😠 This GP practice is continuing to go downhill. They told me to fill out a form to get an e-consult I fill in the form and it tells me to seek urgent care from my GP! This GP practice is continuing to go downhill. They told me to fill out a form to get an e-consult I fill in the form and it tells me to seek urgent care from my GP! Take in the word URGENT, I call my GP to tell them this and I was told I would get a callback. It has now been three days and no call. I then contact a private GP who sent notes and requested an urgent face-to-face appointment and I've been told I still can't get an appointment without calling at 2.30 pm. Constantly unable to get an appointment even when you call on time.

If your are new to the area and you are looking for a GP. This is a great opportunity to have a real life changing experience. You might think that at some point in you've experience bad costumer service, well The Firs will surpass your expectations in the most unexpected and spectacular ways. I wont even go into the specifics my wife are going through but I'll just say it is completely and utterly insane! If your life is boring or you need to feel alive again The Firs will definitely make your blood boil and you'll feel more alive than ever.

Honestly this is shocking , staff has zero care . Been waiting for nearly 2 hours for appointment on the phone and end up with nothing . When I turned up I just find staff hanging around making cup teas for them selfs and just talking they own language . I was standing outside and I called the landline number just to see if is gonna ring and it did . as I witness them just leaving the phone ringing . when I asked why ? she said we busy , ( busy doing what ???? Making cup a tea I mean this is really terrible

The new management have really helped. I submitted my request online for urgent appointments (2 separate occasions) the first one for me I was called back before 10am and seen the same afternoon and the second time for my baby I was called back almost immediately did a telephone call with the doctor, was able to send him pictures and was given advice and a prescription all within 30 mins of submitting the form. My personal experience is that the care from the doctors has always been high but now with the new system in place for urgent issues you are seen very quickly!

Four years ago I wrote an excoriating review about this GP surgery which I've now deleted because I felt it was doing the Firs Medical Centre a disservice. Under new management the surgery has been completely transformed. No longer do you have to ring up repeatedly in the morning for an appointment only to be told there aren't any. The online Klinik service asks you to list and describe your symptoms. The doctors will then rate your appointment request in terms of priority. Indeed twice I've speedily got an appointment, one for the same and another for the following day. Please be aware that the Quality and Care Commission report on the website which found the medical centre 'Inadequate' is not really relevant. It was that report which prompted Dr's John and Akingbola to retire and allowed the new management to take over.

I'm not at this doctor but my partner is and I have to say they have been so helpful in everyway, he had a few issues that he needed help resolving and they did with no hassle. appointments were efficiently allocated and we have found everyone friendly and helpful.

These folks seem to try to do the best they can in an underfunded, under-resourced system. UPDATE: I have reduced my rating to 3 stars as communication between doctors/reception is poor. One doctor tells me one thing, another tells me something else, reception tells me something different or doesn't do what the doctor apparently requested at all. My health issues are taking much longer to resolve than they should. I know a lack of NHS funding is hugely to blame, but at the moment I can't give more than 3 stars.

Every single time I call this gp, they take over 1 hour to answer and when it does get answered suddenly the phone gets hung up. I’m absolutely sick of it. I got told to call back at 2.30 after being on the phone trying to get through to them for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Absolute JOKE. I do not recommend this gp at all. I will be finding myself a new gp from now on.

They have new management and it’s been a much better experience. They have moved consulting from e-consult to Klinik which has been easy to use and I was able to get an appointment quicker. Their new website is so much better than the old website too.

Only put 1 star as you cant post without selecting one. NHS you need to carry out an investigation on this practice urgently! I contribute and value our NHS service and everything they do for us, however this surgery has just got worse and worse over the years. I have multiple health issues and have had countless times i have ended up being admitted to hospital due to not being able to get an appointment with these people. Most times i have the number on redial and at one point ws 97 calls until i was told call back at 2.30 and can never get through. There are multiple health concerns i have and need to be seen regularly to help with my health condition yet i can never be seen by a GP or even get through to anyone on the phones yet when i go there the surgery is empty. DR AKINBALA- I cannot fault his service as he always listens and gets me the support i need. So thank you for your help as always. Something needs to be done about this as even when you do get through to someone they speak to you as if you are annoying them only due to having to tell 100s of patients that there is no appointments. You are putting peoples health at risk! I have worked for years and paid my taxes and NI always! Sort this place out!

Incredibly upset that Dr Tariq made a mistake on my prescription - leading me to have to pay twice for the same prescription. What was 14mg should have been 28mg - these small mistakes cost patients as pharmacy policy is that everyday medication has to be charged again.

This place has brought me so much stress i should be recompensated for it, i don't have a problem with the doctors, but trying to book an appointment is like trying to break into area 51, it's impossible and there's no point of trying. They've probably killed more people than they've treated. 0 stars, I hate them

Since brining in the klinik appointment online I’ve always been able to be seen by a doctor the same day. Today I was seen within an hour of me registering. It’s a big change since a few years ago so hoping new management will continue positive progress Edit- sorry also wanted to say doctor seen was very good - thorough and felt confident in the approach to treatment

My mother died because of them, doctors told her she needed to exercise but she had cancer, just gave her pain killers and sent her on her way. If they did their jobs my mum would've been with us still....

I’ve had consistently excellent service from this GP practice. I can make appointments quickly and easily online without having to wait on hold on the phone. The GPs I’ve met there are compassionate and patient and I never feel rushed or dismissed.

Their online Klinik service is really good and getting an appointment is quick. The only problem is that they don't sent out a text message with the general time of telephone appointments so I've missed a few of those because my phone has been on silent. If they could send something like that out, patients could have a general idea of when to be expecting a telephone consultation.

The experience I had today with Dr Adjei put a smile on my face all the way home! She dealt with my 7 year old son with autism with love and enthusiasm. Her mannerism was friendly and patient. Thank you for kindness.

The online appointment system is great. I have had speedy responses from the Doctors and a fast referral to the hospital with a next day appointment and a same day follow up once the Doctor received the results. I am a new patient and so far so good.

I submitted a form for a consultation in the early morning, asking about a follow up consultation. Received a call asking if I was able to go to an appointment in less than an hour. I went and the Doctor was extremely helpful, understanding and really clear in explaining everything to me. Another amazing thing is that she asked me what pronouns I go by, thing that never happened to me before. Couldn’t recommend this GP more.

Always very quick to respond to my online appointments, usually see or speak to someone on the day of the request which is great. I’ve been in and out a lot recently, and am pretty happy with everyone I’ve been seen by.

Really impressed with this GP so far, they are super responsive in answering the phone, providing appointments (I've always had same-day provided so far), friendly and efficient service, and their online system works very well.

Was previously deactivated from the GP since the management change. Both Oliwia and Fahima are a real asset to the GP. They both helped me get reactivated on to the system in a very efficient manner. Providing clear communication throughout the whole process.

Put on hold for two hours. Was 2nd in waiting line and the line cut. Called again and put back to 12. What a joke.

I'm extremely disappointed they have not replied to my email regarding the receptionist action. When I went to the surgery the manager didn't want to have a meeting the excuse I was given is she's busy. I will not recommend The Firs to anyone. Zero Rating
