👍👍 Tregaron is my favorite quiet spot in DC. I used to live overlooking it from Macomb and over the years it’s been a place to feel at peace amid city life. I highly recommend taking a slow, mindful walk through and linking up with the main trails to the Zoo or Woodley. Cheers!

Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion
Event venue
👍👍 As a wedding photographer, this venue was a dream. There are so many beautiful nooks and crannies in the house for photos, and it directly abuts an awesome forest that's great for portraits. The wedding I photographed here was a brunch celebration in late October and the light streaming through the...

Patuxent Research Refuge - North Tract Visitor Center
Nature preserve
👍👍 It was awful. Stay away. The wildlife was ugly and the roads were solid speed bumps. All the people I saw looked like Russian soldiers after occupying Chernobyl. This was a terrible, bad, no good place to go slow biking with my fluffy mini white wolf. It was a tank and artillery training range...

👍👍 This is a small park hidden in a quiet neighborhood off Briggs Chaney Rd. It has a nature classroom in the center for kids to learn about nature and environment. Blue Mash Nature Trail
Nature preserve
😠 Lousy trail that's placed too close to a busy road. You can still hear the road no matter how far into the path you go. The trail has drainage issues, so you'll likely be dealing with mud and deep puddles. The front part of the trail leads to a lake with ugly fencing. In an area with so many options...
