They also have a special elevator for people in wheelchairs, which is really thoughtful. Plus, there’s a place to grab some food and even a service where professionals can take your photo. The only not-so-great part is how crowded it gets. But other than that, going to Tokyo Skytree is a lot of fun and something I think everyone should do if they visit Tokyo.

Animated" is perhaps the best word to describe Tokyo. Crazy about its anime, Japan's mega city is constantly buzzing with movement – feet clacking down sidewalks, cars zooming along streets, subway trains humming below ground, ships cruising in and out. And yet bright lights and loud signs beg you to pause, to break your motion for just one second to pray (oops, we mean pay) at the altar of consumerism. This is a city that feeds on motion and progress. But when you want to stop in Tokyo, the city will certainly make it worth your while. The tech-savvy locals may whizz past the monuments and urban parks daily (except during the cherry blossom season when everyone floods the green space), but, we assure you, the museums and historical sites are world-class. Here, there are photos to be taken, sushi to be eaten and a lot of shopping to be done. So what are you waiting for? You better get a move on.

Tokyo Sky tree is the second tallest tower and this one is the nice place to visit and normally it is crowded and less crowd will be there in weekdays. It has nice connectivity with rail network and it has a high speed lift to go to the top. From the top site seeing view is there and from there it is splendid to view the tokyo from the tower. It will be more beautiful to view this after sun set with all lights. It is better to go there after 4 PM. Also there is a restaurant at the top which is bit expensive.

Great overall experience and I would place this above the Tokyo tower for many reasons. The line to get in does take a while, and can be a little tricky to find the start of, so plan to arrive at the general area a few minutes in advance. The views are great and there are countless spots to eat in and around the tower. It will take a little longer than you would like to leave the tower from either floor. The second floor was nice, but not much different from a view perspective than the first floor. You can easily spend a few hours in this area and I'd suggest planning on no less than 90 minutes.

Fully recommended! If you enjoy panoramic views of cities it's definitely a must-see. Going there helps experience clearly Tokyo as one of the biggest cities in the world. I wasn't lucky to see Mountain Fuji clearly as it was in clouds - maybe next time ;) Tokyo Skytree has also a great price-quality ratio which is another argument for going there.

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was an unforgettable experience! The panoramic views from the observation decks were absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning glimpse of Tokyo's vast urban landscape. The structure itself is a marvel of modern architecture, with its sleek design and impressive height. The Skytree Town below also provided plenty of shopping and dining options, adding to the overall experience. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the queues can be quite long, especially during peak hours, but the views are definitely worth the wait. A must-visit attraction for anyone exploring Tokyo!

You can see a great view of Tokyo from the top of the tower. For me though I didn't really like it as much as I liked Tokyo Tower, as the windows were just slightly too far from the walking area to be able to really appreciate the view without being interrupted by giant windowsills. See one of my photos for example. Overall, if you only have time to go to one tall structure in Tokyo, I wouldn't pick this one. But if you do have time, it's worth a visit just to say you've been, admission price isn't too crazy. And you get to ride a cool, fast elevator.

Worth a visit on a clear day! We could easily buy tickets on klook and saved 200yen per adult and only bought the tickets just an hour before we went up. Kids had fun up there too! Need to buy tickets above the age of 6. Efficient and no lines at the entrance. You can buy at the door immediately even at 6pm (weekday) Stunning view at night. We didn't try during the day. We paid extra to go higher to 450m. It's not a must The view was good enough from the 350m actually. Possibly better? There is a little cafe and toilet facilities on each floor. Although it was busy at the top, it didn't affect the view at all. Don't miss the area where we can stand on the glass floor. Souvenir shop is cute too!

As a tourist this was well worth the time and money. Amazing views of Tokyo/Yokohama. Can even faintly see Mount Fuji in the distance. Mind boggling that the city stretches from horizon to horizon. The viewing decks have many interesting things to see, and the tower base complex has several other attractions. I recommend it.

If it’s your first time visiting Tokyo, I’d highly recommend the sky tree as it gives a bird eye view of the city, giving you a good impression of how the city is. If you’re certain of your plans, do get tickets online in advance to avoid wasting time at the ticket booth. Arrive early for your time slot so that you won’t be at the back of the line; though they’re pretty efficient. To make things easier, have your QR code ready before you enter the sky tree and have it checked by the staff. Once it’s the turn for your time slot to go up the observation deck, you’ll scan your QR code at the kiosks to redeem your ticket. Enjoy!

