Hiking trail along the Potomac River with 1 steep, strenuous section, 1 moderate & 1 easy stretch.

👍👍 We came to the C&O Canal Towpath (around lock 20) on weekend. The trail to get to Great Falls overlook was pretty well maintained, and the scenery along the way was also beautiful. Since the bikes couldn’t get into this particular trail, it was much more tranquil and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

👍 Great place for hiking. 15 minutes walk from the parking lot. The rock is not the end of the trail. The water is still like 100 ft down the hill. The rock is just a nice place to stop and take pictures.

😠 I wish whoever is in charge would come out on a Saturday morning and TRY to take a walk. You would find yourself walking in the middle of the " Tour de' France".
