It’s a great store. The store is huge. It got a lot of amazing stuffs. If you are looking for sporting gears, this is the place to go. They do have a lot of stuffs online sales in the holiday seasons, also they give you discount to your mailbox or email. ( if you are a member) Ashley was the one helping me ordering stuffs online. She is awesome!!!

Ryan in the fishing department is the man! He is so knowledgeable and can answer questions properly. Gave us a whole course on bait casters ended up buying one.. I appreciate all his insight and recommendations. Got me set up with what i needed and gave detailed expectations. I highly recommend talking to ryan if you need help with fishing. Thanks ryan i love my.new gear!

I stopped by because my golf range finder was malfunctioning that I purchased from another location. The staff in the golf area in particular were very helpful in navigating a slightly complex situation. I would go out of my way to purchase from this location again.

You’re better off ordering from Amazon or going somewhere else. Even if the website says that they have an item, if they actually have the item, it will be hard to find it because the way the store is organized. If you think you can get help from the employees to find something you’re wrong, no one knows anything or makes any effort to find anything, they literally told me “if you can’t find it then we probably don’t have this item even though the website says we have multiple of them” without making any effort to find it. All of them are just standing around doing nothing and nobody can help with anything, pure laziness.

This review is less so a review about the actual store, product selection, inventory availability, etc. and moreso a review about the excellent customer service experience I had. I purchased a soccer ball from them months ago. DSG has a 90 return policy, and my purchase was well beyond that window (several months in fact). I had used the ball on numerous occasions and in various weather conditions, and the ball had accrued some scuffs from normal wear and tear. However, this most recent time, it experienced the bite force of a big dog that was off leash at the park that wanted to see what the ball tasted like. Needless to say, it didn't fare so well, and the ball suffered several punctures that left it destroyed. This is where the customer service came in to play. I went back to the store, chomped ball in hand, and asked the cashier if there was any possible way to get some kind and of refund or nominal store credit on it considering it had been destroyed through no true fault of my own (even though that's not how a store would see it). I assumed the answer would be "no" since the ball wasn't defective, it was well past the refund period, and I had used it numerous times. To my shock (and the cashier's), they offered a full refund for the ball despite it being unusable and destroyed. I was careful not to be a "Karen" about it as I knew there was basically a 0% chance of anything happening and I would just be unlucky about the dog chewing on my ball. I didn't want to be a jerk and demand something that I knew wasn't realistically feasible, yet they honored the refund anyway. If I could've given more than 5 stars, I would've. Excellent, excellent customer service!

After sports authority close, this store is the only one nearby. Rei in Rockville is okay but a bit far for me. The store is clean and have q large selection of goods for various sports. However, they don't have good signs in the store so I had a hard time finding the bike helmet I am looking for. Also, their helmet selection is limited. I only find one helmet that fits me but with a unfavorable color. Since I don't want to make another trip to Rei or a bike store, I bought the helmet. I still recommend the store if you need something in a hurry or you need to try the real thing before you buy.

Abysmal, I tried to buy a two-piece outfit of youth clothing, but the pants were missing. I asked if I could pair them with another set of pants from an equal priced two piece set of the same brand, which they would not allow. I did want to buy the shirt, but they offered to let me buy it at full price, despite missing half of the set. I spoke to a manager, however they were only able to offer 10% off. Ridiculous, especially for a store that previously had great customer service.

It was easy to find the Parking place. Superfast curbside pickup - it took around 30 seconds once I enter the store. They provide price matching too. Very satisfied. The only disadvantage is that they don't have a one-year return policy like the REI otherwise they are awesome.

Was in today looking at getting new shoes. There was a young girl sitting next to me, also trying on shoes. The workers and security guard (who were too busy messing around with each other to do their jobs and offer help) made lewd, sexual gestures towards her as she was walking away - right in front of other customers, no less. I put the shoes down and walked out, because I would never support a business that employs people who exhibit such deplorable behavior.

Drove 45 minutes outside of DC to get shoes (HOKA) for work that I needed today. Thankfully they had them in my size. I waited 10 minutes in footwear and no one seemed to be available on the floor to assist customers. When someone finally came, he was nice and helpful however he broke my Stanley cup (on accident). When lifting the shoe box he knocked my cup over from where it was sitting and broke the straw in half, cracked the top and handle. I was livid. When I asked for assistance from the manager Jasmine she outright refused and insisted that there wasn’t anything she could do to assist me. She gave me a $20 gift certificate towards my purchase as if it would suffice for a $80 cup that I just purchased 2 weeks ago. Furthermore I noticed that they gave me the display shoe and showed her the smudges. She told me that there wasn’t anything she could offer price wise for damaged goods because they are price locked. She was very unpleasant and not helpful at all. It was as if I was bothering her or annoying her with my concerns. I will be writing corporate about this super unsatisfactory experience. But hey at least I got the last pair in my size of my gently used HOKA’s that they’re selling at this location, that I also had to pay full price ($167) for so I can complete my 10 hour shift on my feet at work in a few hours. It located in the Rio Washingtonian off the Lakefront. There were ground parking lots behind the building and a parking garage on the side (sharing with the Target store). We came to return a few off-size clothes from an online order. There was nobody waiting, and the cashier was able to scan and process the refund within three minutes.

It was 8 til close and they let us In with NO ATTITUDE, pretty sure there were no other customers...well actually 2 and we got caught up talking to them and the employees still di6get rude with us we were gently reminded it was 9 and they were closed. We asked if we could please be directed to the item that we came for and they directed us had someone meet us upstairs walk us to the isle and assisted us patiently then walked away allowing us to look...cash wrap was also very pleasant and it felt like we were appreciated by all. It was refreshingly suprising. Thank you!!

Bob in the Bike Department is the best. My 11 year old grandson was looking for a new bike, Bob took the time to size him, showed him how to use the bike correctly, did full safety check and made adjustments before we left. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the market for a new bicycle.

Terrible customer service. You need to wait for a long time to get assisted. The staff doesn’t really know where the items are.

This Dick’s sporting goods store is one of the better ones. Located in the Rio, it’s the most convenient place to shop. Even after a few years, it’s still well maintained! Staff is friendly and the local team gear is plentiful! Go Caps! The brands are widely spread. If you’re looking for Smart Wool or Field and Stream accessories, this is the place to be.

EMPLOYEES OPENED THE DOOR TWICE WHEN I WAS IN THE FITTING ROOM - Employees opened the fitting room doors even though the room is labeled occupied. - The fitting room door is thick so the other side of the door is unable to hear anything. - I kept saying 'occupied' loudly and employees still open the door. Later I had to open the door saying I was using the room before the employee uses the key. - Also, the customers constantly push the help button ignoring the in use and red sign. (Update: this issue has been fixed)INCONVENIENT PURCHASE EXPERIENCE The cashiers have to tell you the price for the item since the screen that supposedly tells you the price is not working. You won't be able to tell if the cashier removed an item. The total price will show only when insert your card. BUT... A good place to find sport clothing essentials. Swimming caps, swimming goggles, shirts, shorts, and skorts. A tip is when you use the fitting room just tell the customer to press a different button at an empty fitting room. Use a cashier that has a screen that works. The store is well stocked and clean. Employees are not knowledgeable about the tennis gear.

The store is almost always clean and organized. My problem is they always seem to be out of common/popular sizes and they don't have too much variety. The last few times I have come to the store I walk out disappointed and empty handed. Don't know why I keep bothering to come in store if even the staff tells me to go to their website instead 🤦🏻‍♀️
