👍👍 It is always fascinating how rich Cologne is in ancient evidence. This is the north wall of the ancient Cologne city fortifications. The Roman city wall was built from the 1st century and was around 4 km long in total. It included the ancient Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium.

👍👍 Well-preserved castle ruins with tower. €2 entrance fee for the tower is reasonable. There is an adjacent snack bar and the prices are reasonable. The food was tasty. The castle complex is well maintained and the view is wonderful.