If the weather is right it is definately worth it. I have been in sunny day and nice night. It is worth to be there around 3-4 pm and see city during day, sunset and night. I spent there and around 5 hours. Btw - if the line to normal entrance is short (5-10 minutes) nice ladies at fast track entrance inform you that you don’t need to pay extra 1000yen to get few minutes earlier and point you to standard entrance 😁. Views are spectacular when you see megapolis extending from sea to mountains. There is a lot of space on both levels but sometimes it gets crowded. You can use tripod if you don’t disturb other people. During sunset and night views are amazing.

Absolutely stunning! The surrounding area was perfect during summer. The cicadas, people out and about, walking on the pathway by the river and not forgetting the abundance of eateries surrounding the area. There's also a huge mall underneath Tokyo Skytree which has a varied amount of shops with some seriously cool collectible items that can be for gifts or personal keeps.

This was a really cool place. You can see all of Tokyo from here. We were here on a National Holiday, and this place was packed. I would recommend buying your tickets in advance because there was a two plus hour wait if you wanted to go to the upper observation deck. At the base of the tower they have numerous restaurants and a lot of shopping. Also, they had lots of things for kids to do. The lines to get into a restaurant were extremely long. Not worth the wait, so we went to the food court. We still had to wait but not as long, and then we had to wait for a table to come available. I would recommend going at a less busy time and your experience will be a lot better.

Amazing 360 views of the entire city. You’ll get a different experience depending on the time of day you go. May get a bit crowded but for the most part easy to walk around and take some great pictures. Easy to purchase tickets right on site, nice souvenir shop inside and located next to the mall. Great place to visit while in Tokyo.

The view at night is amazing! Very convenient location, next to train station. We went up there around 8:50pm, tickets counter opens until 9pm, Skytree opens until 10pm. 350m and 450m are both worth the money to have a look. Professional photos can be taken by the staff over there, 1500 yen per photo.

The Tokyo SkyTree is a nice place to visit, if you are traveling to Tokyo for a few days. At the base of the tower, there is a shopping complex called Solamachi, with different restaurants, markets and shops. If you go up the SkyTree in the daytime, on a clear day, you can spot the different attractions around Tokyo, such as Mt. Fuji, Asakusa, Tokyo Tower, Odaiba, Haneda Airport, etc. In the evening, it has more of a romantic vibe, as you can see all the bright lights of Tokyo. There are 2 different levels, you can go up the SkyTree. If you go to the lower level observation deck (about 350m up) you will get to see all the nice 360 degree views (2100 yen) and it is about 1000yen cheaper than going to the highest level (450m). You can also get professional pictures taken up there for free, but you get a tiny picture as a souvenir. If you are willing to pay about 1500 yen, you can get a regular sized picture, with a special SkyTree frame. That pretty much sums up the lower observation deck. However, if you pay the higher fee, you will have access to some special themed area on the upper observation deck, where you can take pictures and buy specialty items that you cannot buy in any other part of the SkyTree. The special theme changes every couple of months. As an example, when I visited the SkyTree 3 years ago, the theme was Thomas and Friends (the train engine for kids) and when I visited last week, the theme was the remake of Final Fantasy VII. So, I guess it is worth the extra price if you are interested in whatever special theme they have at that time. There are about 2 or 3 restaurants and cafes up in the observation decks, if you want to have a drink and/or meal with an awesome view of Tokyo. The other thing I wanted to mention was that even from a distance at night, in Tokyo, you can see the SkyTree change colors. It is good to look at. Overall, the SkyTree is a nice place to visit and to go up the main tower at least once in your life. I just wish they would lower the price a bit more.

It’s easy to forget Tokyo is the largest city in the world until you see the view from Skytree. It was a bit cloudy on the day I went, there are observation cameras that show you the view before you buy tickets, so it made more sense for us to only go 350 m due to cloud coverage. It’s spacious, well organized, and has a lot of information about each section of the view.

While the views from the tower are stunning, some very poor choices made by the management take away from the experience. First and foremost the air conditioning at the very top of the tower is almost nonexistent on a sunny day which should cause discomfort to those visiting in winter. Second the truly tasteless exhibitions (as common in Japan’s tourist venues) with an extraordinary number of differently color-coded signs are NOT a sight for sore eyes. The constant bombardment of sound coming from the speakers and the plastered graphics of a currently popular anime on every corner is just poor direction. Some other exhibits stand in the way of windows facing towards central Tokyo and Mount Fuji which again points at poor coordination, management and event direction. It’s 2021 and I think it’s time to think about how important it is to make an venue visited by hundreds aesthetically pleasing.

