I don't even know where to start. We have been looking for a suitable hotel in Venice for a long time that offers good value for money. We booked this hotel directly on their website 3 weeks before we were due to travel and immediately received a booking confirmation. The website specifically said “payment in advance”. When we still had no information after 1 1/2 weeks and no money was debited, we contacted the hotel directly via email. There we quickly received a response from a woman named “Debora”, where our room reservation was confirmed again and we were told that we first had to pay on the day of our arrival. The double confirmation actually made us feel safe and we drove to this hotel after our arrival in Venice. When we wanted to check in, the lady at the reception (who happened to be the one who sent us the email, Debora) informed us that there was no reservation for the dates we had given. Despite confirmed reservation and reservation number by email 1 week before! The answer to this problem was an "error" in the system... the lady also constantly answered calls and had private conversations while we were left without a room. As we have noticed, we were already the second guests on that day where this was the case. At the end she informed us we have the possibility to go to their partner hotel for one night and we can come back the next day and take a room with them. Also we can choose if we want to come back or stay in the other hotel, and payment will not be done before the next day and before knowing if we come back or not. So for the new hotel we had to take the water bus which lasted 30 minutes to drive to the other end of venice, again with full luggage. We had to buy a vaporetto ticket for that also. We were very angry and desperate with this situation as we felt let down. So we spent the first night in the other hotel, but found out in the morning that this hotel charged us for the price of the first night, although we never slept in this hotel once. Absolutely no recommendation because the handling of the problem was taken very lightly and we were actually on our own. We are not fuzzy but we were very disappointed. We understand if something like that happens but the communication and handling of this situation was just horrible.

Bed bugs!!! We checked in to room 309 and found a huge bed bug on the bed. We went down to the front desk to exchange our hotel room and they automatically changed our room. They obviously know about the problem and after reading a few more posts online about this hotel, we realized we made a mistake. The staff is super nice. The hotel is in amazing location and it is very clean otherwise. Everything else is great but the bed bugs just kept me awake all night even though I couldn't find any in the new room we were provided on the first floor. But just the thought of bed bugs ruined the experience for me.

Worst online experience! I was charged twice and didn't get my money back for a 4-night stay I cancelled during the covid outbreak! BE CAREFUL!

Great place if you want to stay in Venice for a couple of days. Breakfast with lots of food choices is included. The hotel has a lovely bar/ night service if you need a coffee before bedtime. The staff is very friendly, especially the lovely gentleman that worked night shifts, he additionally recommended things to do in Venice. Very helpful! There is an elevator in the building that makes it easy to take luggage up to your room. The room was cleaned every day and everything was clean in general. Unfortunately we had mold in our room (probably an issue with lost of locations in Venice). After addressing this, we were promptly booked into another room. I can recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a clean, local and safe place to stay.

I do not recommend this hotel !!! We booked a room on the website and received a confirmation via email. One week before our trip our money has not yet been debited so we wrote an email to be fully sure. We received an email back from Debora in which she confirmed our reservation and wrote that we will pay at arrival. When we arrived the women at the reception was Debora who told us that she doesnt have a reservation and no rooms for tonight. We were very upset because she was the one confirming and then she tells us that she cant find it because of an error. The same thing happened to the people who arrived before us!! She then told us that there is a free room at the hotel belle epoque. She said if we like this hotel we can stay there or we come back the next day and stay at belle arti for the rest of our trip. We had to take the water bus back for 30 minutes to where we arrived with all our bags. When we arrived at the hotel belle epoque the very nice man at the reception told us that he doesnt even know if he has a free room for the next days. He didnt understand why Debora said that. For this first night the hotel belle arti charges us for one night although we stayed at the hotel belle epoque.

The reception was so so. Air conditioning did not work, and so cold. And the dryer did not work. The bath was not so old and not cmfortable.

