Bon Scott Statue
Tourist attraction
šš A fine statue in a nice little setting, shows a real likeness of the great man. You can get up and get your selfie no problem!
Also some nice information about Bon Scott. If you're in the area it is well worth a visit.

Armstrong's Bar & Restaurant
Restaurant
š I went for dinner with my wife, I had the scallops for starter, pork belly for main with sweet potato chips and the rhubarb white chocolate cheese cake for dessert.
The food was very nice, simple but special with small twists on everything.
My wife had the fried brie cheese, vegan curry and brownie...

Bonfest
Live music venue
šš Great event. Well organized, with a fun campsite vibe. Only thing - there are too many old boring bas. standing in the crowd not even dancing. If you just want to stand and watch the band then move to the back. Let people dance, sing and jump around at the front. It's AC/DC ffs. š¤

The Thrums
Hotel
š«¤ Writing this review at 0030am, because the music is blaring and the pub is in full swing. This is not a hotel. It's a pub with rooms. After a long and tiring day the noise means that sleeping is impossible. As a result, our day tomorrow will be ruined because we will be tired. Location was convenien...

šš Friday night takeaway. The place was going like a fair which is a good sign. I would recommend phoning in advance. Menu is online. Kirriemuir Gateway to the Glens Museum

šš Unusually, in a rainy Kirriemuir, I was at a loose end, having parked in Bank Street ... soon to be bank-less. I had driven to town to post a larger-than-small-type card that required postmaster inspection. That done, I realised the balance of my half-hour free-to-park time might allow me a browse a...