It's was a good visit for weekend, it takes 3-4 hours to visit the top of sky tree. It's was very crowded and each times for using elevator need to spend minimum 20 minutes in line. If you visit it close to evening you can see a beautiful evening and also you can see the city on night mode with lots of lights. Place is clean and beautiful. The price for adults is 3400 yen. The elevator speed is 600m per minute. It was good feeling use fast elevator.

If you’re not great with heights, I’m with you, but you’ll enjoy going up. The trip up to the main tier is very quick thanks to extra rapid elevators (don’t worry, they’re not glass or windowed). Once you there, it’s a rather large space with 3 other floors of stuff to check out; you don’t have to go to the windows til you’re ready. Heading to the top tier, the elevator does have windowed doors, but it’s a quick ride up. The top tier is really all about the views, which are spectacular from either tier. Getting back down to the main tier and ground floor might take some time as the line to go down bottlenecks on the top tier, but it moved rather well for us. Once you’re done with the Skytree, DO NOT miss out on all the shopping to do in the “mall” below. So many interesting and cute shops to enjoy! There is a large play area for kids, and also a food court with tons of goodies to try. Course, same problem as usual in these circumstances, not a lot of places to sit and eat, strangely. This is a fun day out that you will enjoy. If you really can’t summon the courage to go up into the Skytree, the shopping mall alone will definitely keep you busy.

Being the Tallest Tower in the World, it is a must-see tourist attraction in Tokyo. There are separate prices for the two Floors available and you will have to purchase both, but the experience is worthwhile, starting from the smooth elevator ride that takes under 1 minute to reach several hundred Floors. For Instagrammable photos, it may be best to visit in the daytime, but the nighttime views are the best to experience first-hand.

Must-visit spot in Tokyo. Recommend to buy an online ticket for cheaper price and faster queue as normal queue is very long and take more than 30 minutes to reach to ticket office. with online ticket, you will spend less than 5 minutes to pass through and go to the top of Skytree in no time. The view from above is such an amazing experience to see Tokyo from above.

One of the best place in Tokyo to visit.I went here for the third time. Absolutely Stunning view, many photo spots, photo services, restaurants 🥘, toilet 🚽, shops and etc. You can enjoy both TEMBO DECK (350 m) and TEMBO GALLERIA (450m).Ticket price is different. Ticket can be purchased online or you can buy from the automated machine( using credit card or cash). In winter time, please visit there around 4pm so that you can see both day and night view properly. And you there is a car parking place too. So it’s very convenient.✌️ Highly recommended.📣✌️

We followed the Skytree tower through the city. Impressive views of Tokyo, even on a cloudy day. Staff are friendly and could assist us even though we only speak English. We enjoyed lunch here too. There was a souvenir photo booth that karen insisted we do. 360 degree views of the City. We enjoyed the day at Sky Tower.

Went there couple of weeks ago. They have two upper floors for visit, each has different cost which to be true both of them are expensive. They do not even have wifi, vending machine at the top. So definitely price does not matches the value you pay, its definitely expensive. Worst part is that, if you are hungry, food is way too expensive at the top even water cost 250 JPY inclusive of taxes.

Watching such a big city from this hight was mind-blowing! How far you could watch was insane, sadly because of the foggy weather, I wasn't able to see the Fuji Mountain. Can't wait to visit this amazing tower again!

Although it is packed with people during Golden Week, it is such a nice attraction to visit especially on a sunny day! I suggest to those who are interested in coming here, please book your tickets online to avoid waiting in a long line. Solamachi mall that is attached to the tower was quite big and had many restaurants to choose from if you want to have lunch or dinner here.

The Tokyo Sky Tree is a fantastic tourist attraction that’s situated atop a mall and subway station. It’s accessibility is uniquely centered near the periphery of the city’s outer boroughs and outlying suburban districts. An amazing sight day or night and especially during the holidays. Quite spectacular—though the one-time admission fee ranges from $35 and upward depending how far you want to go inside the tower’s observatory decks and floors.

