👍👍 Early morning or late afternoon is best to see the buffalo. It's taken me two years of driving I-70 on other trips to get the timing right. But it's worth a stop if they're nearby.

👍👍 Absolutely gorgeous views and a free way to reset from a busy city schedule. We saw bison, prairie dogs, falcons, and a coyote! Great day other than when we visited, there was a large family allowing their children to climb on the bison enclosure to scream at the animals. We had to leave before we...

Maxwell National Wildlife Refuge
Wildlife refuge
👍👍 There's a few spots on the grass, but one prime spot under 2 trees large enough for a Class A to fit, with direct access to the boat launch, right on the water. You might have to wait a few days and be quick to move once it's free. The area is quiet, people go fishing around the lake, and the water...

Pueblo Reservoir Wildlife Area image

Pueblo Reservoir Wildlife Area

👍 It is wrong of them to have taken away the wildlife area on the north side of the reservoir. Guarantee, rich idiots cried & complained about gunfire.
