My partner needed a battery replacement for his CASIO SGW-100 Twin Sensor Digital Watch. When we brought the watch to Fast-Fix, the guys said it would cost us $40 "because this model takes two batteries, plus replacement job". Well, Amazon sells new SGW-100 for precisely $41,99, so we were not ready to pay that much for replacement - it seemed a better decision to get a new watch. When we said so to Fast-Fix people, they argued a new watch was much more expensive. Luckily, we had checked Amazon before seeking replacement, so we knew it made no sense to pay $40 for battery only. We ended up buying a new CASIO Pro-Trek Atomic, and I decided to try and resurrect the old SGW too. Here is the math: $6,97 for a pack of two Energizer 2025 batteries (and surprise-surprise, you will only need ONE, not two as Fast-Fix claimed) + $4,39 for Eyeglass Repair Kit (which I already had) + watch a YouTube video on how to replace the watch battery for inspo (free!) = approx. 5 minutes fiddling with the watch and $3,5 for the battery, and the old watch is back to life. So $3,5 agains $40, which is a rip off. Go figure.

I went in yesterday to inquire about a new battery for my movado watch. I was informed that it would be $179 to just replace the battery because it is a Swiss made watch and needs a special battery. I disagreed and left shortly after to do some research and found that the batteries needed for that watch was $6.00. I understand that you have to make a profit but why would you charge someone so much when the battery itself is $6.00? I reached out to the movado store located in Arundel mills and they are able to change batteries. They charge $40 for that service. That’s a huge difference.

Could not be more pleased with the service at Fast-Fix Jewelry & Watch Repairs.. Fixed a gold chain and adjusted the clasp of a gold earring. 1hour! Terrific!

I brought my daughter’s double heart toggle bracelet to be repaired. The toggle had broken. When we arrived the staff was warm and friendly. They assured me the jeweler would get back with me the following day as this was a Sunday. I called the next afternoon. Within an hour the repair was done and the price was much more reasonable than I expected! My daughter is so happy that she can wear her bracelet again. The bracelet is a keepsake she treasures and is so happy she can wear it again. Thank you!

Battery-replacement for a watch cost $58.25. When the batteries only cost $6 on Amazon. Also, for some reasons they decided to charge me $60 and could not fix it over in the phone. Sales person was named Angel, kinda ironic. With all due respect, I think what would be more business professional is if the sales person charged the customer of what the actual total amount is and what is the printed receipt (see below) displayed amount not some extra hidden fees.

So I bring my watch in on 9 September 2023. They took a picture of the watch before I drop it off. –I was told by Angel I would have an estimate in one week. The work order I received stated I would receive an estimate to fix the watch by 30 September and I will receive a call back. It is a replica watch… Fine… I called several times from September until November. The second time I call, I’m told it will cost $250 to repair the watch. I’m like fine, no problem. I continue to call periodically from September through today (November). I’m then told the watch cannot be fixed and within 5 minutes it will be dropped off. So I immediately go to the store to pick up my watch. I’m already upset because I was told it was $250 and we were good. I arrive at the store to pick up my watch and there’s scratches all around the watch. Now I’m super pissed because it took several months with me being proactive to contact the repair shop. –To further complicate matters, I am not willing to accept the watch as it is not in the condition of how I dropped it off to the shop. Additionally, I had an appointment scheduled today all the way in Cockeysville to get the watch repaired at another shop. Then I’m told we can take the scratches off, but it will be another hour to wait… I am in complete dismay and utter shock as to what has occurred during this experience. I’m sure there will be a scathing message from the shop like this is my fault but literally, I did everything right and was willing to pay for a good and service I did not receive. Don’t get me wrong Angel was nice, they did get the scratches out however, this is deplorable customer service. Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE! Fast Fix Annapolis welcome to my 6 million viewership…