Tokyo Skytree is one of the best landmarks you can visit in Tokyo. There are a lot of things you can do there, and you can expect to spend 2 to 3 hours there. You can buy tickets online which is cheaper than in person. There are two different choices, one is at 350 meters and the other is 450 meters. I went to the 350, and was still blown away. Going during the day there are lots of tourists, so it might be hard taking photos of just yourself. The views are wonderful, and you can take a 365 loop. Each elevator represents a season, so pay attention to the art. Since it is a radio tower, there are many shops with merchandise from the various shows and cartoons they broadcast.

Such a cool experience! The views were beautiful from up top and the staff was very helpful. There is so much you can do in the one location— lots of shopping, eating, and an aquarium. Great spot for families! Buy tickets in advance! They can sell out quickly for popular times. Makes it way easier to get in too.

Love going to Tokyo Skytree around the holidays. So pretty and festive . We were able to catch the sunset and majestic Mt Fuji in a couple of the pictures. Shopping and eating after- yes!! So many stores to browse around in. Convenient for the trains as well. A must stop in whenever we visit Tokyo. 👍🙂❤️

One of Japan’s must see attractions if you are in central Tokyo. It is a very short walk from the train station and is disability accessible the whole way up. I would recommend buying tickets in advance as the queue can get pretty long and times sell out quickly. The view from both level 350m and 450m is great as you can see the whole city. There is also quite a few interactive activities that you can take part in such as a stamp hunt.

Visiting Tokyo Skytree was an absolute delight! Compared to Tokyo Tower, I found Tokyo Skytree to be superior in terms of both view and facilities. However, Tokyo Tower has its own unique charm that shouldn't be overlooked. If I had to pick just one, Tokyo Skytree would win hands down, especially for its breathtaking nighttime views of Tokyo city. The experience was truly unforgettable, making Tokyo Skytree a must-visit attraction in Tokyo!

Many people have come to visit since morning. both tourists It is always a beautiful view, a bird's-eye view of Tokyo's cityscape. Can be viewed at floors 350 and 450 meters, considered the highest. This time, we went during the day and saw the city far away, and at night we saw beautiful colorful lights, but the timing was different and the atmosphere was good for both. Below there is an adjacent department store where you can go shopping.

5/5 would go there again. Don't hesitate to go to the top of the tower, the experience is amazing, the elevator itself is an awesome piece of tech, it goes so fast! Whether at day or at night, you can enjoy a magnificent view of Tokyo. It's a very nice place for dates too by the way. Sure, it's not cheap, I will give you that, and I would not be against a smaller price, but it's worth it. Go check out Tokyo Tower too if you can, doing both is a must.

This is a must see tourist destination! After you go up to the highest point on the tower, you get to take photos in a super cool area and they even take a photo for you with the mascot headband. It was so much fun. The base of the building has a big shopping centre with all kinds of authentic Japanese products such as sea and local food. They even have items used for tea ceremony. There are also some awesome restaurants in the building. It was my first time having fish that literally melted in my mouth. Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) The Tokyo Sky Tree was completed on May 22, 2012, and I visited for the first time on August 22, three months later. I took the plunge from Shikoku, but I had goosebumps all the time in front of the towering beautiful curved steel tower. I was impressed. It was very crowded that day, but the staff handing out the numbered ticket for admission to the tree said, "This is the last one. Please." And gave me a free ticket. Fortunately, I was able to climb to the top floor of the tree. The weather was nice and it was daytime, so I was happy to see Mt. Fuji. This experience inspired my daily life. Thank you Tokyo. I'm glad I came from the bottom of my heart. This is another one of those only in Tokyo experience. Though it's not as iconic as Tokyo tower; you can see for miles at the top, and the staff will show you where specific towns are, and there's even a map to show you. There's huge mall with great verity. The observation deck has great for gifts for people back home, and they have small snacks you can buy as well. If you're in Tokyo definitely go for it.

Amazing views! Do it once if you visit Tokyo!

Great place to visit in Tokyo, the sky tower is located next to a mall, where there is an area for you to buy your tickets. The ticket that gives you access to both floors is definitely worth it, for the view you get it’s amazing the things you can see from the top. There is a fast elevator that takes you up there, the air conditioning is great in summer, but it’s less crowded in winter which is when you should likely visit. There are screens throughout the place showing you how the place looks at night and also showing what each building is and the history, with great details. When your done with your visit you can go down and on your way is a set of restaurants which serve different things. I highly recommend visiting the Skytree, but the souvenirs are pretty expensive, so if you go to the local stores a bit further than the Skytree you could find them for a smaller price.

