Bynum Run Park
Park
👍 Small park with a nice pond that you can walk around. Has a gazebo, picnic tables / benches, fire pits, and several (I think 4) planks that you can fish off of. Lots of Canada geese, some ducks and turtles. Bit of a trash problem when I was there but apart from that, it's an all around nice place...

Lyn Stacie Getz Playground
Park
👍 Nice clean park with age appropriate equipment. Older children on one side and younger toddler-age children on the other. Beware, on hot sunny days the slides and large green merry-go-round are skillet sizzling hot.

Friends Community Park
Park
👍👍 Really nice park! Looks like you can fish, I saw someone getting out a fishing rod from their car heading towards the pond. The pond is small but has a nice bridge to an island in the middle.
I was looking for a shady place to enjoy my lunch and read a little bit. The restrooms were clean and tidy....

Palmer State Park
State park
👍👍 A pleasant place to hike. The trails are mostly wooded, well marked, and not overgrown. There are a few different trails, easy to moderate, varying in length. The moderate trails are a little rocky in places but not terrible. Part of the trail follows the water where you might see people kayaking or...

Emily Bayless Graham Park
Park
👍 What a hidden little gem. I never knew it was there. Easy, flat, well maintained gravel trails. Loses one star because nearby route 24 traffic ruins the peacefulness.

Tollgate Park
Park
😐 My 14 year old son played a baseball game on field 1 and the field conditions were embarrassing. Ridges along the grass line, a sink hole in the in field grass and gullies in the infield dirt.
Someone will get hurt eventually if not already.

Bush Declaration Natural Resources Management Area

👍👍 Bush River is one of my favorite places to kayack. Theres also areas to fish on shore if you don't like boats. In the coves and tributaries is numerous eagles, osprey, and blue herring hunting for food all day long sometimes. Fishing is good for catfish, snakehead, bass, striped bass, and white perc...
