The whole facility and is super clean and professional and cozy. My nurse Tamika made sure I felt comfortable through the whole blood work process. She was patient, professional, skilled, and informative, making her job look like a breeze!

This place can be nice sometimes but generally it’s a disorganized mess. Be prepared to receive attitude from the receptionist, Ellie. The Dr is generally helpful and listens to you. Although she has made some mistakes as well. Sending my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy even though I triple checked that they had the correct address. Telling me I could call the front desk and request refills of my prescriptions, but then when I call, receiving attitude from Ellie who says I’m not allowed to call and request a refill unless I pay the $50 co pay and come in for an appointment. It’s not uncommon to deal with bad attitudes and poor communication from Drs offices. So at the end of the day it’s a pretty average experience.

I highly recommend Dr.Shannon Martin and her team for quality and compassionate care as a primary care doctor. Dr.Shannon helped me through the first round of Covid as I was experiencing "long-haul symptoms". My health began to improve with her care and I continue to see her routinely. Recently, I was having a personal issue right before the office was closing and the front office staff were quick on their feet to help me! Ellie and RaShawn worked quickly together to make sure that my issue was resolved immediately. That is true dedication and really made my day better. I am always pleased with my visits and refer this office anytime I can. Dr.Shannon also does MMCC for patients that need alternative medicine which is amazing for patients who are sensitive to conventional medicine. 11/02/23 - My experience with Nurse Shannon has been great thus far! However Donna Boatman (she left a 5-star review down 👇🏾), one of the office staff is extremely rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and dishonest. 11/06/23 - I called to speak with Nurse Shaylyn or Nurse Shannon. Donna told that they were were not available at the time. I asked for a return call. No one called. 11/07/23 - I called the office again because I have yet to receive a call from Nurse Shannon or Nurse Shaylyn. I mentioned that I previously left two requests for a return call and no one called. Donna informed me that Nurse Shannon says that she was waiting to talk to Nurse Shaylyn about a document that I requested. In either of my phone calls. I never mentioned why I was requesting a return call because I wanted to report Donna's demeanor. Moments later, I visited the office and requested to speak with Nurse Shannon. I was told that she was not available and that she had no availability to speak with me today. I was now told that I needed an appointment to speak with Nurse Shannon and that the next availability was on 11/14/23. I insisted that I would be willing to wait however long it took to speak with Nurse Shannon because this is a time sensitive issue. Donna called the police to tell them that I would not leave. From what I understood, nurse Shannon has an open door policy when it comes to resolving patient complaints/issues. However having the police called on just because I offered to sit and wait for Nurse Shannon's availability is the exact opposite of that. I even resorted to looking up Nurse Shannon via social media and have yet to receive a response. I accepted the 11/14/23 appointment and left the office. I have never been treated this way by a doctor or their staff and I do not appreciate being treated in this manner. I am left with no other option than to leave this review and find another P.C.P.

New first time patient here. I we would definitely recommend coming here,from the first call,to coming in for my appointment ill say that everything went great. They scheduled the appt in a very fast timely manner. This place was very clean with a good atmosphere,Everyone was very friendly and Professional all of the Staff and Doctors Etcetera..were Wonderful Kind,an very Caring,and they all had nice attitudes an demeanor. Me and my Woman felt very comfortable and at ease from the moment we entered the office,we were very impressed everything was handled Throughly in a nice timely fashion which is great,my time is very important especially when you have kids to care for and a mother to help out at home,animals Etc.. we i give A+ 5-Stars Very happy i chose to come here, it really really does take a big load of Stress Off knowing that I have found a Great Doctor. It makes all the difference in the world. We would Recommend this place to anyone! So if your considering coming to this office then you made a good choice. Amazing Primary Care office! The providers are wonderful and they truly care about their patients. They go out of their way to help their patients obtain optimal health. The staff is welcoming and the office is decorated so pleasing to the eye. I can’t say enough about this practice. A++++

I’ve been seeing Dr. Martin since 2018. I wasn’t in a good place and I hadn’t had a primary doctor in years prior to meeting her. She was kind, took her time to get to know me, is always very gentle and down to earth. Dr. Martin helped me to understand medical issues that I would have never known about had I not continued to see her for my primary health. She supported me through my pregnancy and on going medical diagnoses. To Black Women and other people of color, I would strongly recommend Dr. Martin or anyone in her practice. Often, our medical concerns are dismissed or looked over when we are treated in general practices where we are not usually treated by people that understand our health and lived experiences. This has never been the case with Dr. Martin as she is very thorough and knowledgeable.

I first met Shannon at her previous place of employment, before she opened Health Releaf. Having a smart, compassionate & dedicated provider is truly a rare thing these days, so of course I followed her when she made the move to self-employment. She’s a great listener, & incredibly knowledgeable. Of course it doesn’t matter how amazing the providers are without an outstanding “front of the house” crew. Everyone I’ve met at the practice is phenomenal. Yet more evidence of Shannon’s brilliance:) I need to give a special shout-out to Ellie, here. She’s absolutely crucial. You’ll probably meet her if you call or have an appointment, but she does SO much more than that. Smart, patient & always willing to go that extra mile (with a smile)! I appreciate Shannon, Ellie, Donna & the whole Health Releaf team more than words can express…it’s nice to be treated like a human being worthy of respect & care. Mahalo Nui Loa, ladies!!!❤️
