Best places: Thrift stores in Porters Lake, Canada

😠 I'm really not sure what happened to this place. It used to be the best thrift store in the city, and now it has prices so outrageous it makes Value Village blush. $70 for a second hand toaster? $50 for a VCR? $60 for a tape deck? $50 for a dial up modem? I'm not sure what decade they're living in.

👍👍 Great stuff here, good selection of clothes and accessories/shoes. Price is good too I got a nice shirt and jeans for $50. Also Frank Ocean was playing when I was there so 10/10 music choice.

😐 This used to be my go to thrift store! But now I find it... more centered in greed. Examples: I was going to get a big space book for my classroom, one of those physically big ones! It was clearly secondhand, it didn't have a price so I asked the person at the counter...they said 25.00!!!! I did not...

😠 Love this store and shop here frequently. Staff are always lovely -until today. Leola Is very unpleasant and should work behind the scenes and not interact with the public because she’s awful.

👍👍 Very friendly staff. They went out of their way for me. I listed about 50 items. If they do not sell, they will go to Diabetes Association. My husband is a diabetic. Win win situation.

😐 Be careful at this store. The owner (or at least she proclaimed to be the owner) tends to put prices on at random. If she knows you really like it then the price is higher. She told us that all the shoes were 4 bucks but then when she overheard how much my friend liked the shoes she raised the price...
