👍👍 @edward rennie, Carroll lookout refers to the Carroll family, owners of the beachfront land between the lookout and the beach club prior to WWII. Still residents of Mosman to this day.

😐 It is such a shame that the view that once existed (Click on the attached photo to see a much larger photo taken in 2007), showing the coastline from Manly to Collaroy, views from North Sydney to Chatswood and on a clear day, to The Blue Mountains, no longer exists. Getting worse by the month.

😐 Sydney, Balgowlah Finally made it to the grotto. Similar difficulty to a normal bushwalk. Interesting views looking back towards Balmoral and also out towards the head. Lighthouse was a little disappointing. Better panoramic view from the lookout less than 1 km away +
