Booked when the name was "Inn Your Element B&B" but breakfast not included and only available when the owners felt like it and chargeable--not included in price. Rooms not cleaned or beds made up daily. Shared bathrooms. All about taking money and not giving what was promised. Owner moaned about guests causing her to work too hard! Avoid like the plague. The recent name change was due to so many poor reviews that Natalia (the owner) complained about blaming the guests! She hasn't a clue of how to run the place.

False advertising!!! This is not a hotel or a Bed and Breakfast, its literally someone's home and it smells awful like wet dog. No TV in room, shared bathroom, right next to a noisy train etc. The and owner Natalia is a horrible person. My wife called for the 3rd time to advise due to traffic we would arrive later than expected, she literally yelled at her, threatening to cancel the booking and hung up mid conversation. Do yourself a favor, stay anywhere else.

Don't book here if you want to guarantee a good time!! Use them when it was called "Inn Your Element". First, the place was listed as Bed and Breakfast but it is actually a very bad Airbnb type establishment. No one is there to greet or help. They use a Nest to remotely unlock the door and the code she gave me didn't work. I think the owner/manager's name is Natalia. At first she seemed nice when I called to notify the owner the door didn't work. Then, they advertised the room I got has a private bathroom and when I saw that there was no bathroom I called her to double check. The bathroom is in the living room! She still claimed that was my private bathroom. She got frustrated I questioned it. Said she would just refund me and that's when things got crazy. After I said 'ok' to the refund. She immediately hung up on me. So I walked back to the house to pack my things because my partner and I didn't want to deal with her anymore. She locked us out AND blocked my number!!! For an hour we tried to figure out how to get our stuff back. Only when did my partner call her did she pick up and unwillingly open the Nest door. The refund? She didn't respond to any of my emails asking for the status of the refund.

We really can’t recommend this inn. It’s just a personal house, so staying here is like living in a room in someone’s house. Nothing more than an air’bnb. For this price this is a robbery. We had to share a bathroom with five other girls, this was not informed about when we booked. Just look at the mess we met when we arrived! It felt like living in a frat house... It’s advertised as a “bed and breakfast”, but it’s only a bed: she offered us a cold old muffin which we skipped... The rooms are really noisy, airplanes and a train wakes you up every ten minutes (if not the party on the floor below was bad enough...) Avoid this at all cost.

This is not a bed and breakfast in the traditional sense. This is a couple Air B&Bing their adjacent townhomes which is fine if that's what you were expecting. I will say the place was clean and comfortable. First off the GPS takes you to the front entrance of the community which made me think we got scammed. I called Natalia and she offered no help finding her place. When we finally navigated into the community we parked and walked up to the front door. We walked up a set of interior stairs and interrupted an elderly couple's dinner!! We apologized profusely as the couple screamed at us. They said we weren't the first to make that mistake (...lock your doors???) and showed us to the entrance on the side of the house. There was no sign or anything indicating this was the B&B. Turns out we walked into the owner's apartment. The staff that greeted us was rude and treated us like an inconvenience. She was unprofessional and acted like we didn't have a reservation because of the confusing spreadsheets they leave around with your information on it. She showed us to the room and gave us an attitude when we asked for a second towel. By the next morning they still hadn't brought us another towel even after asking again so I took it out of a linen closet. My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary. I purposely reserved the bedroom we chose because the website made it look like the only room with a private bathroom. That was not the case and we shared the bathroom with another room. Despite being new, post-Sandy construction the house was cheaply made. Our bedroom shared a wall with another bedroom. Both bedrooms had TVs mounted to the wall and we could hear the other TV blaring all night long. They advertised a continental breakfast and hot coffee. The next morning the coffee was left over from the night before. No milk or creamer to be found. Breakfast was Costco muffins (some moldy) and cookies. On our way into the city I asked if they could print our theater tickets. The staff stood next to a printer and computer and told me no. I offered to pay. Still no. They are located on the Subway but a confusing part of the line even for someone who grew up in the city and offered no help navigating the system. You can easily take the wrong A train and be lost for hours. There was no staff to be found when we left so there was no check out. I left our parking pass and key on the spreadsheets of patrons and left. That afternoon I got a call from the husband accusing me of theft and he insisted we didn't leave the items. I then got a similarly accusing email from the wife even after explaining things to the husband and she threatened to report me to the NYPD. A nice perk was the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. The bedding felt luxurious. As an AirB&B this would be fine but not what we had in mind for a romantic weekend. Everything about this experience was misleading.

