👍👍 Superb value for money. Might describe it as cheap and cheerful or rough and ready. Warm welcome from Sonia. Decent breakfast. Nice atmosphere in bar and good pub grub. Friendly locals. You won't get a better deal for a weekend in Durham or Bishop Auckland. Dog friendly.

👍👍 Second visit here. The wildlife is amazing, rabbits, kingfishers, ducks, hedgehogs, red kites, barn owls. Lovely river on the doorstep, great if you have dogs who like a swim. Very quiet and well kept site. Nice staff, would come again. Oh yeah, the caravans are lovely, clean and well maintained.

🫤 Rooms were ok and staff was very friendly. BUT it is unbelievable noisy. Under the Hotel there is a Pub witch plays loud music in the night. We booked this hotel to sleep one night before the next long roadtrip. This was clearly the wrong choice!

👍👍 Lovely friendly people who work here and drink here. Nothing any bother. Food is beautiful and such a family friendly atmosphere and the kids are made very welcome. Would definately recommend
