👍👍 A very beautiful viewing point along the Verada do Areeiro walking trail. It is highly recommended to get here before sunrise and enjoy the breathtaking views. It is about 20 minutes walking from the parking lot. We had some clouds but after sunrise it cleared up and treated us to stunning views.

👍👍 Lovely place to watch sunset. Plan to arrive 1 hour before the time listed online for “sunrise” to be able to see the very first color changes in the sky. It can be chilly in the early morning. Definitely wear long pants and a jacket, maybe bring a blanket.

👍👍 Amazing spot on top of hill with magnificent view on all highest leaks of Madeira. Best sunset and sunrise spot with clouds in the valleys. Perfect. U just park your car 400m from the view and 5 minutes walk ad you are there. Amazing. It was not so turisty either.

👍👍 Take bus 96 from funchal at rodestre ticket box (where you buy your tickets) near marine museum for 40 minutes to its termination the walk upto the car park. Most of the uphill is now done and you can walk to pico grande and back on PR12 easily in 2.5 hours on good trails. Scenery is gobsmacking!...
