Craving sushi and this was a perfect go to spot. They were open late, & the vibe was 90s R&B I loved it! They had basic rolls but they were delicious 10/10 and the ramen was 5/10. Cute spot to grab sushi and chill!

Excellent place to grab light drinks and yakitori. Everything is reasonably priced and food were well seasoned. The servers were very nice and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you go out for drinks and finger foods with a small group people.

My first time there was on a Friday night and it went great! My husband and I went on a date and did not know about this gem here in the heart of Fort Lee. Our server Joey was helpful explaining the different dishes and he had great recommendations. The atmosphere in this place is filled with great vibes. I love the aesthetic of it and the food was delicious! I highly recommend to try the steak tartare and the lychee drink that majority of people ask for (it's for a good reason!)

It's a atmosphere is very high energy while being packed at night. The food is very good and the menu offers unique and delicious options. Staff though was very slow and it took over 20 minutes to get our first tapas plate, raw octopus. Staff is always changing as we had multiple servers and food runners so we didn't know exactly who to talk to about our meal. Street parking is available and there is a small municipal lot nearby.

First time at Raku, food was really tasty, I enjoyed the tonkatsu ramen, but we got an assortment of things. Portions are really easy to share and its a really chill vibe, playing some great music. Service was also really solid. I recommend it.

I tend to stick to their wonderful Shin Ramen, Tuna & Avocado Salad, Age Dashi Tofu, Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura or House Salad. They're all excellent but the last time I went I tried their Steak & Garlic chips and an order of their Fries with the house-made spicy Green Sauce and WOW these two dishes are amazing too! Their fries are some of the best I've ever had and that spicy Green Sauce is a great addition. They also came with Ketchup. The fries are large enough to share for 3 or 4 people but I managed to finish them by myself. 😁 This place is also an excellent late night option in the area. I arrived a bit after 11 PM on my last visit and there was no rush to order as they were open until 2 AM even on a Monday night. It can be a bit chilly in this place on a cold night though. I hope they can upgrade their sound system someday as they tend to play their music a bit on the louder side (I think to keep the generally younger crowd happy) but to my ears it sounds rather muddy and muffled. It sounds like a tweeter might be broke on a speaker. Other than that the service was equally excellent to the food. At the end of my visit I raved about the food to my server and he mentioned that they were actually trying to improve the menu without changing too much on it and that's a great sign of excellence.

Found this place late Friday night while in the area searching for somewhere to eat… staff was incredibly kind. Very consistent on making sure we were fed and comfortable! The portions are large and filling. Again, the staff was very sweet and conversational. Food tasted amazing! Definitely coming back!!!

Lord - I come here once every other month to get the same dish for the past few years. Pork belly with spicy sauce and nice ice cold Sapporo or Kirin draft. What I like about the draft here is it always comes out icy cold. Is it hard to ask other places to serve ice cold beer? Not this place it comes cold each time. Why so important? Because the fire comes down from this jalapeno jacked meal. They do not discriminate here, you order they give you jalapeno with seeds and all. Oh yes, the place, it's real chill and calm. Great place to do business as it's quite and mildly lit. I have made a personal decision that if I kill someone at work and put on death row, I shall ask this as my last meal.

Cute little Izakaya in middle of Fort Lee!! Food is delicious and service is great in this friendly bar restaurant. Plenty of choices for ramen, tapas (skewers, Korean fusion dishes, happy hour specias, etc)

This place is me and my partners favorite place to come eat! We’ve come here for special occasions or just to have a nice dinner and it never disappoints. The food is amazing and the people here are so attentive and sweet. The music is also really good and the place is just a nice place to chill or have a drink. Ordering this for our anniversary as a surprise! So excited!

Came here for a night out with a friend. Ordered happy hour dishes which were okay. Skewers and other tapas were much better than happy hour dishes. Would recommend the miso spiced fish and all skewers!

Nice comfort Japanese/Korean food. Would recommend their small tapas and grilled food. We have tried their miso cod, takoyaki, grilled scallops, mushrooms, beef and prawn. Everything was tasty! Their fried crab croquette was also very creamy, but it doesn’t have much crab meat. But considering that it costs $4 during happy hour, it’s still a good deal! The salad was fine and I liked the fries. The Chicken wings were a little disappointed. Good service and definitely worth a visit.

