Best places: Lakes in Finland

Finland's 3rd-largest lake is a rustic fishing & boating spot & viewpoint for the Northern Lights.

👍👍 An oasis just outside Helsinki. Swim for 2Km to the end of the lake and back for fun. Loads of nice walks and generally a really.nice place.

👍👍 Skippaa maksullinen uimaranta ja aja toiselle puolelle järveä! Kaunis paikka, josta pääsee uimaan.

👍 This place is also known as "Murder Beach" and the name of the lake is also the inspiration for the Finnish Melodic Death Metal band known as "Children Of Bodom". Though I haven't seen this place for myself. I do plan on seeing it before I die and pass on.

👍 A good destination for a day trip, you can also spend the night camping here. On Saturday in July, there were a lot of people during the day and several groups stayed overnight. If you want to stay overnight, you should come early to get a place for your tent, the terrain is quite rocky and uneven....

👍👍 Mahtava paikka kalastaa, talvella kiva kruisailla kelkalla ja käydä pilkillä, välillä crossin kanssa tullu käytyä talvella. Lappajärven keskellä on yksi saari johon saa mennä yötä ilmatteeks, siellä on mökki ja kaks kerros sänkyjä muistaakseen 3kpl ja makkaranpaisto paikka sisällä.

👍👍 Hyvä ulkoilumaasto kesällä ja talvella. Lyhyt matka Turusta. Paikka on myös vapaa ajan kalastajalle hyvä paikka, jos ei merelle pääse pilkkimään. Saaliit on pääasiassa pienemmät ja keskikokoiset hauet sekä keskikokoinen ahven. Matala järvi kyseessä.

👍👍 Stunning lake, great for a swim - water crystal clear. BBQ facilities. We walked from Kuusijarvi, paths well marked with loos along the way. Well worth a visit. 😊😊😊

👍 Irrespective of the weather, the lake attracts people - walking, jogging quick workout or may b just spending time in the peer overlooking the calm water. In in winter they make a skating ring in frozen lake . You can find cross country skiing tracks, walking path as well as play areas in the middle...
