👍👍 This ancient building was used as the market of Badulla town. My grand father, Charles appuhamy was the mudalali of vele Kade. 1955 period the rice and other essential food items per person had been given freely by this shop on coupon system.

😠 The bridge may be nice, but the people who work next to it are very greedy. On the way to the bridge, a barefoot policeman met us and told us we had to buy a ticket. He escorted us to a Buddhist monk who took one look at us and decided we owed him 1,000 rupees. "Tickets" are written out on donation...
