Just finished a 2 day open water diving course and was 10/10. The entire experience from start to finish was fun exciting with lots of ground covered and many laughs shared all round. Kat was super helpful with teaching techniques & helped boosting the confidence making the journey that much more enjoyable. Super excited to continue my scuba journey wouldn’t recommend anyone else. I am so glad I did my Open Water Dive course with Academy of Scuba. They were very accommodating when I got covid and had to postpone my course but it was also very relaxed supportive vibe throughout the whole process. We were fortunate to have Kat (owner) as our instructor who is a Divemaster but that's not why I was happy, Kat's approach is to ensure you feel comfortable at every step of the way. We didn't have the best weather on day 1 which meant it impacted the dives however she was able to adapt the weekend to ensure we got all our dives in. I will be back to do my Advanced Course with Kat & the team very soon!

Academy of Scuba is the place to go. Kat is a master of her craft as a teacher as well as a veteran diver. I was taught the right tools and habits to consistently feel confident in and out of the water even if something unexpected should happen. I completed the 1-on-1 Open Water Diver PADI Course and I believe that's the way it's meant to be done. That said, they offer one of the lowest ratios of instructor to students (that's good) in group courses as well. I've learned lifelong skills and put them to the test in some of the most beautiful areas I got the chance to experience. (Look up Pope's Eye) Kat shows you that it's more than a technical skill, it's a mindset. I fully intend on practicing for 20 or so more dives before going in on my advanced diver course. This company opened the door to a wonderful new part of the world for me. It will be one experience I don't soon forget.

I had a great experience doing my Open Water PADI certification through the Academy of Scuba. Kat (the owner) is an outstanding teacher who is excellent at explaining concepts and building confidence in her students. The price was very reasonable considering the last two dives were boat dives to impressive locations.
