Back in February of 1872 the national flag of Argentina, designed by Belgrano was raised here. Today this massively monument, which by the way you can see on the 10 Peso note, stands as a significant symbol for the Argentinian people. It is one massive tower, which can be entered and an elevator takes one to the top. Off to the west side the monument continues where you will find the Eternal Flame. Located on the banks of this massive river where large sea-going bulk carriers ply, you will see the monument, and the very Tall Flag Pole...

Super lindo

Landmark in Rosario where every june 20th, the countrys presidente holds a ceremony in honour to the argentine national flag (light blue and white with a sun face in its middle). Espacious place with 24hs acces to walk or seat and enjoy the quietness and view of sorroundings. Buena oportunidad subirse hasta las punta del monumento y tener las vistas abiertas de la zona (20pesos adultos al 22 febrero 2020)

Great display and if you go on national flag day, it will blow your mind as the unwrap the longest continuous flag in the country.

This place was really cool to see. I was supposed to be here for the Dia De La Bandera ceremony but my bus from Buenos Aires got canceled and I had to take a later bus and missed everything!!! This is a must see monument, the monument opens at 14:00 (2 pm) to go to the top and costs 50 pesos ($ .25) per person, you get a great view of the city and the Parana River.

The National Historic Monuments of Argentina are buildings, sites and features in Argentina listed by national decree as historic sites. This designation encourages greater protection under the oversight of the Comisión Nacional de Museos, Monumentos y Lugares Históricos (National Commission of Museums, Monuments and Historic Places), created in 1940. In addition, provinces also have local lists of historic monuments. The Flag Memorial, a National Historic Monument in Rosario, Santa Fe. There are approximately 400 buildings or sites on the list. Most are buildings or sites from the pre-Hispanic or Colonial periods and some are battlefields and other locations associated with the independence of the country. In recent years the government has been making efforts to include sites on the list that reflect the country's industrial and immigrant heritage. The Commission has been criticized for not doing enough to preserve the buildings on the list, and only declaring sites as monuments after they have been altered or partly demolishe

Some parts of the entire monument were under construction. But I could still get to all the best parts: patriotic lamp of eternal flame, atop the obelisk & below to San Martin crypt.

Monumento a la Bandera, Rosario, Argentina. There's only to Memorial Flags in the world. One is in my city, Rosario, Santa Fe State, Argentina and it's beauriful!

Awesome green park around, nice view from the top of the monument, it's not so crowded during the week, but you have to wait 15/20 minutes during the weekend

  • 5/5 Bruno Dirksen O. 2 years ago on Google
The monument is beautiful. You can take great pictures and learn some Argentine History. Avoid it on hot sunny days since shade is scarce in the area.

  • 4/5 Laddie W. 1 year ago on Google
It was certainly interesting. Rosario was obviously a nice city at one time. I hope it can become one again some day.

Everybody should visit this place. A ship that will guide argentina to a brighter future. To understand the ideal that lead our founder fathers to figure and dream of a great, prosperous nation. To my fellow Americans and my brothers in Argentina... Salud!

If in Rosario definitely stop by and explorer. Beautiful monument dedicated to the flag Manuel Belgrano who created the Argentine flag. Pay the $200 pesos to go up to the observation deck and see Rosario from a different view.

Beautiful place! Just walking around there is amazing, but the fact that you can go up to the top of the monument is the best part with great views! Underneath the big structure with the everlasting fire, there is also a very cool room with flags and old currency from all the Latin countries!
