👍👍 A terrific piece of bushland that connects to Mt Wellington. The loop walk gives you wonderful views of the mountain, the river, and the northern suburbs. Remember to keep your dogs on-leash unless you’re in the off-leash area to protect the native animals.

👍 Did the signal station walk from sandy bay. Was a good walk (warning it is all up hill and slightly rocky in places) . Met an Echidna half way up which made it well worth it.

👍 One of Hobart's hidden gems. Apart from the natural beauty, this spot has one of Tasmania's largest shell middens (since it's at one of the river's narrowest points aboriginals met here for many thousands of years). Shag Bay has some interesting history too (look up the man of war, the Nelson)
