Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary

👍👍 Very tranquil and seems like a great conservation effort. Easy to park (and lots of shade), entry fee for adults was $18 when we went, and quite justified given the attention given to each animal. The ground are well paved and the staff and volunteers are very keen. The koalas look well cared for an...

👍👍 This was our second time enjoying the wildlife experience and we had a group of 9 aged from 11 weeks-mid sixties. It was amazing! Cindy and Brad are passionate, knowledgeable and informative hosts. We have visited a few animal sanctuaries/zoos and this one is by far the best. The sanctuary is alwa...

Tinny's Butterfly House and Underwater Cafe
Tourist attraction
😠 Overpriced and under-delivers. Photos on their website are mostly stock footage and are not of the site. Low quality tourist attraction. We saw a tourist sign on the highway and decided to go. Down an unsealed road, we found a collection of old farm sheds at the end. Inside were 4 pretty run down t...

👍👍 I love going here. There are a lot of walks you can do here and take in the nature. I love the birds, lizards, frogs, butterflies and lots types of nature here. There is a waterfall no more than 5 minutes walk into the sanctuary. It can be amazing just after the rain. Very nice and worth a visit.

👍👍 An absolutely amazing experience! The glamping tent was the first weekend away - the accommodation and extras were on point with the most beautiful gas fireplace for the colder nights. Alana & Steve were the best hosts of a brilliant property - we will be back.

Dee Why Lagoon Wildlife Refuge
Wildlife refuge
👍 I liked it, an okay spot for bird watching, the vegetation in the dunes is great for bird life. I was a bit disappointed because silly me went at low tide, when there was no water in the lagoon - just wet, dirty sand, a pelican, black swan, some common ducks and a lot of seagulls. Not quite what I w...

Allenby Park
Park
👍👍 Nice short walk to the falls if you park and walk in the right place and direction. Suggest to park at Clearview Place, there is a small side lane / path that leads you into the bush. You’ll walk down 3-4 steps and come to a T junction, turn right for the short walk to the falls, otherwise if you’r...