Highly recommend to visit. The top deck is around 450m with absolutely stunning view. The price is 3100 yen for both observation decks, or 2100 yen just for a lower (350m) deck. Not sure there is a big difference from such height. If you are lucky, you can view Mount Fuji and Narita airport. Worth visiting once to see Tokyo from above. Also there is a 7-floor shopping mall there

Symbol of Japan although this one is much better than it’s predecessor the Tokyo tower. You can go to the top of the sky tree or go inside and see the enormous mall inside with lots of cool little shops. I really liked that the shops inside weren’t your typical stores you see in a mall, it felt like the stores were much more nuanced and specials. Absolutely a must visit!

The view from this tower was amazing. I could see the whole outline of Tokyo and a little bit further. The only problem was getting in the line to the top as long lines are gathered and they have certain times where you have to visit and spots do run out fast. This is a very busy place but luckily I got in at a decent time to have good tickets. They do have shops and restaurants to explore while you wait for your turn. I do love how they have 4 elevators and each one has a design about the seasons. Very unique design that is beautiful. Along going up the elevator there is a TV that shows how fast it's going up and down. I do recommend people come here because there are more things at the top as for the glass floor and shops as well and even a gallery.

The Tokyo Sky Tree is awesome for the city view, you can see the city from above for 360 degree, in the brighter day you may see Mt. Fuji at the direction between the pole number 8 and 9. It's also have a little glass floor that you can step on it and see how height from the below area. At the base floor there are a lot of shop and also aquarium to visit while waiting for your round if you buy the ticket and have to wait, there are some food and drink shop at the park area by Christmas event on year end season. It would be very beautiful in the evening by the illumination that already placed in the park here. BTW my friend was lucky to take the Dragon Ball Piccolo in the photo at the first coin.

Skytree offers a great view of Tokyo, especially in the evening. Weekends can be busy, so expect a wait. Getting a 450m ticket is tough, but the view isn't much different from 350m. Opting for the slightly lower level might save you time and still provide an awesome cityscape. Overall, a worthwhile visit for the stunning Tokyo view, though plan for crowds on weekends.

I with my family to travel Japan in 2024, I can feel free to shipping in here and the shops include most famous Japanese animation, TV shows , cartoons and there also have good restaurant. If you have time then you can go up the tower to view the area around here, that will be a good experience and keep memory in Japan when you leave here.

There are many Skytree and Towers across the Japan. This one is one of them. We visited around late afternoon. It was still crowded due to Weekend. There is almost nil waiting despite of heavy crowd. We didn’t go all the way top and took the tickets for 65th floor, reached there in super quick elevator. Very well management, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the city, you can also enjoy night view since it gets dark early during the winter. We enjoyed the sunset and Fuji San view from the top. Good experience.

Skytree is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo. At a height of 2,080 feet (634 metres), it was the world’s second tallest structure, after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, at the time of its opening on May 22, 2012. Tokyo Sky Tree is also the world’s tallest freestanding tower, and it exceeds the height of Tokyo Tower, previously the city’s tallest structure, by 988 feet (301 metres).?? I hope everyone that is reading this is having a really good day. And if you are not, just know that in every new minute that passes you have an opportunity to change that. ⁣⁣ ⛩ Instagram ===> @retarophotography ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

The tower is the primary television and radio broadcast site for the Kantō region; the older Tokyo Tower no longer gives complete digital terrestrial television broadcasting coverage because it is surrounded by high-rise buildings. Skytree was completed on Leap Day, 29 February 2012, with the tower opening to the public on 22 May 2012. The tower is the centrepiece of a large commercial development funded by Tobu Railway (which owns the complex) and a group of six terrestrial broadcasters headed by NHK. Trains stop at the adjacent Tokyo Skytree Station and nearby Oshiage Station. The complex is 7 km (4.3 mi) north-east of Tokyo Station Design The tower's design was published on 24 November, 2006,based on the following three concepts: Fusion of neofuturisticdesign and the traditional beauty of Japan Catalyst for revitalization of the city Contribution to disaster prevention – "Safety and Security" Tokyo Skytree also resembles a 5-storey pagoda from historical Japan. The base of the tower has a structure similar to a tripod; from a height of about 350 m (1,150 ft) and above, the tower's structure is cylindrical to offer panoramic views of the river and the city. There are observatories at 350 m (1,150 ft), with a capacity of up to 2,000 people, and 450 m (1,480 ft), with a capacity of 900 people. The upper observatory features a spiral, glass-covered skywalk in which visitors ascend the last 5 meters to the highest point at the upper platform. A section of glass flooring gives visitors a direct downward view of the streets below.