My stay at this hotel was the worst experience I've ever had. When we entered the hotel room, we immediately noticed that the sink and shower were both blocked. We informed the receptionist girl about this issue not once, but twice, but she assured us she would take care of it and never did. As a result, we had to endure a terrible odor in the room throughout the night. To make matters worse, we couldn't even figure out where to brush our teeth or wash our hands properly and most importantly how to drink tap water and also the Ac was very slow,I was feeling sweating whole night. The breakfast buffet was disappointing, with very limited options and it was overcrowded. What's more, the hotel don't have basic amenities like a steamer to boil water or even a microwave in their kitchen area, which made our stay even more inconvenient. As a frequent traveler, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. I even have videos documenting their poor service. This experience has left me with a lasting impression, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good value for the money. Stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful rooms and very lovely decor. Good heating. Great breakfast, with many choices, both sweet and savoury. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is ideal, just next to the Academia bridge. I only wish there was a coffee/tea station in the room since lobby bar wasn't working and I really wanted hot drink in the evening. I would gladly come back to this hotel! Really nice experience!

So glad we ignored the bad reviews. This hotel cannot be beaten on location and value for money. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast served was ideal. Good coffee and fresh croissants with some warm options too.

I was rather disappointed with my stay at Hotel Belle Arti. While the AC did work, unfortunately, the controls for adjusting the temperature did not function properly. As a result, I was unable to change the temperature, and the fan speed was excessively high, leading to an unpleasant night's sleep. Moreover, there were no plug sockets in the room at all. Surprisingly, there was only one plug socket located in the bathroom just above the sink. This proved to be quite inconvenient, especially since I needed to charge my laptop and frequently washed my hands. I was concerned that this setup could potentially damage my laptop. On a positive note, the hotel's rooms were clean, and the cleaning staff were friendly. Additionally, breakfast was included in my stay. However, my breakfast experience left much to be desired. I encountered a rather shocking incident that left me quite upset. During breakfast, I approached a staff member with a question. Instead of allowing me to ask, she simply waved me away, which was quite unbelievable. The breakfast lounge was completely full, with no available tables. I found myself standing in the lounge with a plate of breakfast, waiting for a table to free up. Eventually, a table became available after it was cleaned, and I sat down to eat. While I went to retrieve a cup of coffee, I returned to find a couple had taken my table without any consideration. I informed them that I was already seated there, but they seemed indifferent and insisted I move to another table. Consequently, I had to approach a different couple to ask if I could join them, and they kindly allowed me to share their table. This experience left me quite upset, and I'm uncertain whether this treatment was due to my status as a solo traveler.

We stayed in hotel Belle Arti for about 4 nights. We are really satisfied from the room (206), excepting the bathroom shower (it need renovation). The staff was friendly and kind. The breakfast was always fresh and you can choose various sweet or salted stuffs like croissants, cakes, yoghurt, cheese, salami, bread, eggs and many more things. Also you have choice of coffee, juice, water. Check in is from 13:30 and check out from 11 o'clock. You have to pay extra every day tax for about 7€ only cash.

This was a very average stay - you get what you pay for. The rooms were clean and the shower was a wonderful pressure. The breakfast was basic and a fine to start the day. The courtyard outside is beautiful! We really didn't appreciate the construction in the other rooms that woke us up a few times or the fact the TV couldn't be turned off 'store mode'.

The price-performance ratio for the hotel is excellent. The breakfast is good and the staff is dedicated. We received competent answers to all the questions we had and were able to spend our stay in Venice in a relaxed manner.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Location was amazing we loved the area and it was very easy to get to and to explore. The room was okay but nothing special but for the price was mostly what I expected. Air con was annoying as it was controlled downstairs and no option to change the temp. It was also very old and noisy which disturbed sleep. We also had multiple power outages on our floor. No kettle or mini fridge etc is provided. Service from front reception was dismal. They don't greet you when you walk in and if you go to the counter it feels like you are interrupting their day. However the cleaning staff and maintenance guy were lovely! They greeted us every morning and anytime we were walking past with smiles and more. Breakfast was basic but totally fine for the price and the outdoor seating area is quite nice. Probably wouldn't stay again mostly because of the lack of service.

Terrible hotel, rude and unfriendly attention from the receptionist in the morning. A very rude and negligent person. She scolds customers, has a bad attitude. I asked her twice to check the thermostat in my room because it was too cold and he scolded me, he treated me badly, she never wanted to check that or any other damages that were in the room. Also the hotel is very bad, I found the bedding dirty, the bathroom was definitely leaking, which I also reported and they never checked. The carpeted floors were filthy, disgusting. The shower doors were damaged. there is no refrigerator or coffee maker in the room, the walls are very thin, you can hear everything from other rooms. In short, between the cold because they didn't fix the thermostat, the water flowing in the bathroom and the noise of the neighbors, it was impossible to rest in that hotel.

