👍👍 Absolutely enjoyed walking in this area. Bathroom is located near the lock. Several picnic tables and charcoal BBQ pits in a nice green grassy area. Plenty of parking and not as crowded as the Point Of Rocks parking area a few miles away.

👍👍 Very interesting museum! The staff is very informative, and are happy to give you a guided tour of the museum. There is lots of information about naval anti-submarine patrols and the Navy survival training, which takes place in Redington. The flight simulator is also very realistic!

👍 Arrived late morning Sunday May 14, 2023. It was a really lovely day the wind was breezy and the air warm but not hot of humid. It's a short trail that due to the constant breeze was sand gnat free but under other conditions the sand gnats could be troublesome.

🫤 There is something weird going on here. Its really freaky to walk through it when it gets dark and there's even a website called sludgewalker . com that claims a monster lives in the woods... The park is decently maintained though so I'll give it that.