Tokyo sky tree wasn't bad to be honest malaysias sky deck was wayyy better and your actually over the side but the Tokyo sky tree was nice during the day its OK but I strongly recommend going later when it gets dark the view is beautiful. There is a scratched glass squre in the floor that you can see all the way down but its realy not worth the look its small and there's to meny ppl crowded round it, like I say the vet is nice but the Malaysian sky deck is better. Right at the verry top there was a hallo kitty through the ages show peace that was canny to see but wasn't realy worth the extra money to go to the verry top however I did and seen it and its ticked off my bucket list 😄

Tokyo Sky tree is omni present from any part of Tokyo, whether day or night. Once completed, it eclipsed the Tokyo tower for heighest structure in Japan. Great views of entire Tokyo from top. To make the best out of expenses, better to reach around 4:00-5:00pm and make use of view of day as well as lit up evenings. On a clear day, you may be able so see as far as Mount Fuji. Now an oxymoron- it is better to reserve the visit to avoid occassional long queues but that takes the cahnces of cancellation in case of sudden weather change. Check out the weather forecast beforehand, it's quite accurate.

The combo ticket for the elevator (which stops at 350th floor and 450th is 3400. But for the 450 th floor only is 1400. To me the view is almost the same in both levels. but the view is breathtaking.

Sky view! amazing rooftop pictures! worth the visit 100% One of the first places that i visited in Tokyo! Its a very commercial and long time queuing but its worth it! I actually like the location around here as well. So I will always stay behind the ^tree^! Its a very convenient place but it will take some time to get up and down! So just be ready! You can find all you need around that area as well. So just go up and enjoy the view and dont forget to bring your camera! cheers!

Highly recommend visiting to the top. They are two levels you can choose, the lower deck is around 350meters while the top deck is around 450. It might seem just a few meters above but the view was absolutely stunning. The price is higher to go to the upper deck but if you make your reservations online in advance, you can save a couple of yen. Love the sunset view and the illumination afterwards so I highly recommend booking your tickets around sunset to see both, when it’s light and dark. If you are lucky, you can view Mount Fuji and Narita airport. Worth visiting once to see Tokyo from above.

A must visit place if you're in Tokyo. This was my third time visiting the Tokyo skytree and I felt like this was the most memorable time. We went there at night and having bought the tickets from our travel agency, we skipped waiting in the long line. The top of the sky tree was beautiful. There was a bit talking about the history of it and what japan looked like before the it was modernised. When you look at the windows, you the city of Tokyo looks so small. The lights are like jewels dancing in the night. This was the first time for me going at night and I highly recommend it. You can also buy some food and sake and contemplate about life whilst you're sitting there and looking out into the night. The outside of the Tokyo skytree is very colourful as well. You won't miss it from a distance! It's very difficult to miss it.

is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo. It became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010 and reached its full height of 634 meters (2,080 ft) in March 2011, making it the tallest tower in the world, displacing the Canton Tower, and the second tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa The tower is the primary television and radio broadcast site for the Kantō region; the older Tokyo Tower no longer gives complete digital terrestrial television broadcasting coverage because it is surrounded by high-rise buildings. The complex is 7 km (4.3 mi) north-east of Tokyo Station.

It is nice to take a suoer-fasf elevator to get to the high point. It is cool to have the panoramic view of Tokyo (on a sunny day). But I am not sure if it is wort 20 USD (or more if you want to take an additional elevator to get 100meters higher). One expects a more special atmosphere for such an expensive entrance. But once ou get there, it is rather blant (except for a café with overpriced tiny Cale pieces, and a service to get photo shoot for a fee).

Nice to visit once. Plenty of restaurant’s around to have food food. You can go on the observation deck and get some souvenirs (included in the ticket).

On a clear day, the world’s tallest tower offers views for miles and miles in every direction. Not for the faint of heart, but great for thrill-seekers! 東京スカイツリ634 meters second tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa 829.8 m.

