Big Glace Bay Beach

👍 Minus one star for the potholed track from the main road and only being able to park at the side of the track (although some people ignore the signs and drive onto the beach). Gorgeous beach, mostly clean, a bit of trash where people park and can't be bothered to take the trash with them sadly. Dogs...

👍👍 When using Google map to locate Alouette Lake South Beach, I was guided to the Alouette Lake Southeast Beach because there was no Alouette Lake South Beach but South Beach. 👍👍 Lovely landmark with Toronto history. Used to be an amusement park before WW1 turned into water treatment plant. Fortunately, not too crowded, great views and does not smell. There are various beautiful nooks and beach rocks to sit and enjoy the summer weather and waves.

👍👍 Absolutely breathtaking! It's the spot where Terry Fox collected water from the Atlantic that he had planned on pouring into the Pacific once he completed his trek across Canada. Parking is difficult but it is definitely worth it!
