👍👍 There is a small roadside parking from where you can take some difficult steps to reach the shrine. The landscape around here seems out of this world

🫤 I had read up on viriato and was keen to see the monument. I was sadly disappointed: not only does it look like a very poor excuse of a homage, but it had been vandalised and his sword was broken. It just looks sad.

👍👍 Very nice big scary statue. Worth the plane journey, 2 hour bus ride and the long, tedious climb my group went through to get to the top. Once there we were greeted by this and we feel like our trip is complete.