WOW!!! Really is very tall. Even the walk way up is beautiful, so many things to see and pretty backdrops for photography

Visited last July this year, for birthday travel gift for myself 🙏❤️ The tower is literally, a skyscraper! It was a huge and tall tower that when we reach the highest point where you can go (450thfloor), everything turns into tiny little thing from the above. I really appreciate the view of the city from the top 💯 This is really a must visit!

One of the best place to see the astonishing Tokyo view. For photography point of view, It's difficult to take night view as there is a distance between handrails and the glass window.

The view is beautiful, especially when you visit at sunset. When there is a strong gust of wind, it feels like a small earthquake. I found this beautiful plane right next to the moon!!

Definitely a must go if you are in Tokyo. It is just over 2000 yen to go to the 2nd highest level and just over 3000 yen to go to that and the highest observation point. The view from the top is spectacular and on a clear day you can even see mount Fuji! The view during the day is amazing but the view at night is also amazing. If you can I recommend going up at both times of day to really get the most out of the view!!! There is also a large shopping centre in the complex with the studio Ghibli Shop being my personal highlight. If you can, come here during the Christmas period to see a great Christmas tree and spectacular light show.

Amazing experience in the sky! Very high up! We got a free photo too! Well oiled machine for visiting, and staff is so helpful and friendly. Recommend buying tickets online, but you can buy in person. Tokyo Skytree is attached to a giant mall too so we had lunch afterwards in the food court. Lots of shopping, food, and shops nearby! Oh, best part of Tokyo Skytree is that has it's own train stop. A must see in Tokyo!

It's a nice place to explore. So many things to enjoy. The view is amazing during sunset and when the city lights up it's even more magnificent. Though the prices for tickets are very high, it is worth visiting a time while coming to Tokyo.

Good experience and first timers would love it. It has one of the fastest elevator and takes to 350 meters in a minute. Glass floor experience is good and night view of the tower is wonderful. Though we went on a weekday and got a ticket, it is recommended to book in advance.

An incredible work of Japanese engineering. An excellent place to meet in Tokyo. On weekdays you will be able to have better conditions to photograph the different landscapes that are provided by the tower. It is worth checking. Bring your camera and enjoy the light!

I bought a ticket to go up to the highest height of the tower, we were going to go up there at about 6 o'clock exactly to watch the sunset but due to the long queue time and we didn't buy tickets in advance, we couldn't make it in time. . But it's still amazing to see Tokyo from above. It will be great if you go with your lover. There are also food and drinks sold up there. Go early so you can see both the sunset and the evening

A really great experience to visit as a tourist from the USA. The views are amazing! There are a lot of people that visit but they do a great job managing them through. There is a good mall and food court to visit at the same location if you have to wait. If they are busy, you have to buy a ticket for a certain time and may want to do something to kill the time. You may be able to buy tickets ahead of time on the internet, we did not check into. We just showed up, had to wait 90 minutes for our slot, which was not an issue as we went to the shopping mall. Recommend doing this.

What can I say that 73,000 plus reviews (as of writing this) haven't said? YES, its absolutely touristy. YES you its a little pricey to enter but YES its absolutely worth it. Its amazing how much of Tokyo you can see when go up this tower. It truly gives you the scale and size of Tokyo. I would recommend trying to go as early as possible on a weekday and AVOID weekends if possible. The best possible time I would say would be between set set into evening if you're trying to have a nice date night. So yes, its touristy and all that but its most definitely worth being a total tourist.

I had an amazing experience at Tokyo Sky Tower! The breathtaking views of the city from the observation deck are absolutely stunning. The entire facility is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a must-visit if you're in Tokyo. Don't forget your camera to capture the fantastic skyline. Highly recommended!

This amazing structure is the best experience you can get on a wide radius view of Tokyo. Beautifully built and lit up at night, it’s one of the best places to go to have an actual view of the sheer size of Tokyo’s mega cities. Tokyo tower just doesn’t only offer a view, it provides you an entertainment, shopping, eatery and even an aquarium. Towering over Solamachis shopping district you can literally just stay there the whole day. It is not necessary to get the higher floor ticket but if you want to see how far up you are then I’d say go for it! Don’t think I have ever experienced queue issues and tickets can be bought on the spot or online. Strongly recommend going just before sunset to get a good day and sunset view. Don’t think the night view is that great high up.

A cloudy day but still worth the trip. A group tour gets you in faster than going as an individual. Look how fast the elevator travels. Also, interesting to see through the glass floor. Second highest building in the world and the highest broadcasting tower. A shopping center is adjacent to the tower. They were already decorated for Christmas and Christmas music was playing throughout the shopping area.