Location: Dorsudoro area, quieter than St. Mark area. Room: clean, quiet, roomy bathroom, safe in room. Bed was soft and pillows firm, but slept well. Breakfast: hot breakfast provided, but bland. Service: Weakest link of this hotel is the front desk staff. They are cordial, but unsmiling. It seems that they do not want to be there.

Location of the hotel is excellent: quite district, close to the main attractions, 2 min walk from vaporetto stop. Breakfast was good.

Hotel was clean, a bit dated but very close to all main attractions and a 2 minute walk from the Vaporetto stop. Great breakfast, good choices, only downside was no fridge in the room. Other than that for the price and a bed to sleep in was great. Would stay there again.

The location is very good, done everything by foot. Can't complaint of the staff, everybody very helpful and pleasant. The only comment that I have is that the bed is not the most comfortable, as I had only one night of sleep it was ok. Breakfast is good and fresh.

When entering, we were greeted by friendly hotel staff. The rooms were clean and much more beautiful than in the photos online (. The breakfast was very good with freshly bakes eggs and saucages, bacon, cake, juices and bread every morning. You are located just outside the busy tourist center of Venice, which is nice because after a long day of walking and sightseeing, you want a little peace and quiet sometimes. If you have trouble finding some tourist attractions or great restaurants/bars, the hotel staff recommends you some good places. Overall a great experience for a 3-star hotel!! I would surely recommend this hotel :)

Not exactly "spotless hospital-grade clean" like what you expect in expensive hotels, which I guess why other reviews gave them low rating ... But the place is cosy, warm, and calm.

Four stars for the excellent location. The room had what we needed and nothing more. Small but functional and affordable for a short trip to the beautiful Venice. In the middle of the night you might smell the strong scent of a local spot baking pastries.

Good location, service and staff is like neutral, they are not too friendly, no bar in the hotel. Location is really good worth the money.

5 stars only due to staff and breakfast would be 3.5 otherwise, staff is amazing breakfast has better coffee and food that some expensive places around city. My room had amazing balcony with very nice view, hotel by itself is not faraway from some of most iconic places in Venice, price is good to would recommend if don't suffer from Diamond experience of a hotel 🤷

Would not consider any other hotel in Venice! Location, charm, friendly, helpful staff and comfortable accommodations. I have stayed here eight separate trips over the last 10 years. Returning this December for fifteen days!

Very terrible experience the room maintenance lady just opens the room door and came in without even informing or knocking the door.. luckily I had just finished changing my clothes.. at night times there was no hot water coming from the shower or the tap after calling the reception couple of regarding the hot water dint get any response from them and the worse part was the communication barrier no staff members could hardly speak or understand English and the city tax was been told to pay in cash during check out which was not informed that they don’t accept card only which I had to go around looking for any ATM very very poor service according to 3 stars standard I suggest anyone booking here please do some research it’s not worth spending money here all you’ll get is disappointment

You get what you paid for. The place is nice, interior is beautiful, the room was cozy, the location is great. Breakfast was alright. It was all that I've expected from 3 star hotel.

Rooms are great and the room service. DNB button is greatly honored. Madam behind the "dish washing" desk is quite angry and the madam serving coffee or tea is annoying. But after all, ignoring those little things it's actually good hotel. No problems when booking online and arriving here.

Location was good. Close to water bus stations and walking distance to main tourist attractions. Hotel was well kept and clean. Service was good. Breakfast buffet was a plus. Only thing was the air conditioning was broken. Overall a great stay!

We stayed 2 Nights and it was totally worth it. The location is very good 3 minutes to one and 3 minutes to the other ship station. The room is quiet, the wifi and room service is good, AC works. The breakfast is not to recommend but what to expect from an Italian breakfast that is included for free.

+ good breakfast - horrible bath room, water not draining and useless shower head - poor service, TV not working and said it won't be fixed soon. Stayed three days never fixed. General opinion about Venice is that whether you get a good service or not, they don't care about the quality but only about money and charge you crazy since you aren't the only one as there will be tourist always. One day is enough for this island.
