👍👍 The Burnside Bridge is a memorial preserved to honor the men who fought and died here defending it. Nicknamed the Creek of Death. Walk across it, to your left and right are landmarks, memorials describing its story. If you walk to your right along the river there is a headstone memorial just up on...

👍👍 Loved the Lititz covered bridges tour. It's a self drive from the tourist info site. I've done it twice in the past month. 7 bridges takes about 1.5 to 2 hours through beautiful country side. Make sure you stop at the Chocolate cafe in Lititz. A cute little town.

👍👍 It's weird to review a bridge, I guess, but this one is actually a great place to visit! amazing view of the Potomac gorge and lowland forest. Some rapids can also be seen here. Additional, there are many great trails accessable from here: Potomac Heritage Trail, Pimmit Run trail, and C&O towpath. P...

👍👍 This bright yellow cable stayed bridge is impeccably maintained, like most roads in Delaware, and is a pleasure to drive across. The yellow color make it seem like a miniature Florida Sunshine Skyway bridge - appropriate for beachgoers and retirees headed down to the Slower Lower. On the other hand,...

👍 This is a really lovely bridge to get your exercise on while soaking in the beautiful scenery. Be it for biking, walking and running. It’s a 6 mile walk to and fro from Virginia to the Maryland side and vice versa. I really enjoyed riding on the bridge renting the capital bikeshare bicycle with a fr...

👍👍 Nice cover bridge but even nicer fishing spot. Bridge is single lane obviously and is an iconic PA structure. Underneath it, the octoraro creek flows from a dam just below the lake of the same name. There a decent size gravel patch for parking too. Deep pockets of water with rapids. Would be a decen...

👍👍 This is the only remaining covered bridge in Baltimore and Harford Counties, reportedly haunted. It's just past the headquarters of Gunpowder Park. If you're coming from the gunpowder Parkside and go through it there's a neighborhood that must be pretty old in American terms, as the buildings themse...

👍👍 I love this bridge. It poses itself majestically from every angle. Whether sunshine, cloud, rain, snow, or storm of any kind - it holds its posture and dignity firm. Built in the 30s, it’s bands the Susquehanna River at a place where it is over a mile wide. I walk the bridge daily, which is a 3 mil...

👍👍 This was a nice Bridge to visit. I came here on a visit to Lancaster PA area. My reason for enjoying this visit is mostly because, I live in New York City and this is not a sight you have the pleasure of seeing. As I crossed over this Bridge with my vehicle you can hear the boards cracking noise/shi...

👍👍 One of the highlights of this section of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Trail from Pont of Rocks to Brunswick MD. After the Canal shut down in the early 1920's it sat unused and decaying, and was finally rebuilt, completed in 2011. Thanks to all that rebuilt it. It us a fine structure. Access is from...