Went there almost 10 years ago and great to be back again. Reservation has been made in online is highly recommended. I just go for normal ticket 350m and that's great. At 12.00, the sunlight is quite strong to see so would recommend to go in the evening like 16.00-18.00 instead.

Amazing view from the 350m and 450m decks. Great views however the visitors admission was way too crowded to make it enjoyable experience. We visited a few days ago which wasn’t peak season, and the room was packed and queening for long time to get on and off the elevators. Could be much more pleasant experience it was t as crowded. Stunning view of Tokyo horizon at sunset time.

My review might sound controversial or nitpicky to some, but it's just based on my preferences for viewing towers. I bought my ticket in advance online, which does provide a small discount. As it was my first time here, I booked the ticket that goes to both the 350m and 450m deck. It's quite expensive, so I was expecting a lot. Upon arrival, things went OK. You scan your QR code at one of the machines and it gives you a ticket. Then you go and wait in the first huge line that takes you to the 350m platform. In the first elevator, there isn't much to see. It says each elevator represents a season, but honestly, there's minimal decoration and entertainment while going up. At the 350m platform, the views are already impressive, although it was super crowded. But of course, I paid for 450m, so I make my way to the next elevator where there is again a huge line of people. I eventually make it up to 450m, only to be sort of disappointed because the windows up there are much smaller, further away from you and at an angle. All these things make it very difficult to take pictures in the evening due to the reflection and glare you get from the lights inside of the hallways. So I walked around and decided to go back down to 350m where it was a bit easier to take photos, but even there the windows are at an angle and sometimes not within reach, so you'll end up with glare and reflections. Also, there was a random cartoon that started playing for like 10 minutes which lit up the entire area and made taking photos impossible. Very weird. All in all, it's an expensive ticket for views high above the buildings with less than ideal photo opportunities (at least in the evening times).

It’s fun, but super crowded. I hear that if you buy the ticket to the second level (450 meters) if might be less crowded. That being said, it’s an enjoyable thing to add on to your visit to asakusa. You can walk if you’re able, or take the train.

Tokyo Skytree is a must-visit landmark. The breathtaking panoramic views of the city from the observation decks are simply spectacular. On clear days you can see Mt. Fuji. The day we went it was a little hazy but the views were still great. There is a few glass panels on the floor that shows you how high up you are, but it’s oversold as a glass floor, not so much. However, be prepared for crowds, especially during peak hours. Plan your visit strategically to make the most of this iconic attraction. The attraction was great but getting in a queue to go up the elevators and then to walk up and back down the various floors got old pretty quickly. There is also the Solomahi town center next door got some great shopping!

Went to Tokyo Skytree on a Friday night and it was great! Thrilling to see the Skytree when entering Tokyo, even cooler when up close to it. The wait to get up is not a hassle at all. Enter at you specific time, check in, and before you know it, your up in the sky. It may get a little crowded near the viewing glass, but easy to sneak in a spot and grab memorable photos. I bought the pass to the upper deck, worth it, in my opinion. A little less crowded and a couple more meters higher. The shops below the Skytree are also a great way to spend time after or before your trip here.

The view was stunning. The line was not so great. It was very packed when visited. They did have security look in your bag, but that was fine. Definitely book tickets in advance to get the time you want.

Do yourself a favor. Book a tour or buy advance tickets. The lines to get into this place are HUGE! Once up there the pictures are great but it is crowded. I recommend coming here on your first day or early on in your trip if you are visiting so you can get a good idea of the locations and how spread out Tokyo actually is. Overall - must see!

Great place to see the skyline of Tokyo. Prior to waiting to be called to go up the elevator, there is a section at the waiting area / entrance where one can read up a bit on key events in Japan's history, including some parts that involve the Skytree such as the renaming of the train station to Tokyo Skytree station. There are four elevators that take groups of visitors up to the viewing area. The elevator ride was slightly packed but was fortunately a short trip. The staff that managed the elevator groups did their job well. The viewing area was wide, offering a view of the city as far as the eye can see. Supposedly, one should be able to see mountains including Mt. Fuji in the distance during the daytime. The glass floor was at lower level and in a rather crowded area. This part of the attraction was in the section where visitors were already lining up for the elevator to head back down. Perhaps for crowd control? All in all, the Skytree is definitely the place to go to truly realise the vastness of the most populous city in the world.