    1. The host decided to go out of town at the last minute, so our originally booked room wasn’t available. We slept in the garage. 2. You do not get your own bathroom. You must share with others. Waiting to pee when an entire family is taking turns showering isn’t fun. . I don’t like dealing with my own hair on the floor and in the shower, much less other people’s. The bathroom nearest the first room was very small. The bathroom nearest the other room was much more roomy. 3. There are no luxury toiletries, unless you count a giant bottles of Pantene. The soap in the 2nd bathroom was 2 steps up from soft soap. 4. The parking is messed up. We had to arrange a parking pass in advance, but I didn’t get that notice till the day of. And with that, you need to pay $125, $100 of it is returned to you once you give the pass back (supposedly, we didn’t get a pass). Walking 2 blocks to the car wasn’t the issue in my book. I searched my email and the website, and I saw no mention of parking. 5. This might be a “hotel,” but “inn” or “bed and breakfast” it is not. THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST. On EITHER day. It’d be better described as a hostel. 6. This place is literally 2 townhomes in a neighborhood. There is no signage indicating we were in the right place. 7. I will say- the beds and pillows were super comfy. That’s the only reason it doesn’t get 1 star. 8. I cannot make up the picture. Actually the text I received.

Pros: Clean & comfortable. Homey. Short walk to the beach. <br/>Cons: 30 minute walk on the boardwalk from food. Over an hour wait for food. Had to pay for a parking permit (both parking suggestions had no parking). Less stressful to just get the parking permit. Struggled with parking everywhere we went. Not a true bed & breakfast. No breakfast. Surrounding area was okay. Ended up driving 1.5 hours each night for good restaurants on the water with music. <br/>BIGGEST CON: Accused of using the room next to us—when it was another guest. Not given the chance to say whether it was us or not before I received this text: “Ms. ******, as per your reservation you booked only one room - Standard Queen Room (Parkview Room). However you used both rooms without any notice or inquiry. Can you explain this? Either way, whether this was a mistake or you needed both rooms for someone else, we will charge you for the second room for last night. Secondly, we have another reservation for this room tonight. We will move your belongings to the Parkview Room to prepare the Ocean Breeze Room for the next guest. Please, leave the key to this room on the console table by the front door (key with American flag design) so the next guest can use it. If you need OBR tomorrow you can reserve it by calling us 203-***-****. Disappointed. Natalia Assa, your host.“ Apologized once we described the guest in that room. Made us feel uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay since our character was questioned.<br/>Wish our girls weekend was less stressful and more enjoyable.

The Innkeeper Natalia is absolutely horrible. She is extremely rude and difficult. After our stay, I realized we forgot something for our daughter in the room. I messaged her and asked if she could please send it to me. She didn’t answer so a few days later I messaged again and responded that she was too busy to deal with it. I told her that was disappointing because my daughter really wanted it back. She then very rudely said she would mail it to Germany??? (I don’t even live in Germany) and that she would charge my credit card an extra $100 for “wasting her time with nonsense”. I would NEVER stay here again.

A very nice apartment, beautifully appointed rooms. Nice location near the Metro station. Easy to reqch from JFK Airport. Spotlessly maintained rooms. Has all required amenities in the kitchen if you feel like cooking a meal, cup of tea or coffee. Natalie is a great host and was kind enough to allow a late check out free of cost. Walking distance from the beach. Has a few decent restaurants nearby. Great option for those travelling via JFK Airport as the metro connects the Airport train.

NYC Long Term Rentals is a great way to experience a slice of haven in the premiere New York City oceanfront development Arverne By The Sea. Whether you are visiting NYC for work/study or simply wish to linger by the beach you will find all comforts of home plus great hospitality at this gorgeous place. It is privately run and owned, but exceeds many of the chain hotels in its tranquility, great service, location and value for money.

Although the room was very nice... the host wasn't!!! I was charged twice for the room (one night stay). I called the Host Natalia regarding the over charge and was given a hard time. Eventually she realized that there was an overcharge and offered a free night stay for all my troubles. When I took her up on her offer she said that I was looking for a free night!!!! I don't ask for anything this was her offer! Needless to say she reneged on her offer! Watch your credit card statement carefully!