Great food, good atmosphere, very busy for a Wed night... but then again I don't get out much during the week... I had the seaweed salad, the edamame and the Raku special roll which was really good. Nice vibe. I will be back...

Great atmosphere and excellent food. The variety of options will have us coming back. The sauces and twists on the traditional like was I mashed potatoes were fun and the typical izakaya fare was handled perfectly. The seasonal menu keeps the selection fresh and the staff were friendly and had some solid recommendations (like the black cod). Bring your appetite and visit a few times to make your way across the expansive menu.

I had an incredible dining experience at the Raku today! The quality of the sushi was outstanding, and the flavors were truly delightful. Raku special, rock shrimp tempura and Dragon was amazing! The ambiance was lovely, creating a relaxing atmosphere for enjoying the delicious food. What truly made the experience exceptional was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Jon. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Thank you for an unforgettable meal, and kudos to Jon for his amazing service!

Great place. It had what we were looking for in a Izakaya place. The food was fresh and seasoned well. Was too busy enjoying the food, so didn't take as many pics. We were a large group and really enjoyed the food here. We tried a whole variety of things. Tako Wasabi was not as good as I expected. I felt like it was missing something. Miso cod wasn't as flavorful, but still good. Karaage was really fresh and crispy. It hit the spot. Fried wings were crispy and well seasoned. Tuna sashimi salad was very refreshing. Nice size salad for group sharing Gyu tataki (rare beef) in ponzu was delicious. The seafood soup was amazing! We also enjoyed sausage, fried eggplant w/miso. Most of what we ordered was delicious, just a couple of misses, so a 4 star. I like the decor and ambiance. I would love to go back and highly recommend this place.

This is a great place for a date. Although its small in space, they have the music at just the right level so that you can't hear the conversations around you. The lighting is dim so it naturally keeps the mood subdued so it isnt loud like a dive bar. The food, is like Korean comfort food. Its not isnanely good but it tastes good in the moment especially if you're hungry.

I went there for the first time and tried Takowasa, Gyu Tataki, Lemon chuhi, and green tea ice cream. This is the closest you can experience Japanese izakaya style food in Fort Lee, NJ. The restaurant opens very late 3am on a Friday night. It plays techo music. I will definitely go back again and try other dishes.

I adore this place! They prepare decent food, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that place is a professional, I enjoy a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are always fresh, the service towards the visitors is efficient. I often go to this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Hum.... Portion is good. Own and operate by Korean. My steak is swimming in the source.. yakitoris are ok. Not impressive. Music is too loud and not relaxing. Drinks are priced right. Not for family or kids.

I loved this place!!!!!! My new korean go to. Everything about this place is amazing. The vibe is trendy yet low key and romΓ‘ntic. They were playing great beats. The food hit the spot every time, highly recommend the following; grilled squid, crab croquettes, tonkatsu, and bacon wrapped scallop skewers. Lovely exprience, a place for all ocassions, a drink at the bar, a romΓ‘ntic date, late night catch up with Friends, or just joy for food.

There are many great Asian restaurants in the fort Lee area, but finding a good japanese restaurant is harder to come by. Raku izakaya serves some really good japanese and Korean dishes, everything from ramen to katzu. The fried chicken appetizer was particularly good, although I forgot the name. Goyoza is also good here. There is a section for grilled meats (yaki), you can order about 10 different meats to grill, a la carte. I was a bit disappointed in the flavor and taste of the pork belly. I feel it should have been a bit crispier and charred on the outside. Other meats had good flavor. I ordered tonkotsu ramen for a meal, and it was a big portion size. Miso broth was delicious with a good helping of ramen, egg, and nori. I did find that many items lacked seasoning, particularly salt. I had to ask a few times for more soy sauce to season my food. Overall raku serves good food and the price is reasonable. Would come back again.

Very nice facility. Spacious and well laid out. Was a bit dark inside though as the lights were set very low. I could barely read the menu. The tuna and avocado salad was delicious. The three yakitori I ordered were average. The takoyaki I wouldn't order again. The service was impeccable though. I'd go again to try other items on the menu.
